tja, das hätte sich Lester Young, der mann mit dem schrägen porkpie hut, den schrägen worten und dem schrägen Sax, wohl kaum träumen lassen, dass solch bastionen jemals von der damenwelt erobert werden würden...
zu seiner zeit standen die damen allerhöchstens am mikro, wie an seiner seite die große "Lady Day" Billie Holiday und nicht mit einem tenor oder gar bariton in der hand da.
seine berühmte frage "kann die dame brennen?" (alias - kann die frau kochen?) hätte er heutzutage wohl in "kann die dame tönen?" umformulieren müssen...
