Simon & Garfunkel - Kathy`s Song

Kathy`s Song was written about Paul Simon`s girlfriend Kathy Chitty, an English girl he was going out with whilst still building his music base and touring England as a folk singer in 1964/5. She is the subject of this song written when he was back in America. Later he returned to England and took her to America . Their touring was remembered in "America". Eventually she went home and in time they parted. As stated she is on the cover of the rare paul simon songbook.

Art introduced Kathy`s Song [in concert] by proclaiming that he thinks it is the most beautiful love song ever written by Paul.

Motorpsycho Nitemare

I pounded on a farmhouse
Lookin` for a place to stay.

Well, he threw a Reader`s Digest
At my head and I did run,
I did a somersault
As I seen him get his gun
And crashed through the window
At a hundred miles an hour,
And landed fully blast
In his garden flowers.
Rita said, "Come back!"
As he started to load

And I was runnin` down the road.

Well, I don`t figure I`ll be back
There for a spell,
Even though Rita moved away
And got a job in a motel.
