THE UNDERTONES
TEENAGE KICKS
Are teenage dreams so hard to beat
Everytime she walks down the street
Another girl in the neighbourhood
Wish she was mine, she looks so good
I wanna hold her wanna hold her tight
Get teenage kicks right through the night
I`m gonna call her on the telephone
Have her over cos i`m all alone
I need exitement oh i need it bad
And its the best, i`ve ever had
I wanna hold her wanna hold her tight
Get teenage kicks right through the night
I wanna hold her wanna hold her tight
Get teenage kicks right through the night

THE PUSHER • Steppenwolf
You know I`ve smoked a lot of grass
O` Lord, I`ve popped a lot of pills
But I never touched nothin`
That my spirit could kill
You know, I`ve seen a lot of people walkin` `round
With tombstones in their eyes
But the pusher don`t care
Ah, if you live or if you die
God damn, The Pusher
God damn, I say The Pusher
I said God damn, God damn The Pusher man
You know the dealer, the dealer is a man
With the love grass in his hand
Oh but the pusher is a monster
Good God, he`s not a natural man
The dealer for a nickel
Lord, will sell you lots of sweet dreams
Ah, but the pusher ruin your body
Lord, he`ll leave your, he`ll leave your mind to scream
God damn, The Pusher
God damn, God damn the Pusher
I said God damn, God, God damn The Pusher man
Well, now if I were the president of this land
You know, I`d declare total war on The Pusher man
I`d cut him if he stands, and I`d shoot him if he`d run
Yes I`d kill him with my Bible and my razor and my gun
God damn The Pusher
Gad damn The Pusher
I said God damn, God damn The Pusher man

..
"The Secrets Of The Beehive"
...ich besass die Platte bereits 3x......und 3x hab
ich sie irgendwem gegeben und nicht zurückbekommen,
....werde sie mir das 4.x , 5.x,.X.x ...holen müssen...
Er war mal der Sänger von Japan....

The Boy with the Gun
David Sylvian
He knows well his wicked ways
A course of bitterness
A grudge held from his childhood days
As if life had loved him less
Reading down his list of names
He ticks them one by one
He points the barrel at the sky
Firing shots off at the sun
"I am the law and I am the King
I am the wisdom, listen to me sing"
He carves out the victim`s names
In the wooden butt of the gun
He leans well back against the tree
He knows his Kingdom`s come
He`ll breath a sigh self satisfied
The work is in good hands
He shoots the coins into the air
And follows where the money lands
"I am the law and I am the King
I am the wisdom, listen to me sing"
He pauses at the city`s edge
Of hellfire and of stone

An anderer Stelle (stark beeindruckt) gelesen:
„frau dolce ist seit über 17 jahren mein liebend eheweib
eine lange zeit > > the best years of our life< < „
Dolcetto - meinen „allerphettesten rüspekt“ (wie du zu sagen pflegst)... here`s to the two of you :
A Good Heart
Feargal Sharkey
I hear a lot of stories, I suppose they could be true
All about love and what it can do for you
High is the risk of striking out, the risk of getting hurt
And still I have so much to learn
Well I know `cause I think about it all the time
I know that real love is quite a prize
And a good heart these days is hard to find
True love, the lasting kind
A good heart these days is hard to find
So please be gentle with this heart of mine
My expectations may be high, I blame it on my youth
Soon enough I`ll learn the painful truth
I`ll face it like a fighter then boast of how I`ve grown
Anything is better than being alone
Well I know `cause I learn a little every day
I know `cause I listen when the experts say that ...
A good heart these days is hard to find
True love, the lasting kind
A good heart these days is hard to find
So please be gentle with this heart of mine
As I reflect on all my childhood dreams
My ideas of love weren`t as foolish as they seemed
If I don`t start looking now I`ll be left behind
And a good heart these days, it`s hard to find
Well I know, it`s a dream I`m willing to defend
I know it will all be worth it in the end
A good heart these days is hard to find
True love, the lasting kind
A good heart these days is hard to find
So please be gentle with this heart of mine
Song info :
Song written by : Maria McKee
Originally performed by : Feargal Sharkey
Perfomed by Texas : during the 1989-1990 Tour
Maria McKee was the lead singer with Lone Justice. Whilst in the band she wrote "A Good Heart" which was recorded by Feargal Sharkey and reached number 1 in the UK singles charts. After that project disintegrated she recorded a solo self-titled album which stands as a classic album. A beautiful and honest album which showcased her vocal ability and songwriting craft. Texas performed their version of "A Good Heart" together with Maria in Glasgow way back in 1989, during that same concert Maria also joined them on "I Don`t Want A Lover" and "Prayer For You"

George Harrison got the idea for this song in 1968, after listening to a song by James Taylor,
titled, Something In The Way She Moves, and decided to build a song around it. Harrison finished
the song, and recorded it in February, April and again in May 1969 during the Abbey Road Sessions.
This would come to be the only song by The Beatles that Frank Sinatra would sing. Sinatra called it
"the greatest love song ever written," and performed it hundreds of times. Sinatra did however change
it slightly to serve his style, changing the middle section to "You stick around, Jack, she might show.
" Throughout Sinatra`s many performances of this song, he always introduced it as the song by
Lennon and McCartney, never giving the credit to Harrison. I don`t think there was any ill intent,
it was just that Sinatra either never bothered finding out the correct information, or didn`t care,
as Lennon-McCartney carried more weight.

Something in the way she moves
James Taylor
There`s something in the way she moves,
Or looks my way, or calls my name,
That seems to leave this troubled world behind.
And if I`m feeling down and blue,
Or troubled by some foolish game,
She always seems to make me change my mind.
And I feel fine anytime she`s around me now,
She`s around me now
Just about all the time
And if I`m well you can tell she`s been with me now,
She`s been with me now quite a long, long time
And I feel fine.
It isn`t what she`s got to say
But how she thinks and where she`s been
To me, the words are nice, the way they sound
I like to hear them best that way
It doesn`t much matter what they mean
If she says them mostly just to calm me down
And I feel fine anytime she`s around me now,
She`s around me now
Just about all the time
And if I`m well you can tell she`s been with me now,
She`s been with me now quite a long, long time
And I feel fine.
Every now and then the things I lean on lose their meaning
And I find myself careening
Into places where I should not let me go.
-- She has the power to go where no one else can find me
And to silently remind me
Of the happiness and the good times that I know, got to know.
And I feel fine anytime she`s around me now,
She`s around me now
Just about all the time
And if I`m well you can tell she`s been with me now,
She`s been with me now quite a long, long time
