Die Experten von "Oberbayerischer Börsenbrief" stufen die Aktie von Centrex Inc. (ISIN US15640E1038/ WKN 541434) mit "spekulativ kaufen" ein.

Das 1998 gegründete und in Oklahoma ansässige Unternehmen besitze weltweit die exklusive Lizenz zur Single Molecule Detection (SMD), einer Technologie die in den Laboren von Los Alamos entwickelt worden sei. Aus charttechnischer Sicht befinde sich die Aktie seit August letzten Jahres in einem deutlich ausgeprägten und immer noch intaktem Abwärtstrend. Charttechnische Indikatoren wie MACD und RSI würden sich im neutralen Bereich befinden und seien daher aktuell nur wenig aussagekräftig. Bis zu dem Kursziel von 0,20 USD sei lediglich bei 0,15 USD ein Widerstand auszumachen. Unter Chartaspekten sei die Aktie derzeit weder ein klarer Kauf noch ein Verkauf. Die Umsätze in den USA seien beachtlich und auch in Berlin würden sich bereits gewisse Volumina etablieren. Die Experten würden empfehlen die Käufe stets relativ eng zu limitieren.

Klar sollte herausgestellt werden, dass es sich bei Centrex um eine sogenannte "development-stage-company" handle, das heiße dass sich die Technologie noch im Endstadium der Entwicklung befinde und das Unternehmen bisher auch noch keine nennenswerten Umsätze erziele. Ein Investment in Centrex beinhalte also zweifelsohne nicht zu vernachlässigende Risiken. Dennoch, in den Augen der Experten seien die Chancen, die mit dieser Aktie verbunden seien, bedeutend größer als dass damit einhergehende Risiko. Die große weltweite Bedrohung der letzten Jahrzehnte seien nukleare Angriffe gewesen. Innerhalb der kommenden Jahre und Jahrezehnte könnte sich dieses Bedrohungsszenario dahingehend ändern, dass die Angst vor Angriffen bzw. terroristischen Anschlägen mit bisher nicht dagewesenen biologischen und chemischen Kampfstoffen, weltweit um sich greife.

Vergleiche man nukleare Bomben mit Biowaffen entsprechender Dosierung, stelle man sehr schnell fest, dass die Auswirkungen hier noch viel schrecklicher, weitreichender und unkontrollierbarer seien. Seit dem 11. September 2001 habe sich die Welt verändert. Menschen hätten Angst, selbst zum Opfer unvorhersehbarer und völlig unvermittelter Anschläge zu werden. Diese tiefsitzende Angst suche nach Sicherheit. Centrex könne mit seiner revolutionären Technologie eine ganze Menge Sicherheit bieten. Sicherheit, die jeder tagtäglich in Anspruch nehme, sei es im Flugzeug, am Bahnsteig oder im Postamt.

Würden die ersten dieser Früherkennungs- und Identifikationssysteme an vielerlei Orten installiert, erwarte man einen Multiplikatoreffekt, der die Umsätze bei Centrex in ungeahnte Höhen schnellen lasse. Das Kursziel von 0,20 USD sehe man dann nur noch als erste kleine Zwischenetappe zu weit höheren Notierungen. Nach Meinung der Experten stünden die Chancen gut, dass sich Centrex zu einem Big Player in einer der (so traurig es auch klingen möge) Zukunftsbranchen entwickle.

Daher empfehlen die Experten von "Oberbayerischer Börsenbrief" die Aktie von Centrex Inc. spekulativ zu kaufen.

Centrex Investigates SARS Detection

TULSA, Okla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 22, 2003--Centrex, Inc. (OTCBB:CNEX - News) today announced that the Company is investigating the potential for its Single Molecule Detection (SMD) technology to detect the presence of the SARS associated coronavirus: SARS Coronavirus Tor2. A team of scientists at Canada`s British Columbia Cancer Agency announced the completion of the genetic sequence for the coronavirus believed to be responsible for the new disease called severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS). Another genetic sequencing team of scientists at the CDC in the United States has unveiled an almost identical version of the complete SARS virus genome. This information should help in the development of more accurate diagnostic tests for this disease. SARS is believed to have originated in China last November and has now spread to more than 19 countries.
The complete genome sequence of this new single strand RNA virus consists of 29,727 nucleotides, placing it well within the typical RNA boundaries for coronaviruses. Members of this viral family tend to have between 29,000 and 31,000 nucleotides. The genetic sequence of SARS Coronavirus Tor2 is deposited under GenBank Accession Number: AY274119, and is accessible on the Internet. It is also available on the CDC Web site. The genome sequence provides further evidence that SARS is caused by a new type of coronavirus, the same type of virus that causes some forms of the common cold. Centrex scientists are optimistic that the genome data might eventually lead to an accurate, specific, rapid and inexpensive diagnostic test for the SARS virus.

Dr. Henry Niman of Harvard Medical School said the new data shows that part of the SARS genome is similar to certain avian viruses. That is consistent with earlier reports that SARS may have spread from birds to humans. "Unfortunately, comparing it (this genetic sequence) to other animal viruses has not given us any real leads," said Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Julie Gerberding. "We can`t say it`s mouse or pig (or other animal) yet because it`s not similar enough (to any animal viruses) to draw those conclusions."

Coughlin, Jr., "Viruses that emerge as a human disease by spreading from animals to humans are often quickly confined to a very small geographic area because they can`t be passed directly from human to human. But SARS has proven to be extremely difficult to control because humans can easily transmit it to each other. When someone with the virus sneezes or coughs and another person inhales infected droplets, or when a person touches something that`s been contaminated by a SARS patient, the virus is easily transmitted to that second person. It should be noted that the last major new human to human virus was HIV, and, in some respects (SARS) is worse than HIV as far as being more easily transmitted from human to human. All you have to do is sneeze and someone else gets infected."

Centrex Announces Micronics Development Agreement; Company Expanding Efforts to Introduce Bio-Threat Detection System

TULSA, Okla., Jun 3, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Centrex, Inc. (OTCBB:CNEX) today announced that it has signed a development agreement with Redmond, Washington-based Micronics, Inc. to design and develop disposable, multipurpose microfluidics lab cards that incorporate Centrex`s single molecule nucleic acid detection ("SMD") technology.

Centrex`s SMD technology has been exclusively licensed from Los Alamos National Laboratories and represents advantages over existing DNA and RNA detection methods as well as culture-based test methods. The technology eliminates the need for amplification of the target DNA, which reduces the possibility of false positive and negative test results -- common concerns identified with others test procedures. Centrex`s detection system is designed to be adaptable to the detection of a variety of bacterial or viral organisms by recognizing the unique DNA or RNA fingerprint of the organism.

Centrex plans to focus on the commercialization of a first product that provides a simultaneous multi-channel detection system that is compact, fully automated and capable of monitoring the presence of biological agents in air, food and water. Potential additional applications for the Centrex technology include bioterrorism and Homeland Security, food and water processing, blood supply screening, and general DNA/RNA testing.

Under the agreement, Centrex has retained Micronics, Inc, to provide custom lab card design, development and prototypes systems. The proposed lab card for the Centrex system is expected to include fully automated on-card sample preparation, mixing, separation, and analysis. Reagent and waste storage also are designed to be on card for ease of use and disposal.

Micronics is believed to offer the most sophisticated and rapid lab card prototyping facility in the world today, including an extensive materials and designs library. Micronics is capable of producing over 40,000 prototype lab cards per year in its Class 10000 facility. Micronics also is considered the world leader in the use of thin film laminates and injection molding solutions in lab card development.
