Natural Health Trends Corp. Launches Two New Products at Las Vegas Convention
180 Degree Life System Carb-Blocker Diet Supplement Blocks Starches, Noni Juice Promotes Good Health

      WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 08, 2003 08:31 AM

DALLAS, Texas, Oct 8, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Natural Health Trends Corp. (OTC BB: NHLC), an international direct-selling company, announced on September 26 the launch of a new carbohydrate blocker for the $40 billion weight loss market as well as a Noni-juice beverage for the health food market at its Lexxus Division distributor convention in Las Vegas, NV.

180 Degree Life System Carb-Blocker is a carbohydrate blocker developed by Natural Health Trends Corp. with Dr. Steven Rosenblatt, author of the best selling book "The Starch Blocker Diet" (Harper Collins). Over 20 years of research stand behind this revolutionary, all-natural, non-stimulant weight loss product synthesized from white kidney beans. By blocking up to 1/3 of the calories a dieter eats, this ephedra-free and ma huang-free, proprietary formula helps burn fat by preventing the starch in foods, such as pizza, pasta, bread, rice and potatoes from turning into sugar, forcing the body to use stored fat for energy.

Mark Woodburn, president of Natural Health Trends Corp., said, "We are very excited about this product because it approaches dieting sensibly and scientifically. The research behind the low-carbohydrate diets has shown that starches contribute greatly to the overweight epidemic. 180 Degree Life System Carb-Blocker takes that knowledge one step further by letting you eat some starches and preventing your body from absorbing all the calories in them."

Dr. Steven Rosenblatt said, "Excess weight is more serious than not looking good in a swimming suit, it is a potential threat to your health and even your life. Studies have shown that overweight women have a 62% higher death rate than women who are not, and for men, it`s 52% higher. Diabetes, cancer and arthritis are just some of the problems that being too heavy can cause. And the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say 65% of U.S. adults are overweight."

In addition to the 180 Degree Life System Carb-Blocker, Natural Health Trends Corp. introduced its first Noni-fruit juice drink, called "Premium Noni Juice". Also known as Indian Mulberry and Morinda Citrifolia, Noni-fruit comes from the South Pacific, where the local people have used it for thousands of years because it is rich in vitamins, minerals, enzymes, antioxidants, phytonutrients and bioflavonoids. The 100% organic Noni fruit in "Premium Noni Juice" is harvested in internationally certified organic plantations on the Samoan Islands in the South Pacific. The all-natural drink contains Noni juice as well as pineapple, white grape and Concord grape juices.

Woodburn said, "Of all the fruits, Noni has the highest known concentration of pro-xeronine, which the body turns into xeronine, which seems to enhance the ability of the body`s cells to absorb nutrients and makes them more metabolically efficient. While promising research of the positive attributes of Noni juice is still in the early stages, preliminary results and anecdotal evidence have made believers out of our development team. And unlike many health drinks, our Noni juice tastes great."

Natural Health Trends Corp. showcased the products over the weekend of September 26-28 at a convention in Las Vegas where it hosted its Lexxus Division distributors in North America.

Woodburn concluded, "We have got the greatest sales force in the business, and they deserve to sell the greatest products we can design. We expect tremendous support for both the 180 Degree Life System Carb-Blocker and Premium Noni Juice, and our product development pipeline is nowhere near empty."

      Mal sehen...:D

Natural Health Trends Corp. to File Extension for Third-Quarter Results
Monday November 17, 10:06 am ET

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 17, 2003--Natural Health Trends Corp. (OTC BB: NHLC), an international direct-selling company, today announced that it will file a Form 12b-25 with the Securities and Exchange Commission to extend the deadline for filing its Form 10-QSB for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2003 until Wednesday, November 19, 2003.
Mark Woodburn, President of Natural Health Trends Corp. stated, "The Company will require a few more days to prepare its final results for the third quarter of 2003 and we plan to file within the five day extension period. We are currently reviewing our prior accounting practices, particularly with respect to certain revenue recognition matters relating to administrative enrollment fees received from distributors. We have not concluded our analysis, but believe that these revenues actually received and recorded as current income may need to be deferred under generally accepted accounting principles. This would require us to reduce such revenues recorded in fiscal years 2001 and 2002 and increase such revenues for the current year. During this analysis, we are reviewing the adequacy of our reserves for returns and refunds. In addition, we are reviewing the accounting treatment for a disposition of a subsidiary dating back to 2001. While we are not prepared to disclose financial results at this time, I will say that we are extremely pleased with the performance of the business during the third quarter. Management believes that product shipments, the number of independent distributors of our products, and total revenues have all increased substantially compared with the second quarter of this year as well as the third quarter of 2002."

      Also viel Glück allen!

Natural Health Trends Corp. Reports Strong Growth in Sales and Operating Income for Both the Three and Nine Months Ended September 30, 2003
Wednesday November 19, 2:49 pm ET
Net Sales for Three and Nine Months Increase in Excess of 50% Company Restates Financial Statements

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 19, 2003-- Natural Health Trends Corp. (OTC BB: NHLC), an international direct-selling company, announced today its financial results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2003.

      Nine-Month Results

Net sales for the nine months rose by 60% to $39.4 million from $24.6 million (as restated) for the same period in 2002. The increased sales were primarily from additional sales of Lexxus products and the expansion of Lexxus into new international markets, including the launch of Lexxus into South Korea in June 2003. In addition, revenues increased due to the deferral of revenue related to the administrative enrollment fee of distributors, partially offset by a reserve for refunds and sales returns coupled with a slight decrease in the sales of eKaire products.

Gross profit for the nine months ended September 30, 2003 climbed to $31.9 million from $20.1 million (as restated) for the same period in 2002. The increase in gross profit was attributable to higher sales volumes by Lexxus and also attributable to the deferral of both revenue and cost of sales related to the administrative enrollment fee of distributors.

The nine months ending September 30, 2003 boasted an operating income of $4.9 million, which was a substantial increase over the results in the same period of 2002 of $0.5 million (as restated).

Net income for the period rose to $3.4 million, or $0.75 per basic share and $0.61 per diluted share, from $0.8 million, or $0.28 per basic and diluted share for the same restated period in 2002. In the intervening year, the number of basic shares rose to 4.6 million (5.7 million diluted) as of September 30, 2003 from 2.9 million (2.9 million diluted) as of September 30, 2002. The increase in net income is due to increased sales and efficient cost containment efforts partially offset by an income tax provision.

      Restatement of Financial Statements

During the third quarter, the Company determined that under Staff Accounting Bulletin No. 101 "Revenue Recognition in Financial Statements" administrative enrollment fees received from distributors actually received and recorded as current sales in prior quarters should have been deferred and recognized systematically to income over the twelve-month period for which the fees are earned. A restatement resulted in net sales for the three and nine-month periods ended September 30, 2002 being decreased by approximately $156,000 and $1,537,000, respectively. The restatement in net sales resulted in a corresponding adjustment to cost of sales for direct costs paid to a third party associated with the administrative enrollment fees received from distributors. Compared to amounts previously reported, the cost of sales decreased by approximately $115,000 and $324,000 for the three and nine-month periods ended September 30, 2002, respectively.

In addition, the Company reviewed the adequacy of its reserves for distributor sales returns and refunds as of September 30, 2003 and for comparative prior periods. Based upon an analysis of the Company`s historical returns and refund trends by country, it was determined that the reserves for returns and refunds for prior quarters were not adequate and should be restated. The restatement resulted in net sales for the three and nine-month periods ended September 30, 2002 being decreased by approximately $88,000 and $262,000, respectively, with corresponding adjustments to cost of sales for the estimated cost of products returned.

As previously disclosed in the Company`s 2001 and 2002 Form 10-KSB, the Company sold in 2001 all of the outstanding common stock in Kaire Nutraceuticals, Inc. ("Kaire"), a Delaware corporation and wholly-owned subsidiary, to a third party. The gain on the sale of Kaire of approximately $3.1 million was previously deferred. The Company subsequently recognized into income approximately $1.9 million from the transaction over the period from Q4 2001 through Q2 2003. Based upon a review of the transaction, the Company now believes the gain on sale of Kaire should have been recognized only in 2001 and 2002. There is no impact of this restatement for the three or nine months ended September 30, 2002.

The Company disclosed in it`s 2002 Form 10-KSB that it had a net operating loss carry forward at December 31, 2002 of approximately $6,000,000, subject to certain limitations. Consequently, the Company made no provision for income taxes for any period in either 2001 or 2002. Upon further review, it has been determined that the available net operating loss is not expected to be sufficient to offset all of the taxable income in 2002 and 2003 and that an estimated income tax provision in the amount of $600,000 and $1,200,000 is necessary for the year ended December 31, 2002 and the nine months ended September 30, 2003, respectively. There is, however, no impact of this restatement for the three or nine months ended September 30, 2002.

Mark Woodburn, President of Natural Health Trends Corp., stated, "We are extremely pleased with our current results, which have set a company record for revenue." He added, "We were, however, very disappointed that these accounting issues arose and had the effect of delaying the announcement of these results. However, in the current climate, it is vital for us to make certain that everything is properly reviewed and recorded in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles in the US."

      Three-Month Results

Net sales for the third quarter 2003 climbed to $16.7 million from $10.8 million in the restated third quarter 2002. Gross profit in the third quarter 2003 reached $13.1 million versus $8.8 million for the same restated period of 2002.

Operating income for the third quarter 2003 increased to $1.9 million from $1.3 million for the same restated period prior year. An income tax provision of $500,000 was recorded in the third quarter 2003, which directly affects the third quarter net income amount. Net income for the third quarter of 2003 held strong at $1.3 million, or $0.27 per basic share and $0.22 per diluted share, from $1.5 million in same restated period prior year, or $0.49 per basic and diluted share.

A conference call will be held today, November 19, 2003, 3:00 pm EST to discuss the company`s quarterly and nine-month results. Those who wish to participate in the conference call may telephone (888) 335-6674 approximately 15 minutes before the 3:00 pm starting time. A digital replay will be available by telephone for 2 weeks at (877) 519-4471 toll free in the United States or (973) 341-3080 for international callers, PIN # 4328965.

Natural Health Trends Corp. to File Extension for Filing of Annual Report
Tuesday March 30, 2:37 pm ET

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 30, 2004--Natural Health Trends Corp. (OTCBB: NHLC - News), an international direct-selling company, today announced that it will file an extension with respect to its Annual Report on Form 10-KSB for the year ended December 31, 2003.
The Company requires additional time to finalize its audited financial statements and expects to file its 2003 Annual Report before the expiration of the 15-day extended filing deadline. As previously disclosed, the Company is restating its 2001 and 2002 Annual Reports and all quarterly reports for 2001, 2002 and 2003, and also expects to file these reports within the same time period.

Management is happy to announce that it anticipates reporting that net sales for 2003 will increase to approximately $62 million from the expected restated net sales of $37 million for 2002. Similarly, the Company looks forward to reporting a significant increase in net income for 2003 as compared to the expected restated 2002 net income. The increase in net sales and net income for 2003 is primarily attributable to the increased number of active Lexxus distributors, increased sales of Lexxus products, and Lexxus` expansion into new markets, including Taiwan in 2001, Eastern Europe, Hong Kong, India, Singapore and the Philippines in 2002 and South Korea in 2003.

Mark Woodburn, President of Natural Health Trends Corp., said, "We are very excited and eagerly anticipate reporting our year end financial results as soon as possible and certainly expect to file before the extended filing deadline."

Natural Health Trends Corp. is an international direct-selling company operating in more than 30 markets throughout Asia, North America and Eastern Europe. The Company markets premium quality personal care products under the Lexxus brand and markets its nutritional supplement products under the Kaire brand. Additional information can be found on the Company`s website, www.naturalhealthtrendscorp.com, and management encourages interested parties to register for updated corporate information via e-mail on the Company`s homepage.

      Der Grund ist:

The company revealed that 285k per day was being sold into Hong Kong during Q1. That represented 25.7MM of the Q1 sales (roughly 68%).

Now, those sales are running 60% LESS than the Q1 pace....a huge difference. That means that nearly 41% of Q1 sales may be lost in Q2.

I sold most of my shares at the open, and will be listening to the CC for more details.

NHLC said on the CC they are applying for NASDAQ NMS Listing. The expect to listed in a few months. Also, the company said Hong Kong is recovering already.

      @Falke28,

      Markets
Natural Health Trends Corp. is a global corporation, conducting business in more than 30 countries worldwide. In 2003, approximately 60% of our sales were in Asia.

Since we operate in only three of the top ten direct-selling markets in the world, we intend to actively pursue several of these top selling markets. Now that we have readily available capital, we look forward to focusing our efforts on growth and we are very optimistic about the Company`s future."
