CANGOLD LIMITED is a Vancouver-based junior exploration company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the trading symbol ‘CLD’. As its name suggests, the Company is focused upon the exploration for and development of precious metal deposits in Canada.

CANGOLD uses a model-driven approach to exploration in its search for high-quality, high-grade deposits. Its projects include a high grade past-producing gold mine with million ounce potential in Ontario’s Red Lake District, a silver-gold high sulphidation epithermal deposit with world class proportions in northwestern British Columbia, and two grassroots conceptual targets, also in Ontario.

Current Operations

Exploration and development of precious metal projects in Canada. CANGOLD’s two key projects are:
Argosy Gold Mine
Advanced exploration at this past producer in the Red Lake Mining District of northwestern Ontario. Historic gold production totaled over 100,000 ounces at a grade of 0.37oz/t (12.7g/t). The mine closed in 1952 and was only developed to a depth of 900 feet (270m). The Company is drilling under the old workings in order to establish the down-dip continuity of the gold mineralization. CANGOLD has a goal of developing a million ounce resource.

Thorn Property
Located in northwestern British Columbia, this project contains a 1.5 kilometre-long high sulphidation epithermal system with the potential for a multi-million ounce discovery. Modeled after Barrick’s El Indio Mine in Chile (6.2 million oz gold and 2 billion pounds copper) the mineralization at Thorn consists of massive sulphide veins and sulphide-rich breccia. Bonanza grades locally exceed 20g/t gold, 2400g/t silver and 10% copper in the veins and silicified breccia, while other areas of breccia contain more than 6,000g/t silver and 40% lead. A summer 2003 exploration program will test the continuity of this high grade mineralization.

New Gold Zone Identified At Argosy

CANGOLD LIMITED (TSX-V: CLD), on behalf of the Argosy Joint Venture, is pleased to announce the identification of a new zone of sulphide-related gold mineralization 2.5 kilometres southeast of the old mine workings of the Argosy Mine. Re-sampling of old drill core yielded several gold-bearing intervals, the most significant of which returned 4.8g/t Au over 7.7 metres, including 9.4g/t over 2.5 metres.

Drill logs from the old hole (hole CC-2 drilled by Goldfields in 1989) filed with the government assessment office indicate strong silicification, albitization, sericitization, quartz-ankerite-pyrite-arsenopyrite veining and disseminated pyrite-arsenopyrite mineralization but no assays were provided. Some of the core was subsequently found at the old drill camp and re-assayed as part of the ongoing evaluation of other targets on the Argosy property. Two other holes were known to have been drilled in the immediate area but the core has been dumped and is not useable.

The location of drill hole CC-2 was established in the field and it now appears that the mineralized zone correlates extremely well with a strong chargeability anomaly obtained from the IP survey conducted by Cangold this past summer. The survey was conducted specifically to detect this style of sulphide-related gold mineralization, based upon descriptions from these old drill logs. The chargeability anomaly is at least 600 metres long and extends off the grid at both ends. The survey will be expanded as soon as field conditions permit in order to trace the zone farther along strike.

This new zone represents a different style of mineralization than the quartz vein-hosted gold mined in the past. Due to the excellent correlation with the geophysics, it should be relatively easy to trace the new zone, prioritize drill targets and identify other nearby areas of potential mineralization. This will be a prime target for follow-up diamond drilling scheduled to begin in early January.

The recent field program included four diamond drill holes completed by the Argosy JV, totaling 971 metres, which were drilled on portions of the known vein system. They consisted of two shallow holes (AM03-08 and 09) to test the continuity of high-grade gold mineralization intersected this summer in the `P` and `Contact` Zones (75.54 g/t over 0.34m and 32.4g/t over 0.48m, respectively), one deep hole (AM03-10) to test the down-dip continuity of the No. 2 Vein Zone (11.75g/t over 1.55m and 14.39g/t over 0.7m) and No. 3 Vein Zone (14.67g/t over 1.7m) intersected last year in hole AM02-07, and one short hole (AM03-11) to test the up-dip portion of this same No. 3 Zone intersection.

All vein zones were intersected as planned, however, grades were lower than in previous holes. While some of this can be attributed to the irregular distribution of gold in the veins, it also appears that holes AM03-10 and -11 may have been drilled off the side of the "ore shoot" which typically contains the bulk of the mineralization in vein zones. As hole AM03-10 was drilled about 90m down-dip of hole AM02-07, future holes in this area will be drilled closer to the latter in order to better determine the attitude of the mineralized structure.

The Argosy Gold Mine Project is located in the Red Lake Mining District of northwestern Ontario and is a 51:49 Joint Venture between CANGOLD and Wolfden Resources Inc. (TSX: WLF; www.wolfdenresources.com), with CANGOLD as the operator. The Argosy Mine produced 102,000 ounces of gold at a grade of 12.7g/t (0.37 oz/t) before closing in 1952 and was only mined to a depth of 270 metres.

AUSTRALIAN junior Investika and its joint venture partner in the Subranum gold project in Ghana, Cambrian Mining, have extended the project`s known gold mineralisation to 850m in length over the southern section of the tenements.

Previous RAB drilling campaigns carried out on the project by the partners had intersected significant shallow intersections over 450m with the better intercepts assaying 13m at 17.84gpt gold from 33m at depth.

Further RAB drilling just north of where the last assays terminated in the previous drilling program returned intersections of 12m grading 2.32gpt gold and 8m grading 3.3gpt.

Around 200m north of these intersections the partners found mineralisation grading slightly better than 0.5gpt gold over a 4m composite sample while 100m to the north again, two more holes returned mineralisation including 12m at 1.24gpt gold.

Investika said RAB drilling is continuing over the entire 6.5km gold anomaly previously identified by soil sampling trenching and limited drilling work.

Currently Investika has the right t earn up to a 45% stake in the project, which is located on the eastern margin of the Sefwi-Bibiani belt in the Ashanti region of Ghana.

Investika shares were up 9.7% this morning trading at 3.4 cents on the Australian Stock Exchange.

CAMBRIAN ANNOUNCES PLANS TO TAKE ITS HOLDING IN DEEPGREEN MINERALS TO 100%

Directors of Cambrian Mining Plc (" Cambrian or the Company" ) advise they have
entered into a conditional agreement with the board of Deepgreen Minerals
Corporation Ltd (" Deepgreen) under which Cambrian will acquire all shares,
options and notes in Deepgreen not already owned by Cambrian.

Based on Friday`s closing price of Cambrian of 54p, the proposed transaction
values the 165 million Deepgreen shares, 52 million options and $1.85 million of
convertible/redeemable notes not already owned by Cambrian at £5.1 million.

The acquisition will give Cambrian shareholders 100% ownership of a producing
coal mine at Pageton in West Virginia, US, and a direct 50% equity in Western
Canadian Coal Corporation which expects to have permits in place for the
development of two metallurgical coal mines in British Columbia, Canada, by the
third quarter of 2004.

It will also give Cambrian a 55% direct interest in Asia Energy Plc, the owner
of the Phulbari, Bangladesh, thermal coal deposit which is planning to list on
AIM in the first quarter of 2004.

Finally, it will help simplify Cambrian`s structure by increasing its direct
interest in AGD Mining Ltd from 13.5% to 35%. AGD has lodged applications for
the development of a small but high grade gold and antimony mine near Melbourne,
Australia.

The proposed purchase by Cambrian will be executed by way of a Scheme of
Arrangement between Cambrian, Deepgreen and Deepgreen`s share and option
holders. The Scheme is required to be approved by an Australian court and by
Deepgreen`s shareholders.

The terms of the Scheme are that Cambrian will issue one ordinary share for
every 24 Deepgreen ordinary shares and one Cambrian share for every 75 Deepgreen
options.
In the event that Deepgreen note holders elect to convert and accept the
proposal, the merger will result in the issue of approximately 9.4 million new
Cambrian shares.

The chief executive officer of Cambrian, John Byrne, commented :

" This merger will complete the first 18 months of Cambrian`s five year plan to
establish itself as a significant junior mining finance house in London with a
diversified portfolio of mines and mining companies under its corporate
umbrella. The shareholders` funds of Cambrian have grown from £1.4 million at 30
June, 2002, to £2.8 million at the 30 June, 2003. If Cambrian`s accounts are
adjusted to reflect current market value of listed investments its shareholder
funds would have jumped from £2.8 million at June 30 to £9 million at the end of
October. The completion of the merger will raise shareholder funds to £14.1
million which is almost a ten fold increase in 18 months" .

Our focus over the next year will be to:

1. Increase profitability from Pageton.
2. Complete permitting and financing for the development of two new
metallurgical coal mines in Western Canadian Coal.
3. Move Western Canadian Coal from the junior Toronto Venture Exchange to the
main exchange and obtain an AIM listing.
4. List Asia Energy Plc on AIM and raise sufficient funds to complete a
feasibility study on development of the Phulbari coal project.
5. Assist Ivernia West in rapid development of its exciting Magellan lead
project in Western Australia and assemble a portfolio of advanced zinc
projects.
6. Accelerate exploration drilling on the Subranum gold project and confirm its
potential as a significant new gold discovery.
7. Initiate development of AGD`s Costerfield gold project

Die WintercBohrung Beginnt Bei Argosy

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CANGOLD BEGRENZT (Tsx-v: CLD), im Namen der Joint Ventures Argosy, freut sich, den Anfang eines bohrenprogramms des Winterdiamanten am Goldmineprojekt Argosy im roten Sebergbaugebiet von nordwestlichem Ontario zu verkünden.

Die Bohrung besteht aus mindestens 2.500 Metern in ungefähr 12 Bohrungen und konzentriert zuerst auf die neue Zone der Sulfid-in Verbindung stehenden Goldmineralisierung, die im Oktober, 2003 gekennzeichnet wird. Diese Zone, die 2,5 Kilometer Südosten der alten Funktionen der Grube Argosy liegt, wurde zuerst von Goldfields 1988 entdeckt. Goldfields bohrte nur 3 Bohrungen auf dem Horizont jedoch vor dem Ausziehen des Bereichs. Re-Musterstück des alten Bohrgerätkernes von einer dieser Bohrungen erbrachte einige Gold-Lagerabstände, das bedeutendste für welches Au 4.8g/t über 7,7 Metern zurückbrachte, einschließlich 9.4g/t über 2,5 Metern. Es scheint, daß die mineralisierte Zone extrem gut mit einer starken IPCHARGEABILITYABWEICHUNG aufeinander bezieht, die mindestens 600 Meter lang beträgt. Vier bis fünf Bohrungen werden gebohrt, um diese Zone zu prüfen.

Das Winterprogramm umfaßt auch vier bis sechs vom Eis auf Projektionen des bekannten Gruben-Adersystems zu bohrende Diamantbohrgerätbohrungen Argosy heraus unter Casummit See. Insbesondere prüfen diese Bohrungen auf Fortsetzungen des #1- und ` p-` Adersystems sowie für Schlagverlängerungen die Zonen der Ader von von #3 und von von #5. Zusätzliche Bohrungen prüfen die Verteilung der Goldgrade innerhalb der Ader #3.

Das Goldmineprojekt Argosy ist eine 51:49 Joint Venture zwischen CANGOLD und Wolfden Resources Inc. (TSX: WLF; www.wolfdenresources.com ), mit CANGOLD als dem Operator. Die Grube Argosy 102.000 Unzen Gold an einem Grad von 12.7g/t (0,37 oz/t) bevor sie 1952 schloß produzierte und nur zu einer Tiefe von 270 Metern gewonnen wurde.

WOLFDEN RESOURCES INC. (TSX:WLF) is pleased to announce that 2004 will be the most active, in terms of exploration, in Company history. More than $20 Million is being budgeted with major drill programs, totalling approximately 100,000 meters (328,000 feet), on several of the Company`s properties. This activity will place Wolfden as one of North America`s most active exploration companies in 2004. Red Lake drill programs are being initiated, including a major drill campaign beginning immediately on the East Bay Property with Placer Dome. Underground drilling will be performed at Bachelor Lake, intensive expansion drilling is starting at Monument Bay, and major exploration and development programs will take place of Wolfden`s Nunavut Properties; High Lake and Ulu.

EAST BAY PROPERTY - Red Lake

----------------------------

Wolfden has earned a 50% interest in the East Bay Property, located in the Red Lake Mining District, from PLACER DOME (CLA) LTD, a subsidiary of PLACER DOME INC. (TSX:PDG). Future exploration on the Property will be funded on a 50/50 basis, and the partners are in the process of initiating a $3 Million exploration program.

Placer Dome, as operator, is mobilizing to begin a major drill campaign from the ice of East Bay. Four to six drills will be used to drill 30 to 40 holes totalling approximately 19,000 meters. This drilling will focus on defining and extending the known area of mineralization, the `GAZ`Zone, encountered in the 2003 drill campaign in order to generate an inferred resource. The 2003 program identified three parallel gold horizons with significant gold intercepts including the following:

EB-03-03 - 12.00m EB-03-04 - 11.00m grading 7.40g/t Au grading 15.32g/t Au

EB-03-06 - 1.20m EB-03-08 - 4.30m grading 13.78g/t Au grading 22.64g/t Au

EB-03-10 - 6.90m EB-03-13 - 2.35m grading 12.91g/t Au grading 26.56g/t Au

EB-03-13 - 15.20m EB-03-15 - 1.10m grading 5.55g/t Au grading 29.52g/t Au

Additional drilling will explore the flanks of the known mineralized areas, and target area identified by structural and geophysical methods.

MARATHON PROPERTY - Red Lake

Placer Dome, who can earn up to a 60% interest in the Property, has notified Wolfden that initial underground drilling from the 27 Level workings of the adjacent Campbell Gold Mine will take place on the Marathon Property early in 2004. Upon completion of an exploration drift, additional underground drilling is expected from the 39 Level of the mine.

In December 2003, a surface program was completed on the Property, funded by Placer Dome. This drilling intersected a similar rock sequence to that at Campbell, including altered ultramafic rock units and stringer zones. The best interval from this program was 1.80g/t Au across 2.3m (including 5.66g/t Au across 0.4m) in a quartz carbonate stringer zone in basalts.

EAST BAY (WEST) PROPERTY - Red Lake

A drill program is planned to begin within the next two weeks on the East Bay (West) Property, where Wolfden holds an option to earn up to a 60% interest from Rubicon Minerals Corporation (TSX-RMX). This drill program, totalling approximately 4,500 meters at a cost of approximately $500,000, will target mafic/ultramafic rock units similar to those being drilled at the adjoining East Bay Property.

RED LAKE - OTHER

----------------

Wolfden is planning drill programs on the Skinner Gold Property, Newman- Heyson/Nova-Co Property, Follansbee Property (a joint-venture with Interquest Incorporated (TSX-V:IQT)), and approximately 2,500 meters at the Argosy Gold Property (a joint-venture with Cangold Limited (TSX-V:CLD)). Approximately $750,000 is expected to be spent on these properties in 2004.

BACHELOR LAKE PROPERTY

----------------------

Wolfden has awarded a dewatering and rehabilitation contract on the Bachelor Lake Property to Talpa Inc. Beginning immediately, personnel are being mobilized to begin rehabilitation of the Bachelor Lake mine site in order to begin dewatering of the shaft for a major, 10-15,000 meter, underground exploration drill campaign. The aim of the program is to define a new ore body that would justify production from the property. Wolfden has the right to earn up to a 50% interest in the Bachelor Lake Property from Campbell Resources Inc. (TSX:CCH; OTCBB:CBLRF) by spending $3 Million on the Property, the budget of the current program.

Upon completion of the dewatering program, two drills will be mobilized to drill below the bottom level of the Shaft (Approx. 1700 feet), primarily to test the unmined `B-Zone`. The Bachelor Lake Property is host to the following undiluted resource (Source: Campbell Resources Joint Management Information Circular May 10, 2001):

MONUMENT BAY PROPERTY ---------------------

An extensive expansion drill program is starting at Monument Bay. Approximately 17,500 meters of drilling is planned in the main Twin Lakes and Twin West zones. This program, budgeted at approximately $4 Million, will be funded by Wolfden (30%), and joint-venture partner Bema Gold Corporation (TSX:BGO; AMEX:BGO; AIM:BAU) as to 70%.

Prior to the 2003 summer drill program (results in Dec. 11, 2003 press release), the inferred resource at Monument Bay stood at 639,377 tonnes grading 20.4g/t Au, for a total of 418,371 ounces of gold.

NUNAVUT PROJECTS: High Lake, Ulu, Nanisivik

-------------------------------------------

The main focus in 2004 will be the High Lake region in Nunavut. Exploration and development work at the two Nunavut properties, including work on the Nanisivik Mill, is estimated at over $13 Million.

HIGH LAKE PROPERTY

------------------

More than $8 Million dollars is being budgeted for the largest exploration and development program in the history of Wolfden`s 100% owned High Lake Property. Starting in March, most of this work, including approximately 25,000 meters of drilling, will be designed to advance High Lake towards full feasibility.

Further definition and expansion drilling will be performed on the West Zone, discovered in mid-2003, which is now likely the largest of the High Lake deposits with approximate dimensions of 200 meters long by 650 meters deep by 12-15 meters average true width. The West Zone remains open at depth and to the south. Metallurgical testing of the West Zone will also be completed early in 2004.

Metallurgical drilling will be completed on the A/B Zone. Considered to be the `starter pit`at High Lake, the average grade of the A/B Zone is estimated at 4.05% Copper, 2.36% Zinc, 1.76g/t Gold and 31.73g/t Silver.

Additionally, step-out drilling will be performed on the Camp Gold Zone - discovered in 2004 with intersections up to 11.9g/t Au across 5.0 meters; regional exploration will continue to look for new deposits in the belt; and, clean-up and dismantling of the Nanisivik Mill will begin.

ULU GOLD PROPERTY

Wolfden is in the process of designing and implementing, beginning in March, a major exploration program at the Company`s 100% owned Ulu Gold Property. Estimated at between $5 and $6 Million with approximately 25,000 meters of drilling, this program will aim to expand the main `Flood Zone`at Ulu, and explore for additional gold zones on the Property.

The Ulu Property is located in the High Lake Greenstone Belt, approximately 55km south of Wolfden`s 100% owned High Lake Property. The current geological resource at Ulu is estimated at 1,368,953 tonnes grading 12.91g/t Au, containing approximately 565,000 ounces of gold between surface and the 360 meter level using a 5g/t cut-off grade and a 1.5 meter minimum mining width (Echo Bay Mines - Ulu gold project - Feasibility study update 1998) indicating 3,650 tonnes per vertical meter.

WORKING CAPITAL

Wolfden currently has a strong treasury with over $35 Million in working capital. This includes strategic shareholdings in several other companies. CANGOLD SIGNS CONSULTING AGREEMENT

Cangold has entered into a consulting agreement with AM Capital, of Vancouver, B.C., for the provision to Cangold of investor relations services including introducing Cangold, its projects and management to potential investors, advising on shareholder communications, assisting with presentations at industry meetings, conferences and trade shows, and services associated with such activities. The agreement is for an initial period of 12 months and is renewable. The agreement may be terminated after April 1, 2004, at the election of either party.

As compensation for the consulting services provided by the consultant, Cangold will pay a monthly fee of $2,000 and has granted a consultant option to purchase a total of 200,000 common shares at 28 cents per share. The option vests as to 50,000 shares immediately and 50,000 shares every three months until Oct. 14, 2004. The option expires on Dec. 31, 2005.

Cangold Fliegt Zerstreute Übersicht Am Birch See

CANGOLD BEGRENZT (Tsx-v: CLD) verkündet, daß eine Hubschrauber-getragene aeromagnetic und elektromagnetische Übersicht über die Birch See- und Goldmineeigenschaften Argosy im roten Sebergbaugebiet von nordwestlichem Ontario geflogen wird.

Die Übersicht wird durch Fugro Zerstreutes Surveys Corp. geleitet und wird 1.267 Linienkilometer die zwei Projekte in ihrer Ganzheit umfassend zur Folge haben. Die Übersicht wird mit einem 50-Meter-Zeilenabstand bei 60 Metern über Bodengleiche geflogen und hohe Auflösungsdaten sammelt.

Das Primärerforschungziel auf dem Birch Seeprojekt ist das Eisen Anordnung-bewirtete Gold, das dem an UnzeMusselwhite der Seifenerzhaube 3,3 Million Grube, ungefähr 200 Kilometer zum Norden ähnlich ist. Da Eisenanordnung in hohem Grade magnetisch ist, läßt die zerstreute Übersicht CANGOLD die verschiedenen Maßeinheiten über der Eigenschaft und dem Fokus auf Bereichen der strukturellen Kompliziertheit verfolgen, die Goldmineralisierung zugänglich sein können. Ähnlich an der nahe gelegenen Grubeneigenschaft Argosy, hilft die zerstreute Übersicht, die Struktur der zugrundeliegenden Felsen und Hilfsmittel in der Zeichnung der Erforschungziele zu deuten.

Zusätzlich werden zwei benachbarte Eigenschaften mit der Zustimmung der Inhaber geflogen und die Daten von der gesamten Übersicht werden zwischen allen Beteiligten geteilt, um ein besseres Verständnis der regionalen Tendenzen in diesem Nordteil des Birch Seeriemens zu gewinnen und die Wahrscheinlichkeit eines Erforschungerfolges zu erhöhen.

Die Birch Seeeigenschaft ist 100%, das von CANGOLD besessen wird, während das Goldmineprojekt Argosy eine 51:49 Joint Venture zwischen CANGOLD und Wolfden Resources Inc. ist (TSX: WLF; www.wolfdenresources.com), mit CANGOLD als dem Operator.

Raglan Belt. CANGOLD Limited recently funded a drill program on the Boulder Mining’s WALP Gold project located near Timmins, Ontario. The project was acquired to follow up on numerous occurrences of gold hosted in glacial sediments. The premise is that this gold was carried south by glaciers and the exploration effort is to locate the source of gold in the bedrock from which it was scraped. Program results are due in April.

Die Bohrung Argosy Schneidet Höheres GradcGold

CANGOLD BEGRENZT (Tsx-v: CLD), im Namen der Joint Ventures Argosy, freut sich, zu verkünden, daß das bohrenprogramm des Winterdiamanten am Goldmineprojekt Argosy im roten Sebergbaugebiet von nordwestlichem Ontario fortgefahren ist, Zonen der hohen Gradgoldmineralisierung zu verlängern.

Einer Gesamtmenge von 1.814,8 Metern wurde innen 9 Bohrungen gebohrt. Obgleich mehr Bohrungen geplant worden waren, hemmten niedrigere bohrenrate und schlechte Eiszustände ihre Beendigung in diesem Programm. Drei Goldzonen (# wurden 5, # 3 und P) durch vier Bohrungen an der ehemaligen Grube Argosy gezielt und fünf Bohrungen wurden in eine auriferous Zone entlang Nebenfluß Casummit, 2,5 Kilometer zum Südosten der Grube gebohrt.

An der Grube Argosy wurde Am04-01 gebohrt, um die Verlängerungen die Adern von von #5 und von von #3 zu prüfen. Die Ader #5 brachte Gold 52.73g/t über 0,3 Metern zurück. Das Primärziel der Bohrung, die Ader #3 wurde nicht erreicht, während die Bohrung durch in eine unbekannte Grube brach, die an einer downholetiefe von 90 Metern arbeitet. Jedoch wurde eine vorher unbekannte Ader in der hängenden Wand der Grubenöffnung von 75,0 bis 76,3 Meter geschnitten und Gold 9.15g/t über 1.3m zurückbrachte.

Am04-08 wurde als 20-Meter-Schritt aus Süden von Am03-01a (Au mit 9,86 g/t über 2.98m) gebohrt und wurde gebohrt, um die Verlängerung der p-Zone ungefähr 50 Meter vertikal unterhalb der ehemaligen Grubenfunktionen zu prüfen. Am04-08 schnitt zwei Zonen von veining, von Änderung und von der Mineralisierung (einschließlich sichtbares Gold) zuzuschreibend der p-Zone. Der obere Durchschnitt von 320,75 bis 322,4 Meter (m) 1,65 prüfte Gold 14.2g/t. Der unterere Durchschnitt, von 330,3 bis 334,25 Meter (3,95 m), prüften Gold 1.73g/t.

Als Ader treten die Zonen an der Grube Argosy als en-Staffelungsstrukturen auf, wurde Bohrung Am04-07 75 Meter Süden von Bohrungen Am03-1a und 02 zum Prüfen auf Erweiterungen des p-Zonensystems gebohrt. Die Bohrung schnitt, was gedeutet wird, während eine neue Ader auf der p-Zonenstruktur von 267,5 bis 268,0 Meter unten durchlöchern, die Gold 3.66g/t prüften. Dieses ist die erste Anzeige, die Goldmineralisierung zum Süden über dem Umfang einer alten Grubenfunktionen hinaus fortsetzt und ist eine wichtige Entwicklung in der Suche nach neuen Zonen an der Grube. Die Grube Argosy schloß 1952, nachdem sie 101.875 Unzen Gold aus 276.573 Tonnen Erz an einem durchschnittlichen Grad des Goldes 0.37opt (12.7g/t) produziert hatte und wurde nur zu einer Tiefe von 270 Metern gewonnen.

Durchlöchert Am04-02 zu einschließlichem Am04-06, wurde innen dem Nebenflußbereich Casummit, ungefähr 2,5 Kilometern Südosten der Grube Argosy, um eine starke verursachte Polarisationchargeabilityabweichung und einen Durchschnitt in einer Bohrung mit 1989 Bohrgeräten (Cc-2) zu prüfen von Goldfields gebohrt, der das Au 4.82g/t über 7.7m (einschließlich 9.4g/t über 2.5m) im halben Kern Re-geprüft von Cangold im Oktober, 2003 zurückbrachte.

Die fünf 2004 Bohrungen wurden über eine 100-Meter-Schlaglänge gebohrt, um zu ermitteln die Haltung der mineralisierten Zonen, in, was geglaubt wird, um der sofortige Bereich von Cc-2 zu sein, obgleich die genaue Position dieser Bohrung nicht bekannt. Zahlreiche Durchschnitte der Änderung und veining wurden über bedeutenden Breiten und während Goldgrade niedriger als in der Bohrung Goldfields waren-, einer erheblichen Zone von Goldmineralisierung verwirklicht angetroffen. Wenn die höheren Grade durch die alte Bohrung und die Mineralisierung angezeigt sind, die in allen Richtungen geöffnet sind, gibt es Raum, auf diese neue Zone mit der anhaltenden Bohrung zu erweitern.

Der Nebenfluß Casummit, den auriferous Zonen durch Quarzankeriteadern innen gekennzeichnet werden, silicified, sericitized Zwischentuffs, argillite und mafic tuffs. Die Mineralisierung, die mit veining und geänderten dem Wirtsfelsen dazugehörig ist, besteht aus verbrittenem arsenopyrite, Pyrrhotite und Pyrit mit Spuren von Chalcopyrite und von Sphalerite. Der tuffsschlagwesterly mit northerly zu durchtränkendem gemäßigtem taucht ein. Die verursachte Polarisationabweichung scheint, mit Pyrrhotite und Magnetit in einem starken Abschnitt des Meters 20-30 von argillite und von mit einem Band versehener Eisenanordnung zusammenzuhängen, die leider die Sulfide in den auriferous Zonen verdeckt.

Das Prüfen für das Programm mit 2004 Bohrgeräten wurde auf gesägte halbe Kernabschnitte der NQ-Größe von Accurassay Labs der Donnerbucht, Ontario mit metallischer Schirmfeuerprobe (für Proben mit sichtbarem Gold) und 30-Gramm-Feuerprobierverfahren geleitet. Standards und freie Räume wurden in jeder Beispielreihe umfaßt. Programmplanung und -deutung werden von Robert A. Archer, P.Geo zur Verfügung gestellt. Arbeit wurde von Stewart Harris, P. Geo. und Bäcker Darcy, Ph. D überwacht. Herr Archer und Herr Harris sind qualifizierte Personen, wie in nationalem Instrument 43-101 definiert. 2004 : Rimfire Minerals Corporation und BEGRENZTES CANGOLD freuen sich, zu verkünden, daß praktische Arbeit an der Dorneneigenschaft in der gewinnenabteilung Atlin von britischer Nordwestkolumbien begonnen hat. Die Sommererforschung besteht aus einem kompletten Programm der Geophysik und der Diamantbohrung, die auf die Zeichnung von Silber-Gold mineralisierung in den Breccia Oban und hochwertigen in die Gold-Silber-Kupferadern innerhalb des strukturellen Flures 1,5-Kilometer- des langen Lagernebenflusses gerichtet werden.

Mannschaften sind zum Aufstellungsort mobilisiert worden, um eine verursachte Polarisationübersicht anzufangen, die die Begrenzungen auf den Breccia Oban und die Mineralisierung definierend enthalten wird innerhalb sie, sowie das Suchen nach den neuen Brecciarohren angestrebt wird, die, unter überlast begraben werden. Diese erste Phase schließt den Diamanten mit ein, der auf den Breccia Oban bohrt und folgt oben auf die 60 Meter breite Zone von Silber-Goldmineralisierung geschnitten bei der Bohrung im Oktober 2003. Fünf Bohrungen wurden auf diese neue Entdeckung gebohrt, die in allen Richtungen geöffnet bleibt. Das Mineralisierungzutageliegen und verlängert auf eine vertikale Tiefe von mindestens 125 Metern und stellt ein bedeutendes Hauptteil-Tonnageziel dar. Gold- und Silbergrade waren- in den 2003 Bohrgerätresultaten sehr gleichbleibend, aber bis jetzt haben nicht die außergewöhnlichen silbernen Grade umfaßt, die von den Proben der Hin- und Herbewegung (6,149g/t) zurückgebracht wurden und des Zutageliegens (1,983g/t) und vorschlugen, daß neue Zonen der hohen Gradmineralisierung, haben schon entdeckt zu werden.

Später am Sommer, prüft die Bohrung auch den Durchgang der Sulfid-Adersysteme des hohen Grades massiven, die zuerst 2002 gebohrt wurden. Da Kernwiederaufnahme ein Problem dadurch war, daß Programm, ein Bohrgerät des größeren Durchmessers dieses Jahr zum Erreichen der kompletteren Proben und der besseren Graddarstellung verwendet wird. Der beste Durchschnitt von 2002 bohrend betrug 1,65 Meter AG 454 g/t (13,3 oz/ton), Au mit 3,05 g/t und Cu 3,65% in der Ader Tamdhu.

IP Survey Enhances Oban Zone & Outlines Additional Targets At Thorn

Vancouver, BC ? June 29, 2004:  Rimfire Minerals Corporation and CANGOLD LIMITED are pleased to announce that an Induced Polarization (IP) geophysical survey at the Thorn Property has delineated the Oban Zone and revealed new targets on the Oban and South grids. The Thorn Property is located in the Atlin Mining Division of northwest British Columbia and hosts an extensive system of silver-gold-copper-lead-zinc mineralization. 

?The size and intensity of the anomalies defined to date has led us to revise the strategy for follow-up diamond drilling?, said David Caulfield, P. Geo., President of Rimfire. ?The IP survey has been very successful in defining the Oban Zone and its apparent extension, leading us to consider deeper and more widely spaced diamond drill holes within the Oban Breccia. Due to the success of the survey in defining new targets, the IP program has been expanded and drilling delayed until additional surveying has been completed. Unfortunately, fieldwork has been temporarily suspended due to a forest fire on the property. Surveying will resume once crews can safely return to site and drilling is now expected to start in late summer.

Mr. Bob Archer, P.Geo., President of Cangold Limited stated: With the excellent correlation between the IP and known mineralization, we have not only defined and enlarged the existing target at the Oban Breccia, but we have increased our confidence in testing new anomalies. This provides us with an excellent tool to find new mineralization in covered areas where we have little or no geological or geochemical data.

Technical Data

The IP survey was initiated over the Oban Breccia, at the east end of the 1.5 kilometre long Camp Creek Structural Corridor. Drilling at the end of 2003 resulted in the discovery of a 40-60 metre wide zone of silver-gold mineralization within the Oban Breccia typified by Hole THN03-21 which intersected 40.7 m of 118.8 g/t silver and 0.83 g/t gold; this larger zone in THN03-21 is cored by 25.2 m of 173.0 g/t silver, 1.20 g/t gold, 1.5 % lead and 1.5 % zinc. The IP at the Oban has delineated a well-defined, strong chargeability high (20-47 mV/V) and resistivity low (<300 ohm-m) directly over known mineralization and shows it to continue along strike for at least 300 metres under cover and to depth. A similar anomaly remains open at the edge of the grid, approximately 150 metres to the southeast. This anomaly is interpreted to be a faulted extension of the Oban Zone. Exploration focused on the Oban Zone in 2003 after the discovery of high grade mineralization including 6,149 g/t silver in float and 1,983 g/t silver in outcrop the previous year. Drilling has yet to intersect mineralization of this tenor, but the apparent extension of the Oban Zone as identified in the IP survey outlines a large target area for drill testing.

Immediately to the southwest, on the ?South Grid?, a strong chargeability high 200-400m wide and at least 600m long has been detected in an area with no outcrop. At its peak, this anomaly exhibits chargeability values of the same order of magnitude (values up to 52 mV/V) as those at the Oban Zone, suggesting the presence of strong sulphide mineralization. Just to the north, a more discrete chargeability high/resistivity low lines up with the strike projection of surface mineralization at the B Zone. This zone is characterized by quartz breccia with up to 15% combined pyrite, enargite and tetrahedrite, and can be traced for 300 metres along strike in float and outcrop. A float sample of this material returned 21.5 g/t gold, 2,990 g/t silver and 14.2% copper. Previous drilling at the B Zone has returned 3.6 g/t gold and 44 g/t silver across 5.5 metres.

Rimfire and Cangold are in the final year of a three-year option agreement whereby Cangold can earn a 51% interest in the Thorn by conducting a total of $1.2 million in exploration over the period and by making staged cash and share payments.
