Establishes New Factory Dedicated Exclusively to OEM Light Fixture Manufacturing for OSRAM
HONG KONG, Jan. 2, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Highway Holdings Limited(NASDAQ-SMALL:HIHO) (Nasdaq:HIHO) today announced it has received an initial original equipment manufacturing order from OSRAM GmbH, a subsidiary of Siemens AG(NYSE:SI) (NYSE:SI), valued at approximately $3.7 million. The company said this initial contract represents an entirely new business line and the beginning of a long-term commitment to produce finished products in an original equipment manufacturing capacity.
Production by Highway Holdings of the lighting fixtures under this agreement is expected to commence in March/April 2004. The agreement`s initial term expires at the end of 2004, but will automatically be extended thereafter for successive one-year periods subject to annual pricing adjustments. Additional terms were not disclosed.
Highway Holdings said it will establish a new 50,000-square foot factory at its existing facility dedicated exclusively to original equipment manufacturing of light fixtures for OSRAM. It has budgeted $500,000 for factory set-up costs, including the purchase of machinery and other necessary equipment for the new operation, which will have an initial annual production capacity, if fully utilized, for approximately $12 million of business volume.
"The awarding of this OEM contract offers Highway Holdings an opportunity for significant revenue and earnings growth in an entirely new business segment. Our relationship with OSRAM and its subsidiaries over the past ten years has been mutually beneficial, with Highway Holdings supplying metal casings for electronic ballasts and various other components. This was an important factor in being selected by OSRAM for the light fixture manufacturing venture. We believe this OEM contract is a significant milestone in the company`s development and future growth potential," said Roland Kohl, chairman and chief executive officer.

So und deshalb hat sich der "liebe DmComeBack" schon vor einigen Tagen einge von den Teilchen gekauft. Leider auch nicht so billig, wie manche jetz evtl. denken. Hatte sogar bei 6,60 in den USA noch einmal nachgekauft.
Klar werden jetzt einige Leute sagen, "PUSH" usw. Ist mir aber schnube. Jeder soll sich seine eigene Meinung bilden. Für mich ist der Laden nach wie vor ein Kauf.
Deshalb hier noch einmal de Hinweis - jeder soll bitte selbst entscheinden was er will. Ich will hier keinen "PUSH".
Aber wenn es so läuft wie bei Elexis - über 200% in .. , dann seht unter Elexis nach.
Deshalb nur sollten nur Leute kaufen, die mind. 95 Jahre alt sind.
(Ihr wollt wahrscheinlich wissen warum - - man ist doch klar -dann gibts nich so viele Beschwerden) (Grins)

Wer wirklich kaufen will, der sollte in den USA - aber auch hier nur mit Limit kaufen.
Unsere "Berliner Freunde" ziehen euch sonst nämlich über den Tisch.
Hier kann jeder das US-Kürzel (HIHO) eingeben.

Ich bin öfter über 4 Wochen weg - dann gibts kein "Urteil" von mir. Seht die Vergangenheit nach (FMDAY, PARS, Elexis, und einige ander. MLL war nicht so gut - bin aber noch dabei. Eine Aktie, die ähnlich wie Elexis (nur mit einen Bruchteil ihres Umsatzes bewertet wird - die verkaufe ich nicht einfach, weil "Hinz und Kunz" das sagen. Den entweder ich kann auch 1plus1 zählen, oder ich lasse es.
Dann würde es in Zukunft aber nur noch

ich fahr ja schon im 5.gang in die kurve, aber hiho eine nummer zu gross für mich. mit dieser aktie kannst du alle preise gewinnen oder im graben landen.
ich war einmal investiert und habe das mitgemacht.
als spielgeld, aber nur dann, ist die aktie geeignet.
