Forum Provides Operational Update and Reports on Other Corporate Developments
Thursday November 27, 10:25 am ET

CALGARY, Alberta, Nov. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- FORUM ENERGY CORPORATION (OTC Bulletin Board: FRUEF; Berlin and Frankfurt: FE8) announced today that Forum-3X has now been drilled to its total depth of 1840FT. Oil and gas shows were indicated at several intervals during the drilling of the well. Logging is now being conducted prior to well casing and testing.
FORUM EXPLORATION PRESS RELEASE, NOVEMBER 27th, 2003.

The following was released today at 1800hrs Manila Time by Mr. Peter S. Salud, President and CEO of Forum Exploration Inc.

" The drilling of Forum-3X was completed yesterday to a depth of 1840ft. During the drilling there were shows indicating the presence of oil and gas. The well is currently being logged prior to casing and testing of the prospective hydrocarbon zones. Further information will be released once made available by the Philippine Department of Energy"

COMMENT FROM LARRY W. YOUELL, PRESIDENT & CEO

" The initial results from Forum-3X are encouraging and in line with our expectations. The logging of Forum-3X will enable us to determine whether the hydrocarbon zones encountered, form part of the same reservoir as discovered in our two previous well`s Forum 1X/A and 2X. During open hole testing last month Forum-2X flowed 217,000 standard cubic feet of gas per day through a half-inch choke"

" Once the logging of Forum-3X is completed we will be able to provide a revised estimate on the overall potential reserves of the recently discovered Maya field, which prior to the drilling of Forum-3X, were estimated at 3.86 million barrels of oil and 14 billion cubic feet of gas, with upside potential for addition to reserves as we conduct further exploration of the area"

      OTHER CORPORATE DEVELOPMENTS

Forum also reports that it is in discussions with certain investors to complete a possible private placement of units and convertible notes, for gross proceeds of up to US$2.7 million. The private placement will likely consist of up to 8 million units at US$0.25, with each unit consisting of 1 share and 1 two-year share-purchase warrant, as well as up to US$700,000 of 5-year 8% convertible notes convertible into Forum shares at US$0.26 per share. The proceeds will be used for further working capital and for the development of the Maya Gas Field. Further details of this potential private placement will be released as soon as possible.

On behalf of the Board of,
      FORUM ENERGY CORPORATION
      " Larry Youell"
      Larry Youell
      President and CEO

In Ruhe lesen und sich ein paar ins Depot legen und sich in ein paar Wochen drüber freuen. WQenn ne Nachricht kommt ists zu spät, da sehr markteng:D

Forum Energy is an independent energy company listed on the NASDAQ bulletin board and the Frankfurt and Berlin Stock Exchanges. The company owns 66.66% of Forum Exploration Inc., a privately-held Philippine based energy company with a 100% sole participation in two blocks known as Service Contract 40 and Service Contract 43.

SC40 covers the Northern half of Cebu Island, and a large section of the Visayan Sea, whilst the SC43 contract is a 480,000 hectare block covering the whole of Manila Bay, plus an additional area of land in a strip extending northwards from the Bay and beyond to the Lincayen Gulf.

The Company has an executive and management team with extensive experience in oil and gas operations. Supported by a strong European investor base, the Company has an aggressive plan to secure additional financing during 2003/2004 for the development of the company`s petroleum assets. Financing for the company`s initial onshore drilling program to further assess the reserves of the Central Maya Anticline has been secured through the Company’s recent US$2.153 million private placement.

The company`s five year plan is a multi-phased joint exploration and development program commencing first with the development of the onshore reserves of the Central Maya Bulge (CMB) through the ongoing onshore drilling program (utilizing Forum`s wholly owned Hycalog HH3500 drilling rig) which is currently on target for completion by the end of 2003.

To date the company has met its Department of Energy (DOE) commitments through the drilling of two wells Forum-1X and Forum- 2X. The company has already began the drilling of it`s third well - Forum-3X and further reservoir appraisal will be conducted upon completion, expected before the end of November. Through the CMB drilling program, the company aims to generate sufficient revenue to attain positive cash flow during the next 12 months. Reserves being targeted in the onshore Cebu drilling program are around 4 million barrels of oil and 14 BCF of gas.

The total depth of Forum`s CMB wells range between 1750 and 2000ft. Forum-1X and 2X have both encountered around 50ft of gas bearing sandstones at around 1570 feet and over 35ft of multiple oil bearing limestone and sandstone zones. Forum-2X flowed 217,000 cubic feet of gas per day during production testing which commenced on the 19th October, 2003.

      Development Plans

Plans for the development of the nearby 1BCF – 2BCF Libertad Gas Field (Onshore SC40) are currently being finalized and it is likely this area will be put into production in parallel with the CMB field. Libertad was discovered at shallow depths, and a further exploration programme will be conducted in 2004 to assess the potential sub 1000ft zones which are expected to contain further significant hydrocarbon zones.

Whilst in the near term, the primary objective of the company is to secure production from existing discoveries; the development of the company`s larger assets remains a focal point for the next 2 – 5 years. The reprocessing of existing seismic for Manila Bay (SC43) and the Central Tanon Straits (SC40) prospects, is set to commence early next year along with the shooting of new high resolution 2-D seismic.

The new seismic acquisitions and re-assessment of existing data will enable the company to further asses the potential reserves of around 600 BCF gas and 2TCF /700mmbls gas/oil estimated to be held within the Manila Bay and Tanon Straits prospects respectively. PGS Reservoir consultants have assigned an upside NPV figure to the current assets of Forum of US$500m. These figures however, do not take into account a significant prospect in Manila Bay (prospect "B"), nor the CMB gas field in Cebu. PGS is currently conducting a revision of the company`s petroleum assets` Net Present Value. A revised NPV is expected to be compiled shortly, following the results of the Maya Field production testing, expected to be completed in November, 2003.

      The Industry in the Philippines

Both of Forum`s contracts were issued prior to the PCR-1 and title rests 100% with Forum Exploration. Furthermore the contracts are considered geologically to be amongst the most prospective throughout the whole of the Philippine Islands. Forum`s executives maintain close relationships with the DOE and at present Forum are the only company conducting an active exploration and drilling program Furthermore, the terms of the contracts are extremely favourable: 40% of proceeds from production will go directly back to Forum, tax inclusive. Furthermore Forum anticipates to recover over US$20,000,000 of previously agreed past costs with the DOE, commencing when the first three wells – Forum 1-X, 2-X and 3-X - enter into Extended Production Testing later on this year. Forum Exploration also has exclusive rights to all data in areas in the Philippines not presently covered by the Governments SC areas, inclusive of the information on the recently tendered blocks.
