Sieht alles sehr interessant aus !
Sind Marktführer in den USA bei Wireless Lan Produkten
einem wohl sehr rapide wachsendem Markt weltweit.
Wie "In" Wireless im Moment ist sieht man ja an Palm.
Erwirtschaften auch schon echte Gewinne und die Marketcap von knapp
2 MRD USD scheint mir für den Marktführer noch recht moderat.

Die MKP beträgt ja nur :-) 1,7 Mrd. $. Proxim ist zwar schon ganz
gut gelaufen, aber ich glaube auch, daß da noch mehr kommt.
Jedenfalls sind die auch hier in Deutschland recht aktiv und
ich kenne einige Leute, die ganz begeistert von ihrer Technik
sind.
Vielleicht stieg ich morgen ein!

Du bis nicht bei Proxim alleiniger Investor. Ich bin auf Proxim in Börse-Online 14/2000 mit einem Kurs von 148 am 24.3.00 aufmerksam geworden. Da ich von der Technik des Branchenprimus überzeugt bin und der Kurs inzwischen auf 90 gefallen war, habe ich mir ein paar Stücke ins Depot gelegt. Der weitere Kursverfall auf ca. 75 hat mich schon beunruhigt. Bei Sixer.com haben mich folgende Infos jedoch wieder beruhigt:

Proxim, Inc. Reports First Quarter 2000 Results
SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 18, 2000--Proxim, Inc. (Nasdaq:PROX - news) announced today its financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2000. Revenue for the first quarter of 2000 was $20,051,000 compared to revenue of $15,119,000 for the first quarter of 1999.
During the first quarter of 2000, the company acquired Micrilor, Inc., in a transaction which was accounted for as a pooling of interests, and all historical financial information contained herein has been revised to reflect the acquisition. The results for the first quarter of 2000 include $217,000 of acquisition costs. Micrilor operations generated no revenue or cost of revenue in the first quarter of 2000, and the operating expenses are included in research and development expense. The results for the first quarter of 1999 have been revised to include $369,000 of revenue, $230,000 of cost of revenue, and $124,000 of research and development expenses from Micrilor. During the first quarter of 1999, the company took a $1,100,000 charge related to a minority investment in a startup company developing ultra-broadband wireless products.
Excluding the acquisition costs and the amortization of intangible assets and goodwill in the first quarter of 2000, and the charge in the first quarter of 1999, pro forma net income for the first quarter of 2000 was $2,708,000, or $.19 per share (diluted), compared to pro forma net income of $1,854,000, or $.15 per share (diluted), for the first quarter of 1999.
Including the acquisition costs and the amortization of intangible assets and goodwill in the first quarter of 2000, and the charge in the first quarter of 1999, net income for the first quarter of 2000 was $2,098,000, or $.14 per share (diluted), compared to net income of $754,000, or $.06 per share (diluted), for the first quarter of 1999. The effective income tax rate, excluding nondeductible charges, is 35% in 2000 and 1999.

During the first quarter of 2000, the company acquired Micrilor, Inc., in a transaction which was accounted for as a pooling of interests, and all historical financial information contained herein has been revised to reflect the acquisition. The results for the first quarter of 2000 include $217,000 of acquisition costs. Kurse sind auf N-TV leider nicht abzufragen.
die Konsolidierung dürfte nun bald abgeschlossen sein und die 2 EUR Marke bald erstürmt werden.
Die Story ist sehr gut Wireless-Fidelity ein absoluter Markt mit Zukunft.
