New Senior Management Appointments Support PacNet`s Continued Growth

SINGAPORE, May 4 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Asia`s largest telco- independent Internet Communications Service Provider by geographic reach, Pacific Internet or PacNet (Nasdaq: PCNTF) named three new senior management appointments - Stephen Do, Kevin Lim and Johnny Quah - to further strengthen its corporate and consumer businesses, as well as reinforce existing business systems to create a seamless regional operation.

Mr. Stephen Do, a Vietnamese American with about 20 years of international carrier and voice experience, will lead PacNet`s corporate business and technology functions, including voice, a key initiative for the company this year. He will spearhead the company`s international partnership thrust, primarily in global carrier relationships and explore new growth markets across the Asia Pacific region. Mr. Do will also oversee PacNet`s Malaysian operations. A 10-year veteran at Bell Labs and AT&T(NYSE:T) International in the US, Mr. Do worked extensively in Asia with Tyco(NYSE:TYC) Submarine Systems; Asia Global Crossing, the predecessor to Asia Netcom; and C2C, a subsidiary of Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel).

Mr. Kevin Lim, currently head of Group Marketing, will drive the continued growth of the company`s consumer business. He will also head the group`s customer service function. Mr. Lim has 20 years of international experience, starting his career in New York and has worked in Europe and Asia. Prior to joining PacNet in 2002, he was worldwide divisional General Manager at Lernout & Hauspie and Director of Marketing for the ASEAN/South Asia organization in IBM. He also has extensive experience in consumer marketing with Apple Computer, Heineken and Pepsi, among others.

Mr Johnny Quah, a certified public accountant with over 20 years international experience, will work with PacNet`s internal auditor, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), to ensure that the company maintains the highest standard of corporate governance and adapts to new regulatory requirements such as Sarbanes-Oxley. As part of this role, he will also oversee the company`s information technology (IT) and regulatory functions. Mr. Quah previously led the finance and IT functions at TCC Non Industrial Group in Thailand, where he also headed its technology services subsidiary as Managing Director. He was formerly Finance Director for the London Forfaiting`s Asian operations and also held various management positions with the General Electric (GE) group of companies in Asia Pacific.

Mr. Quah`s appointment reflects PacNet`s continued focus on good corporate governance in parallel with business growth. He will work with Mr. Tay Kuan Ming, Senior Vice President for Group Finance, to strengthen the company`s corporate finance and internal audit efforts. Mr. Tay retains chief responsibility for PacNet`s overall corporate finance and legal functions.

``The new appointments reflect PacNet`s continued commitment to providing the most qualified executive leadership to grow our business, with the corporate business segment as majority. We will maintain a distinctively different go-to-market strategy on a common regional infrastructure for both the corporate and consumer businesses. At the same time, we intend to create synergies between the two business groups to benefit our customers and partners globally, with our country heads providing the local touches for the domestic environments.``
