Meanwhile, the company is also proposed to issue not less than 1.455 billion shares and not more than HK$1.98 billion at a subscription price of HK5 cents per share. The company will offer for subscription two offer shares for every five existing shares. An aggregate net amount of about HK$99 million was raised from the aforesaid fund raising transactions of the company. According to the Stock Exchange, Zhao Guo Heng reported holdings of $639 million in Ecopro Hi-Tech.

As this represents over 10 pct, it has become the company`s single major shareholder.

Ecopro Hi-tech (0397-HK) annual loss reduced

Ecopro Hi-tech announced a loss of $49.28 million for the year ended March 31.

The loss had narrowed from last year`s $75.79 million.

Turnover dropped to $5.63 million from $66.64 million last year.

Loss per share was 3.5 cents. No final dividends.
