ich könnte mir vorstellen das der hohe Ölpreis Arbeitsplätze schafft. On nun durch Kohleverflüssigung,
Solarenegie, Atomkraft oder Windenergie.
Überall in diesen Alternativtechnologienist Deutschland spitze.

Jetzt ist es wohl durch : 2 Mio. Barrel zusätzlich, plus später weitere 0,5 Mio. Barrel

OPEC Says
FWN Select - Tuesday, July 20, 2004
The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries Monday attempted to assuage doubts over its usable spare capacity by insisting there would be a "sufficient buffer" in 2005 to ease prices, while making hefty upward revisions to its near-term demand forecast.
In its monthly oil market report, the producer group said total production capacity for the OPEC-10, excluding Iraq, would climb next year by some 1 million barrels a day, to almost 30 million b/d, led by expansion in Saudi Arabia, Iran and Nigeria.
This, it explained, would give it spare capacity that ranges between 2.8 million b/d and 3.5 million b/d, based on rising oil stocks, a projected slowdown in demand growth, and members` capacity increases.
Some analysts blame high oil futures prices on concerns that OPEC doesn`t have enough usable spare capacity to meet unexpected events such as strikes, terrorist attacks or political instability in oil-producing nations.
In the report, OPEC also revised up its estimates for the need for its members` oil, led by a large 490,000 barrels-a-day increase in its October-December forecast, to 28.17 million b/d.
It also lifted its prediction for world oil consumption this year, by 320,000 b/d against last month`s estimate, to almost 81 million b/d.
For the first time, OPEC issued its forecast for world demand next year, pegging it 1.66 million b/d higher compared with its current 2004 estimate at 82.56 million b/d.
