"Gegenwärtig gibt es 2,8 Mio Barrel pro Tag mehr Rohöl, als Nachfrage besteht", wurde Ardebili auf der Internet-Seite des iranischen Ölministeriums zitiert.
"Es gibt keinen Grund für die Opec-Mitglieder, die Ölproduktion zu erhöhen."

Das wird lustig, wenn das spekulative Kapital...
wieder raus will.

Iran’s Average Crude Price Stands At $36-37: Official
Tehran Times Energy Desk
TEHRAN (MNA) –- Head of International Affairs of the state-owned National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), Hojjatollah Ghanimi Fard said here Saturday that Iran’s crude oil is currently sold at the average price of 36-37 dollars per barrel.
Iran’s daily crude production stands at 3.8 million barrels, Ghanimi Fard said, adding that Iran has increased its production capacity according to OPEC’s recent quota.
Iran can still add 500,000 barrel per day (bpd) of crude oil to its current OPEC quota.

With oil prices hitting unprecedented highs, and the latest bullish news from the Middle East, oil analysts now expect prices to soon strike $47 a barrel and head for $50.
US benchmark crude prices soared to yet another record of $46.65 a barrel on Friday following news of a blast at the Whiting, Indiana refinery, and fears about possible unrest in OPEC producer Venezuela during this weekend`s referendum on the rule of President Hugo Chavez.
News that Iraq has stopped oil exports from the key southern pipeline came as Iran said global markets were oversupplied by 2.8 million bpd of crude and that there was no reason for OPEC to raise production to cool down sizzling oil prices....

Oil, setting yet another high, surges above $46 a barrel
PARIS Over the past six years, the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries has shown remarkable discipline, seldom seen during the group`s 44-year history, by maintaining oil prices above $22 a barrel.
.
That has usually meant restraining production and managing supplies to prop up prices, which had fallen to around $9 a barrel in 1998. But OPEC`s policy is in disarray today as the cartel`s members, 11 countries from Saudi Arabia to Venezuela that supply a third of the world`s oil, seem unable to stick to the other side of their self-imposed bargain - keeping the OPEC benchmark oil price under $28 a barrel.
.
Late Friday, oil for September delivery was trading in New York at $46.15 a barrel, a rise of 65 cents and the first time the $46-level had been passed since oil futures began trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange in 1983.
.
It seems there is not much even OPEC`s largest producer, Saudi Arabia, can do. Traders shrugged off an attempt on Wednesday by the Saudi oil minister to calm the market with a promise that the country could pump an additional 1.3 million barrels daily if needed.
.
"Everyone knows OPEC has reached full capacity," said Thomas Bentz, senior oil analyst with BNP Paribas in New York.
.
After the war ended in Iraq, OPEC ministers were fearful that a rapid return of Iraqi oil to the market would translate in lower prices. That was before the looting, sabotage and finally insurrection against the U.S.-led occupation shut off Iraq`s export route through Turkey and hampered the rehabilitation of the country`s oil industry.
.
In the wake of the war in Iraq, the last thing OPEC wanted to do was put too much oil on the market. OPEC ministers remembered the last time that happened, in November 1997, when they decided to increase their production ceiling by 10 percent at a meeting in Jakarta.
.
The decision was particularly mistimed, as Asia entered an economic crisis and Iraqi oil returned to the market under a new United Nations program. In December 1998, OPEC`s benchmark crude price touched $9.13, its lowest price since 1986.
.
So, instead of increasing output, OPEC has actually cut its overall production ceiling three times since the war ended last year. All told, the cartel decided to take 3.9 million barrels a day off the market. It was only this June that OPEC finally decided to raise output. The organization is next schedule to meet Sept. 15, in Vienna.
.
"OPEC`s been worried about a repeat of Jakarta. It wants to be more conservative and cautious rather than put too much oil on the market," said Jay Saunders, an analyst with Deutsche Bank in New York. "They messed up."
.
To be sure, OPEC alone is not to blame for high prices. Many of the world`s top producing regions have been through tough times. That has meant less oil and higher prices.
.
The war in Iraq brought that country`s oil industry to a halt, and both the U.S.-led occupation authorities and the Iraqi interim administration have found it impossible to bring back production to its prewar levels.
.
In Venezuela, which supplies about 4 percent of the world`s oil, opponents to President Hugo Chávez sparked a nationwide strike that led to a near shutdown of the country`s oil production in December 2002. Since then, Venezuela`s production has not returned to its pre-strike peak of three million barrels a day, though Chávez has embarked on an ambitious plan to create a transnational oil company for all of South America. (Page 13)
.
Violence and ethnic strife have also hurt Africa`s biggest producer, Nigeria.
.
And in Russia, the Yukos affair is threatening to disrupt output.
.
One factor that has surprised both OPEC forecasters and oil analysts has been very strong demand, especially from China. Global demand grew 2.2 percent last year and is set to grow 3.2 percent this year, according to the International Energy Agency. Another reason is that most OPEC producers are producing all the oil they can.
.
OPEC`s clout has been overestimated in the past year, said Valerie Marcel, an energy expert at the London-based research group Chatham House. "OPEC`s market share has been steadily declining over the past two decades and, with both Iraq and Venezuela down in the same quarter last year, OPEC`s ability to bring more oil on the market has been hurt like never before," she said.
