(FDEI) , an oil and gas company dedicated to developing North America`s energy resources, today announced that the additional acreage announced in the previous news release on Aug 16th, has been added to the Area of Mutual Interest (A.M.I.) at their North Franklin project. The Company has paid in full the cost of the additional acreage that covers approximately 400 acres. With the additional land added to the project there are approximately 1,800 acres now currently under lease.
The new leases cover the pipeline route and more importantly, expands coverage of the underlying Winters` formation, adding to the potential reserves of the North Franklin gas reservoir. Fidelis Energy has paid the pro-rata 35% working interest share of these additional leases.
The North Franklin Project and the underlying newly discovered Winters gas reservoir contains the "Archer-Whitney #1 well." Once connected to the pipeline, Fidelis Energy will be a commercial gas producer, and will be in a positive cash flow situation. A contract with one of California`s natural gas purchasers and pipeline companies has been put in place and pipeline construction is expected to commence shortly.

Fidelis Completes First Stage of Production at Comanche Point
TUCSON, Ariz. - PRNewswire-FirstCall - Sept. 14
TUCSON, Ariz., Sept. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Fidelis Energy, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: FDEI) , an oil and gas company dedicated to developing North America`s energy resources, today reported on their Comanche heavy oil project. The initial `steam flood` of the first well has been completed. The well will now be put `on pump` to evaluate the flow rates and to further determine the success of increased flow.
The Company anticipates a significant increase to the production at Comanche. Currently the field is producing 12 - 15 barrels per day, with expectations that production on this initial well will increase to between 50 - 70 barrels per day. This is only the first of 19 wells on the property. In addition, numerous infill wells can be drilled on the property at low cost as a result of shallow depths.
Other oil and gas operators near Comanche Point have achieved success extracting oil from similar sands using various steam methods. Recent third-party engineering studies of the sub-surface oil sands underlying the lease have estimated total reserves at over 5,000,000 barrels of heavy crude oil at depths ranging from 400 to 700 feet below the surface in Etchegoin Sands.
Company spokesperson Mr. Dan Hodges stated, "This steam-flood program should drastically increase daily production rates on the property. This heavy oil, known as `Kern County Crude` produced at Comanche Point, has been selling over the summer at near record prices of close to $34 per barrel." Following full payback of the Company`s investment, Fidelis Energy will maintain a 70% working interest in the Comanche Point Property, located in Kern County, California.

Fidelis Energy Natural Gas Pipeline Construction Underway

TUCSON, Ariz., Sept. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Fidelis Energy, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: FDEI - News), an oil and gas company dedicated to developing North America`s energy resources, today announces that the natural gas pipeline construction, survey and ultimately the tie-in of the Archer-Whitney #1 gas well at the North Franklin Project has begun.
With the route survey and site facilities set, the laying of the pipe will now begin. The Company expects the physical excavation of the pipeline route and installation of the pipeline to take approximately 2 weeks. Following construction, the Archer-Whiney #1 well will be tied in and production will commence.
The gas reservoir at North Franklin is the Winters Formation. Once tie-in of the well is finished, Fidelis Energy will be cash flow positive and will become a commercial California gas producer. With the initial absolute open flow rate testing at 12 Million cubic feet of gas per day, the I.P.R.`s (initial production rates) from the first well is expected to reach or exceed 5,000 mcf per day.
5,000 mcf per day at $6.00 per mcf (based on PG&E-Citygate averages) will generate $11 million per year, per each well drilled on the property. The Company and its partners are currently planning several additional wells to exploit the new gas reservoir discovery.
A contract with one of California`s natural gas purchasers is in place for gas sales. The current gas price from PG&E-Citygate is $5.24. Gas pricing is generally low during the summer months and is expected to rise during the fall and winter. Winter prices for 2003/2004 exceeded $8.00 per mcf.
