While broadcasting moves to deliver digital in the future, MB Technology, Inc. (OTCBB: MBTT) is already cashing in, having booked a $6 million dollar order for its new proprietary Flat Antenna system from Eastech, a leading distributor of satellite electronics and components to the commercial and consumer electronics markets in Japan.
MB Technologies, Inc., a Korean electronic component manufacturer, entered the North American market through a public company merger in June 2003 and hit the ground running ever since.
The primary product MB Tech produces is ``LNB`` electronic diodes, which are the essential element enabling DBS satellites to receive and convert satellite transmission signals. Shortly after completing its public company merger MBTT announced a contract for $1,640,000 dollars from a European buyer for its single and universal type LNB`s. MBTT is to deliver 70,000 units of each type under the agreement announced June 24th.
Since June the satellite component manufacturer has completed the development of its flat panel antenna for wireless satellite applications, which prompted the order from Japan`s Eastech.
Today marked another milestone for MB Tech when the company announced that it has completed production prototypes for specific global DBS service providers designed around the Company`s model MFDA-350 Auto Positioning Flat Antenna.
The new models were developed specifically for major service providers in North America and Europe, including DirecTV, Astra, Bell and Sky, according to MB Tech`s announcement.
Communications equipment companies like APT Satellite Holdings Ltd (NYSE: ATS), Gilat Satellite Networks LTD (NASDAQ: GILTF) as well as global satellite service companies like Indonesian Satellite Corporation (NYSE: IIT) and New Skies (NYSE: NSK) could well be targets for MBTT`s newest product lines.
While the company`s financial statement reflects a business steeped in research and develop, its recent sales levels are good indications of a surviving business. Many of MB Technology, Inc. moves have been focused on real-time market demands verses other Asian Rim entrants who are throwing cash at their futures hoping to win solid market share. MBTT seems to selling first and taking no partners and getting the orders to support that tactic.
Shares of MBTT closed up Tuesday 16.67% to end the session at $0.70 on volume of 240,955 shares. Average volume was reported to be 197,784 shares. The company was added to AXcess News Stock Guide column on the close of trading Tuesday following MB Tech`s announcement.

MB Tech Announces Strategy for Marine Antenna Development
Thursday December 2, 12:11 pm ET
LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 2, 2004--MB Tech (OTCBB: MBTT - News) has initiated its marine satellite innovation in cooperation with A-Telecom Ltd, the leading low noise blocking converter (LNB) and satellite component manufacturing company worldwide. MB Tech will be expanding its product line to include the auto positioning flat antenna, marine antenna, and phased array antenna with silicone phase shifter chip (which can reduce the antenna size to less than 1 inch and which represents an industry breakthrough).
There are three parts of the marine system: antenna, media receiver, and software to track the satellite. MB Tech will be responsible for the antenna dish and utilize its existing tracking solution. A-Telecom will be responsible for the LNB and supporting hardware. This effort entails the assistance of the industry expert Tae Kwan Cho, who is directing the required modifications to our existing technology and the development of a gyro-digital compass system which represents a key component in the new marine tracking system.
It is anticipated that the completion of the marine antenna will be February 2005. Negotiation with distributors in Korea and Japan commenced during this current quarter. "We intend to market this product initially to the coastal service business and yacht market. The prototype presently has a unit sized as a 20-inch diameter dome with 21-inch height. The price is being targeted well below the industry overall which is in line with the company`s overall corporate strategy of innovation and price performance," said Hanwook Bae, CEO of MB Tech.
