Sino Securities, code SSI on the Australian stock exchange and XSSI in Germany is at present listed under investment banking, their business was listing mainly Chinese companies in Australia.
Some they have listed are CIH, SCE, OLS ( now CHI, CPIH in US.) CDL and WER ( gold explorer).
All these companies were going very well until the Asian economic crisis.
This put a halt to their main business as no floats were planned and severely affected their earnings. They decided they had to rely on themselves and Internet/telecommunications were the sector to be in.
David Tam was recruited, who is a very experienced IT manager with start up skills. He sold a business to Cisco Systems some time ago.
He developed a worlds first technology to deliver T.V. like quality advertising over the Internet that will not severely affect surfing speed.
GoConnect is it and at the moment is 70% owned by SSI, they have sold shares to strategic partners which include Aust. media holdings, who are the leading media sales organisations in Aust. and Simon Richards Group who are 50% owned by Austereo group who in turn are part owned by Village Roadshow.
Other partners are Lucent and a few others we are waiting on announcements.
GoConnect is a free ISP who will commence in March, income will be from advertising, SSI have said GoConnect will be profitable year ending June 2002, I have heard numbers that will blow you away.
GoConnect as of 22/2/00 had over 165k registered members which would have them the 3rd biggest in Aust. they are getting around 4-5k members a DAY. Huge numbers in Aust.
They have raised estimates from 500k in 12 months to 1Mill.
SSI will float around 25% of GoConnect for about $100M very soon, this would make GoConnect worth $400M which SSI will own over 50% fully diluted.
SSI have only 14.1M shares in circulation at present which would mean at asking price GoConnect would add $14.18 to SSI`s value, if as I have heard they will list at $2-3 dollars, this figure would rise by 2 to 3 times.
If they only have 500k members in 12 months and each is only valued at $1000, GoConnect would be valued at $500M which SSI would hold half, $250M divide by 14.1 is $17.70 per share.
Also SSI own 25% of a company called Multelink which I have heard SSI will float this year.
Multelink has developed a phone system which picks the cheapest carrier at that particular time and connects you, it allows you to send/receive e-mail without an ISP.
It presently works on STD/Long distance calls but will soon work on local calls.
SSI also has a joint venture company with the Dalian Govt. which they own 80%, ( they gave Dalian Govt. 20% for free) this company is signed under Australian law and the agreement is so SSI can take in or out of China any business venture they see fit and the Dalian Govt. to assist in any way.
This will obviously include GoConnect to the most populous country in the world.
I believe there is very big announcements just around the corner as we have not heard where Lucent fits in and float details are due any time, SSI holders will be given preferential treatment as far as GoConnect allocation goes and see much upside in this very undervalued stock even with what we know at present.

Ist Free ISP nicht eigentlich eine von Adelongs Beteiligungen?

      Adelong-Homepage: http://www.adelongcapital.com/html/invest.htm
