Mega-ecosystem ......Mr. Icahn´s Formulierung kann ich nur zustimmen....
.....von der Uhr .....bis zum Auto .....alles dabei.....

Also - die Watch als Autoschlüssel, Garagentoröffner, zum Aktivieren von Heizung und Alarmanlage, zum Bezahlen, als Eintrittskarte, als Gesundheits Coach/Ausweis uvm.........die einzelnen Mosaiksteinchen fügen sich also zu einem GROSSEN GANZEN - dem MEGA - ECOSYSTEM - zusammen.....

Wie Apple die automotives angeht ist völlig offen. Eine Möglichkeit(Zeitfenster fünf Jahre) ist das Apple car. Die watch als Autoschlüssel, na gut, OK, geht auch mit dem mobile, und du wirst einstweilen zusätzlich einen Schlüssel in das Zündschloss stecken. Einstweilen ist car play der Punkt für Apple, und gibt ja auch noch andere Autos um mit dem mobile die Tür zu öffnen fakultativ.

Icahn erwähnt auch das neu zu erwartende i-Phone: alleine mit dem Upgraden auf neue I-Phones und dem Asiatischen Markt(China) sollte auch mit den I-Phones bis auf WEITERES Einiges drin sein.

While we respect and admire Apple’s predilection for secrecy, the company’s aggressive increases in R&D spending (and some of the more well-supported rumors) have bolstered our confidence that Apple will enter two new product categories: television and cars. Combined, these two new markets represent $2.2 trillion, three times the size of Apple’s existing markets (if we exclude Apple Watch).


At $1.6 trillion, the enormous addressable market for new cars is approximately four times the size of the smartphone market. It’s estimated that people spend an average of 1 hour every day traveling, mostly in cars, but not everyone drives, implying that the average time that daily commuters spend in a car is much higher. We believe the rumors that Apple will introduce an Apple-branded car by 2020, and we believe it is no coincidence that many believe visibility on autonomous driving will gain material traction by then ....

Ich hab´s ja schon mal geschrieben, dass wir mit der Watch wahrscheinlich bereits den "Autoschlüssel" für´s Apple car sehen

Hab den Brief nur kurz überflogen .....was auch immer davon letztendlich eintrifft - der positive Impuls ist vorerst mal da.

Onkel Carl hat es auch erkannt, dass Watch und Pay, Health-, HomeKit und Music streaming - vor allem im Zusammenspiel - eine Riesenchance für den weiteren Erfolg von Apple darstellen .
.....dazu noch das Apple car.....TV-Streaming......ein grösseres iPad..

Auch die neuen Produkte werden sich bestens in Apple´s Ökosystem einfügen ...

Wobei Icahns Einstellungen durchaus substantiell sind. Aber kommt allen AAPL-Aktionären zugute. Apple ist aber auch schon ein außergewöhnliches Papier. Cash USD 193billion. Wirklich erstaunlich.

Diesmal hat echt Apple NASDAQ nach oben gezogen. Exakt. Ist ja immer auch ein Wechselspiel. Aber selbst an Nasdaq100 ist natürlich der prozentuale Anteil von Apple begrenzt, so über 10% jetzt aus der Erinnerung. Geschweige denn am hier abgebildeten COMPOSITE, der doch recht umfänglich ist.
