The deal for the privately held supplier of nucleic acid sample preparation products also includes additional payments of about $2 million over two years based on financial performance. Qiagen expects to take a related charge of less than $500,000 in the third quarter and sees the acquisition adding about $1.5 million to $2 million in sales of pre-analytical and related products, and about $300,000 in net income, in 2006.

(Nasdaq: QGEN; Frankfurt, Prime Standard: QIA), the world`s leading provider of innovative enabling technologies and products for the separation, purification and handling of nucleic acids and proteins today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Beijing-based Tianwei Times ("Tianwei"). Tianwei, a privately held company, is a leading developer, manufacturer and supplier of nucleic acid sample preparation consumables in China. The acquisition expands QIAGEN`s position as the leading supplier for products and technologies for preanalytical sample preparation in the rapidly growing market in China. The transaction is currently pending Chinese government approval.

Under the terms of the acquisition agreement, QIAGEN has acquired certain assets of Tianwei for approximately US$2.0 million in cash plus potential earn-outs over two years that are estimated at approximately US$2.0 million. QIAGEN expects to incur one-time charges relating to the acquisition of less than US$0.5 million in the third quarter 2005. Based on preliminary analysis, QIAGEN expects this transaction to contribute approximately $1.5-2.0 million in sales of preanalytical and related products and approximately $0.3 million in net income in 2006. Tianwei currently employs approximately 50 employees, of which a substantial number are employed in research and development.

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Qiagen NV said after Wednesday`s closing bell that it has extended a distribution agreement with Abbott Laboratories for Qiagen`s RealArt molecular diagnostic tests. Terms weren`t disclosed. Abbott also has non-exclusive distribution rights to certain Qiagen products, including infectious disease tests for hepatitis B virus and Epstein-Barr virus.

4:03PM Qiagen extends distribution agreement with Abbott (QGEN) 11.69 -0.27:Co announces that Abbott (ABT) has extended its existing distribution agreement with QGEN. Abbott received distribution rights to a number of real-time PCR diagnostic tests for use on Applied Biosystems detection instruments. The PCR assays were developed by a recent QGEN acquisition.

QIAGEN Extends Distribution Agreement With Abbott for QIAGEN`s RealArt(TM) Molecular Diagnostic Tests

VENLO, The Netherlands, June 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- QIAGEN N.V. (NASDAQ: QGEN; Frankfurt, Prime Standard: QIA) the world`s leading provider of innovative enabling technologies and products for the separation, purification and handling of nucleic acids and proteins today announced that Abbott (NYSE: ABT - News) and QIAGEN have extended their existing distribution agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, Abbott received distribution rights to a number of real-time PCR diagnostic tests for use on Applied Biosystems detection instruments. The PCR assays were developed by artus GmbH, a company QIAGEN recently acquired.
Under the extended agreement Abbott has non-exclusive distribution rights to certain QIAGEN products, including infectious disease tests for hepatitis B virus (HBV), Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), Varicella-Zoster virus (VZV), Parvo B19 virus, cytomegalovirus (CMV), herpes simplex virus (HSV) and enterovirus. These products complement a menu of tests developed and manufactured by Abbott and Celera Diagnostics.

The extended collaboration with Abbott will provide laboratories worldwide with additional real-time PCR kits for infectious disease testing."

danke für diese neuer information sehr lieb von dir die firma qiagen gehts sehr gut die aktie wird trotzdem nicht explodieren hier ist jeder cent ein harter wiederstand viele daytrader banken broker und so weiter haben keine interesse wenn qiagen teuer wird wenn bis ende dieses jahres die 10€ marke hält dann gibt ein kleiner hoffung sonnst muss du dein geld auf solar oder wett aktie umschichten da verdient man menge geld das mache ich jetzt zu mindes

Zwei Trendlinien, die eine seit Februar 2004 abwärts gerichtet, die andere seit August 2004 nach oben, nähern sich einander immer mehr an. Gelingt mit Kursen über 10,20 Euro der nachhaltige Ausbruch nach oben, sollte die Aktie zumindest bis 11,50 Euro steigen. Die Aufwärtstrendlinie verläuft dagegen bei etwa 9,30 Euro und kommt der robusten horizontalen Unterstützungszone von 9,50 Euro immer näher. Die 200-Tage-Linie befindet sich als zusätzlicher Puffer bei neun Euro. Bedenklich ist ein gerade erfolgtes negatives Signal im Wochenchart. Zunächst mit engem Stop loss von 8,95 Euro weiter HALTEN.

FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) - Die Deutsche Bank setzt bei ihrer weltweiten Anlagestrategie verstärkt auf Chancen bei strukturellen Umwälzungen und erwartet dabei besonders in Deutschland eine positive Entwicklung. Diese dürfte sich vor allem auf den hiesigen Aktienmarkt auswirken, sagte der Global Chief Investment Officer der Deutschen Bank, Klaus Martini, am Donnerstag in Frankfurt. Daher werde die Deutsche Bank `in den nächsten zwei Monaten` entsprechende Initiativen für neue Anlageprodukte vorstellen, sagte er. Auf Sicht von zwölf Monaten erwartet Martini einen DAX-Stand zwischen 4.800 und 5.050 Punkten. Bei den festverzinslichen Wertpapieren rechnet Martini mit durchschnittlichen Zuwächsen zwischen 2,5 und 3,5 Prozent. Impulse für den Aktienmarkt kämen durch die erwartete vorgezogene Bundestagswahl und einem Regierungswechsel. Dann `hat die neue Regierung ein zweijähriges Zeitfenster, wo sie notwendige Reformen durchsetzen und intensivieren kann`, sagte er. Seine regionale Schwäche könne Deutschland durch globale Absatzmöglichkeiten wettmachen. Dies zeige sich auch daran, dass Deutschland wieder Marktanteile im Export hinzu gewonnen habe. Der Analyst Thomas Brenning von Helaba Trust bewertet die Aktie von QIAGEN (ISIN NL0000240000/ WKN 901626) weiterhin mit "kaufen".
Der Q1-Bericht habe sich etwas schwächer gestaltet, als die Analysten erwartet hätten. Der Umsatz sei gegenüber dem Vorjahr um 1 Prozent gesunken, was auf die Desinvestition von Operon zurückzuführen sei. Auf organischer Basis habe man ein Plus von 8% erreicht, wobei überraschend das Europa-Geschäft (ca. +10%) stärker vorwärts gekommen sei als die Nordamerika-Erlöse (+9%). Auf Grund von Einsparungen in der Produktion sowie dem Wegfall von Sonderbelastungen (VJ: 0,9 Mio. USD) habe das operative Ergebnis, trotz der stärker als erwartet ausgebauten Forschung, um 18% zugelegt (Marge: 22,5%; VJ: 18,8%). Der Nettogewinn (+22%) habe zwar von einem verbesserten Finanzergebnis und einer leicht ermäßigten Steuerquote profitiert. Andererseits hätten niedrigere Sonstige Erträge gebremst. Insgesamt habe sich daher auch das Ergebnis je Aktie mit 9,4 (VJ: 7,7) US-Cent knapp unter der Prognose der Analysten bewegt. Eine erneut besonders gute Entwicklung habe der Cash flow geboten.
Im Jahresverlauf würden die Analysten mit einer Nachfragebelebung sowie mit klaren operativen Fortschritten rechnen. Die rege Kooperationstätigkeit und das zuletzt forcierte externe Wachstum in der Molekularen Diagnostik dürften sich ungeachtet der kurzfristigen Verwässerung der Gewinne in Form erhöhter künftiger Umsatz- und Ertragspotenziale auszahlen. Das Risiko signifikanter Budgetkürzungen oder einer markanten Dollar-Schwäche sei aktuell überschaubar. Die Strategie des Konzerns sei nach Ansicht der Analysten Überzeugend. Außerdem biete QIAGEN eine kerngesunde Bilanz sowie eine langfristig attraktive Ertragsdynamik.

...hallo pp,Linstinkt und donhugo.Sobald Qia höher kommt,erhöht sich das Volumen an Nasdaq.So von 15% auf letzt(Freitag)45%.Wegen Wochenende ist das klar.Aber schließlich kann man den Schluss daraus ziehen,dass sich bei Qia in absehbarer Zeit keine Bubble bilden wird.D.h.,man kann gut traden,sobald es sich senkt und muss dann bald Gewinne mitnehmen.Interessant ist die Frage,wie sich Qia verhalten wird,wenn sie aus der Drei-ecks-spitze kommt.Greetinx Penn.
