      Hier ein Auszug.

The other story is an outgrowth of Wolfden Resources gold side. Within the WLF’s gold portfolio was the Bachelor Lake gold mine in Quebec that, at the time of our review, we rated as an additional holding that would help underpin a gold company during rising gold prices. Wolfden has since farmed out its 50% of the project to Halo Resources
(HLO-V, closing at $0.70) for 2.1 million shares and costs. Halo has begun reporting from the project, indicating an improvement to shallow depths of its potential to create a new small-scale producer. HLO is also
about to begin testing at a second similar situation that could also enhance its market. The stock is recovering from the spring selloff, but continues to trade below its most recent financing price. Strong results from these projects could turn it into a good hedge stock in a rising gold market. The Bachelor Lake gold mine is located on
the major highway and rail route that links the major mining camps at Val d’Or and Chibougamau in west central Quebec. Val d’Or is one of eastern Canada’s historic
major producers of gold and has become a major service centre for the sector. Bachelor Lake operated between 1982 and ’89, producing 131,000 oz of gold. The average “recovered” grade of material processed during this period was 0.14 oz/ton, versus a calculated average grade for the ore of 0.21 oz/ton. This operation
failed in part because there was considerable dilution of the gold ore with adjacent, barren, wallrock. Reducing this
dilution would mean a significant gain to a new operation, but the real potential is enhanced gold grades at depth.
The remaining measured resource in the old workings area is estimated to be 185,500 tonnes @ 8.81 g/t (0.26 oz/ton) gold. Based on drill testing during and since the
operation there was, when Halo picked up the ground, an indicated resource of 196,600 tonnes at 10.8 g/t (0.32 oz/t) and a further inferred resource of 232,500 tonnes
      @ 10.4 g/t (0.30 oz/ton).
This higher-grade material offers some scope to restart the mine at current high gold prices, but Halo’s results indicate there may be better material to work with below the lowest 12 level. Halo has dewatered the mine workings and is now testing below them with a core drill. Initial results indicate zones that are both thicker and higher-grade then the current average. These have included longer intersections of 12 g/t and a series of shorter sections of plus 20 g/t material.
Thicknesses are still being tabulated, but so far they are confirming past work indicating the Main zone thickens at depth. And, earlier this month, very good results were
reported from the first test of the junction between two subsidiary zones. There are three separate gold zones at
Bachelor, the Main that produced most of the past ore, the similar B that was found in 12 level workings, and the A that cross cuts them. The first drill test of the A and B
zones junction returned 4.7 metres of 18.8 g/t gold within a 14.8 metre intersection of 8.1 g/t gold. Work is also being done to understand how several faults have shifted
the ore zones around, which may also indicate areas of focus for locating better material for a re-start of the mine. Halo’s testing to expand and enhance the
resource at Bachelor is just beginning to report results. There is also testing to come of the upper portion of the B zone that could be accessed from the existing workings. If this work continues to be successful in improving the resource average, it will lead to fairly robust feasibility numbers later this year. The existing 500 ton/day plant could be refurbished relatively quickly while the underground workings are extended to depth. And HLO will be paying only half the cost to move the project after this phase of work is complete. The market is already indicating it likes the new Bachelor results coming from Halo. If on-going reporting continues to produce these enhanced grade and thickness indications, the stock should rise with the gold price. http://www.halores.com/s/Home.asp
