Hallo,

nachdem ich viel gelesen hab und immer auf der Suche nach neuen Ideen bin, mach ich meinen ersten Thread mal auf. Hoffe auf rege Teilnahme und sachliche Diskussionen zum Thema.

Mit großem Interesse hab ich mich mit dem Thema Oil um Falkland befasst. Bin bereits in FOGL und DES investiert. Nun plane ich auch noch Rockhopper Explorations dazu zu nehmen. Grund hierfür sind zunächst die Aussichten darauf, dass in dem Gebiet Öl gefunden wird und das Management von Rockhopper, siehe Webpage:

Die bisherigen Lizenzen:

Rockhopper Group has 100% of 4 licences in the North Falkland Basin, PL023, PL024, PL032 and PL033, between them covering an area of approximately 5,800 sq. km.

PL023 and PL024 are in shallow water (all less than 200m) and are situated relatively close to the Islands.

PL032 and PL033 were previously licensed to Shell and are located in water depths of less than 550m.

The company has already identified a number of prospects and leads within its licensed areas.

Rockhopper Exploration signs memorandum of understanding with Desire Petroleum Rockhopper Exploration (Rockhopper), a new UK-based oil exploration and production company, has announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Desire Petroleum plc(Desire) to farm-in to three wells to be drilled on Desire’s acreage in Tranches C and D offshore
the Falkland Islands.

It is anticipated that the drilling programme will begin within about a year. As a result of its planned contributions to Desire’s exploration costs, Rockhopper will earn an interest in the licences of 7.5 per cent, with an option to increase that stake by up to a further 7.5 per cent by October 2005.

Rockhopper Exploration, formerly known as Crude Oil and Gas Limited, announced in December that the Falkland Islands Government had awarded it two exploration/production licences, PL023 and PL024, covering an area of 4,203 square kilometres and located 50 kilometres to the north of the Islands in the North Falkland Basin.

Pierre Jungels, Executive Chairman, commented: ‘This agreement will enable us to accelerate our exposure to drilling opportunities in the North Falkland Basin, and broaden our portfolio significantly. We look forward to working closely with Desire as we move towards the drilling
programme itself.

‘This farm-in agreement is another step, further to our recent licence awards, in creating an exploration play covering substantial parts of the North Falkland Basin. In addition, we continue to pursue other ways of building our portfolio by accessing further acreage both through negotiation with other licence holders and applications to the relevant authorities.’

UK company Rockhopper Exploration plans to raise 30mn pounds sterling (US$52.6mn) on the London AIM stock exchange in early August for exploration offshore the Falkland Islands, a consultant at Rockhopper`s PR firm Aquila Financial, William Davidson, told BNamericas.

Rockhopper will be the third UK company after Desire Petroleum and Falkland Oil and Gas Limited (FOGL) to list on the AIM to obtain financing for exploration in the Falklands.

wenn ich im w:o- Informer "Rockhopper" suche, was finde ich da? NICHTS
Ich hab`s selbst noch nicht versucht, aber ist es sehr schwierig einen neuen Thread gleich mit der Aktie, die vorgestellt/beschrieben wird zu verlinken?
Fällt mir andauernd auf, dass die Wenigsten das hinbekommen. Irgendwann verschwindet solch ein Thread unter all den anderen und der nächste zum gleichen Thema wird eröffnet.
Also, für mich als NichtFinder: Welche WKN hat Rockhopper?

Guten Morgen,
der Start war ja nicht so berauschend. Habe erste Stücke um 45p gekauft und werde nachlegen. Problem ist halt der Zeitfaktor. Solange nicht gebohrt wird oder irgendjemand in dem Gebiet was vorweisen kann, werden die Stocks den Dornröschenschlaf geniessen.

Zum Listing in Deutschland. Hab irgendwie im Gedächtnis, dass die Berliner Börse alle an der AIM gelisteten Stocks übernehmen will. Muss mal geprüft werden.

Weshalb ist der Kurs Eurer Meinung nach so eingebrochen nach dem IPO. Liegt es daran, dass Rockhopper im Prinzip auch bald mit Probebohrungen starten könnte (ähnlich wie Desire)und bis 2007 keine rig verfügbar ist??

so wird es sein. Solange keine Ergebnisse da sind, geht nichts. Das Jahr 2006 wird zeigen wo es lang geht. Darauf hab ich mich eingestellt. Die Rigs könnten wohl ein Problem darstellen. Scheint wohl einiger Bedarf da zu sein. Müsste man mal checken nach den Hurrikans.

Rockhopper Exploration plc has entered into a contract with Geophysical Service Incorporated (GSI) to perform a 2D seismic survey over licences PL023 & PL024 in the North Falkland Basin which should be completed by the end of Q1 2006. The survey will consist of approximately 900 km of acquisition.

Licences PL023 and PL024 extend over an area of 4200 km2 in water depths of between 120m and 200m. Rockhopper has now completed an interpretation of the existing 1832 km of 2D seismic data covering the licenced areas and the results confirm the presence of a number of prospects and some 17 leads.

The J1 prospect is a robust 4 way closure, with potential oil-in-place of over 300 million barrels as assessed by Scott Pickford Limited. The J Central and J North prospects have the potential to contain 90 and 30 million bbls respectively in place based on the company’s own estimates. The leads range in size individually from 70 million bbls potentially in place to over 850 million bbls potentially in place based on the company’s own estimates.
The new survey is intended to better define the J1 prospect in licence PL024 as well as a number of other leads and prospects in PL023 and PL024 which are have been identified on the existing 2D data.

Rockhopper’s other 100% licences, PL032 & PL033, are covered by approximately 1540 km of 2D and 368 km2 of 3D seismic data.

Licences PL032 and PL033, which lie in 350m to 500m of water contain a number of prospects and leads which have been mapped at various levels. Most of these prospects are downfaulted closures against the main fault at various levels on the eastern basin margin. These range in size from 290 million barrels to 620 million barrels potentially in place according to the company’s own estimates. In addition to the downfaulted closures, two large “pinch-out” prospects have been mapped, one with over 150 million bbls potentially in place, the other with over 1.5 billion bbls potentially in place based on the company’s own estimates. Further 3D seismic is required to develop the acreage for potential drilling. Funding is in place for this new 3D and a programme has already been designed.

Der Chart sieht nicht sehr vertrauenserweckend aus. Und: Gibt es Beweise, daß es um die Falkland-Inseln überhaupt Öl gibt ? Falls nur hier und da ein paar Barrel gefunden werden, werden da nie Ölanlagen errichtet werden und das Geld der Aktionäre ist mit Sicherheit weg.

Das Risiko eines Totalverlustes ist bei diesem Wert extrem hoch. Das ist nichts für Kleinaktionäre.

Das ist etwas für Verrückte, die zu viel Geld haben.
