Duly completed Application Forms must be lodged, by hand, at the Bank of England, Customer Settlement Services, Threadneedle Street, London not later than 11.30 a.m., London time [6:30 EST], on 21 March 2000. Bids submitted by SWIFT must be received by the Bank of England not later than 11.30am, London time [6:30 EST], on 21 March 2000.
The Bank will announce the total amount of gold bid for, the lowest accepted price, the scaling factor to be applied to bids made at that price and the amount of gold allotted by 12.15pm, London time [7:15 EST], or as soon as possible thereafter on the day of the auction.
Payment must be made in US dollars by wire transfer to the Bank of England’s account at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, no later than 12 noon New York time on 23 March 2000 (the “value date”).

Also ich moecht ja mal wissen, wie die Britischen Steuerzahler reagieren;
schliesslich wird hier deren Gold "verschenkt"- auf jeden Fall wird nicht nach Gewinnmaximierung gezielt.

Kennt denn jemand ein britisches Aktienboard, wo solche Fragen auf interessierte Zuhoerer stosen (hehe)- werde dann mal ein dementsprechendes posting los.
