DENVER, March 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- 1st NRG Corp. (OTC Markets: FNRC.PK, http://1stnrg-corp.com) releases an update on the company's operations.

Utica Shale – Eastern Ohio

The Company finalized an agreement to develop approximately 7,150 acres in Eastern Ohio, one of the most active areas for oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids exploration in the United States. According to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, there are over 250 approved permits to drill in the Utica shale, 15 well drilling, 128 that have been drilled and 47 producing wells. The play continues to develop and expand to the south and west. FNRC is still seeking joint venture partners for its prospect.

Niobrara Shale – Western Nebraska

The Company also finalized an agreement which will deliver an Oil and Gas Lease and surface use agreement for 1,370 acres located in Banner County Nebraska.

CBM – Northern Wyoming

Our current CBM properties are characterized by what we believe to be low geologic risk and repeatable development opportunity. Clabaugh Ranch is about 18 miles northwest of Gillette, Wyoming and all of the wells drilled there have encountered developed coal seams in the Warner, Upper and Lower Smith, Wyodak/Anderson Lower, Gates and Wall formations.

The Clabaugh Ranch field has had 42 wells drilled through September 30, 2012 with a success rate of 100%. Our drilling inventory consists of 8 permitted well locations (6 net), all of which are CBM resource opportunities. Further development of Clabaugh Ranch is being evaluated. The Company is evaluating its drilling program in Wyoming given the recent rise in Natural Gas commodity prices.

NOTE 1 - SUMMARY OF SIGNIFICANT ACCOUNTING POLICIES:
Organization - The Company is a State of Delaware corporation and maintains a December 31 fiscal year end.
Nature of Operations - 1st NRG Corp. is an exploration and production company headquartered in Denver, Colorado. The Company currently holds natural gas (CBM) assets in the Powder River Basin of Wyoming. We own working interests in producing and prospective CBM wells in the Clabaugh Ranch Field, a development of 6,025 gross acres in the Powder River Basin in northeast Wyoming. We are expanding our activities into unconventional shale potential which includes 1,370 acres in the Niobrara Shale in Western Nebraska, 7,150 acres in the Utica Shale in Eastern Ohio and 9,800 acres in the Bakken/Three Forks Shale in North Dakota.
Basis of Presentation - The accompanying financial statements were prepared by the Company and include 1st NRG's share of assets, liabilities, income and expenses from the properties in which the Company has a participating working interest. The Company has no subsidiaries or affiliates with which intercompany transactions are recorded. The Company uses the accrual basis of accounting for financial statement purposes and these statements have not been audited.
Risks and Uncertainties - Historically, oil and gas prices have experienced significant fluctuations and natural gas prices have been particularly depressed in recent years. If the Company’s assets do not generate income sufficient to meet operating expenses, the Company’s perceived market value could adversely be affected. Income from, and the value of, the Company’s assets may be adversely affected by the general economic climate, Oil & Natural Gas market conditions such as oversupply of related assets or a reduction in demand for natural gas or natural gas assets in the areas in which the Company’s assets are located, and competition from other Oil & Natural Gas companies. Revenues from the Company's assets are also affected by such factors as the costs of production and local market conditions.
Cash - Restricted - 1st NRG Corp closed a transaction with nine qualified investors in January 2011, pursuant to which the Investors purchased a private placement of Units consisting of Preferred Shares (convertible into Common Shares) and Warrants to purchase Common Shares. The total Unit purchase was $14,452,014.45 (16,057.79 per Unit) and $14,445,264 is currently reflected in equity section of the Company’s Balance Sheet as restricted cash. On September 24, 2012 the Class Preferred Shares were converted into Common Shares at an average Common Share price of $0.32 per share. Under the terms of the Unit Subscription Agreement (USA), the Investor’s cash and the Securities purchased (in certificate form) have been deposited in a restricted account with an Intermediary whereby an Account Management Agreement (AMA) between the Investors, the Company and the Intermediary governs the release of funds to the Company from the restricted account. The Investors may NOT request a return of capital without the agreement of 1st NRG and 1st NRG may not request to unwind or alter the transaction without agreement of the Investors. The shares are fully paid and non assessable.
The funds are released to the Company in 36 periodic installments pursuant to the AMA schedule approved by the Company and the Investors. Trading volumes at or above a scheduled minimum bid price will release a percentage of each periodic “Breakout” funds to the Company. There are provisions within the agreement which address release of funds to the Company in the event that 1) trading volume is below the minimums, and 2) average bid prices are above or below the minimums. These provisions are in place to ensure the offering goes forward in a smooth and timely manner and all the funds are disbursed to the Company and the shares distributed to the Investors.
Revenue Recognition - The Company recognizes oil and gas revenues for only its ownership percentage of total production under the entitlement method. Purchase, sale and transportation of natural gas are recognized upon completion of the sale and when transported volumes are delivered according to the terms of the contract.
Accounts Receivable - Accounts receivable are stated at the amount management expects to collect from outstanding balances. Management will provide for probable uncollectible amounts through a charge to earnings and a credit to a valuation allowance based on management's assessment of the current status of individual accounts. Balances that would remain outstanding after management has used reasonable collection efforts would be written off through a charge to the valuation allowance and a credit to trade receivables. Accounts receivable are short-term, non-interest bearing and uncollateralized. The Company did not record any allowance for uncollectable receivables in 2012 or 2011.
Concentrations of Credit Risk - Financial instruments that subject the Company to credit risk consist principally of cash and receivables. Cash balances are maintained in local financial institutions and at times the balances may be in excess of federally insured limits. Management believes the risk of loss to be minimal. Receivables consist primarily of amounts due from natural gas purchasers primarily located in the Rocky Mountain region of the United States. The Company does not ordinarily require collateral, but in the case of receivables for joint interest operations, the Company will have the ability to offset amounts due against the participant's share of production from the related property. At June 30, 2012, the Company did not conduct any joint interest operations.
Use of Estimates - The preparation of financial statements in conformity with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America requires management to make certain estimates and assumptions that affect certain reported amounts and disclosures. Actual results could differ from those estimates. The Company's significant estimates include estimated life of long lived assets, use of reserves in the estimation of depletion of oil and gas properties and the impairment of oil and gas properties and asset retirement obligations.
Impairment - Long-lived assets, including oil and gas properties, are reviewed for impairment whenever events or changes in circumstances indicate that the carrying amount may not be recoverable. If the expected undiscounted future cash flow from the use of the assets and their eventual disposition is less than the carrying amount of the assets, an impairment loss is recognized and measured using the asset's fair value or discounted cash flows. Management does not believe the oil and gas properties are impaired as of June 30, 2012 or December 31, 2011. No provision for impairment has been previously recorded for proved properties.
Fair Value Measurement and Financial Instruments - The Company's financial instruments consist of cash and cash equivalents, accounts receivable and accounts payable. The fair market value of these financial instruments approximates or is equal to the book value. In 2009, the Company adopted Financial Accounting Standards Board ("FASB") Accounting Standards Codification ("ASC") 820, Fair Value Measurement and Disclosures including the application of the statement to non-recurring, non financial assets and liabilities. The adoption of ASC 820 did not have a material impact on the Company's fair value measurements. ASC 820 defines fair value as the price that would be received to sell an asset or paid to transfer a liability in the principal or most advantageous market for the asset or liability in an orderly transaction between market participants at the measurement date. ASC 820 establishes a fair value hierarchy, which prioritizes the inputs used in measuring fair value into three broad levels as follows:
Level 1 - Quoted prices in active markets for identical assets or liabilities.
Level 2 - Inputs, other than the quoted prices in active markets, that are observable either directly or indirectly.
Level 3 - Unobservable inputs based on the Company's own assumptions.
ASC 820 requires the use of observable market date if such data is available without undue cost and effect.
Industry Segment and Geographic Information - The Company operates in one industry segment, the exploration, development, production and sale of natural gas. All of the Company’s operations are conducted in the continental United States and consequently, the Company currently reports as a single industry segment.
Earnings per Share - Basic earnings per share (“EPS”) is calculated by dividing net income (loss) attributable to common stock by the weighted average number of shares of common stock outstanding during the period. Diluted earnings per share incorporates the treasury stock method to measure the dilutive impact of potential common stock equivalents by including the effect of outstanding vested and unvested stock options and unvested stock awards in the average number of common shares outstanding during the period.

Shares of Gulfport Energy were in free fall last spring, dropping 55% in four months, until the oil and gas producer announced it had drilled its first three wells in the Utica shale formation in Ohio.

The Oklahoma-based company’s value has since more than doubled, bolstered by a series of company production updates on those and a handful of other new wells located in what many believe to be the next frontier in America’s oil and gas revolution.

The share price gain represents perhaps the clearest example of how investors, giddy about an expected boom in Ohio’s energy production, have been betting on companies based on some optimistic, but preliminary, production data.

But next month a more comprehensive state report will publish new data from Ohio’s oil and gas wells that will offer the most insight yet about whether the Utica is the next big thing or a potentially fizzling bust for companies operating there.

Energy producers in the Buckeye State have compared the Utica to the giant Eagle Ford shale play in Texas and declared it a boon for a state still weathering an economic downturn. However, enthusiasm has cooled somewhat since drilling began in 2011, after wells produced more cheap natural gas than the more lucrative oil.

On March 31 this year, data from between 50 and 60 wells drilled in 2012 will be given to the state. It will then be made available on the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ website in April, the department said. It did not give a specific date but last year the report came on the second of the month.

While around 500 drilling permits have been issued in the state since 2011, only those wells that have actually produced will be covered in the report. It will show output over the lifetime of every new well, its location, and its owner, providing some proof of which acreage, and which companies, are performing best.

“It is a meaningful sample of wells that will go a long way toward giving investors a sense of whether the Utica is the next big thing,” said Morningstar analyst Mark Hanson, who covers companies operating in the state.

UTICA SILENCE

Ohio publishes well data only once a year, making it one of the least transparent states in reporting energy output. Most states publish every quarter. On April 2 last year, production was published from just five wells. That is the only official state record on the play two years after drilling began there.

Results from the five wells drilled by Chesapeake Energy in Carroll and Harrison counties showed lower than expected oil production, and stronger natural gas output, the state report said.

Since then, a long list of companies, including Britain’s BP , Anadarko Petroleum and Hess Corp, have acquired acreage in Ohio. Most remain quiet about their progress for fear that it will push lease prices higher.

“It has to do with the competitive nature of things,” said Mark Houser, chief executive officer of EV Energy Partners which, together with its parent company Enervest Ltd, owns more than 800,000 acres in the Utica. “If you have a good acreage position, you still may want to buy the acre next door. You don’t want to have everything public.”

BP, Anadarko and Hess did not respond to request for comment for this story.

Devon Energy is in the process of selling more than 200,000 acres in the Utica after drilling a series of what a company spokesman described as “disappointing” wells in what it expected to be oil-producing acreage. Chesapeake Energy, which did not immediately respond to calls for comment, has also sold off a portion of its more than 1 million acres there.

“The little I have seen from the Utica shows it has been a bit disappointing given the expectations,” said Phil Weiss, an analyst with Argus Research who covers companies drilling there. “Given that the amount of information is relatively sparse, people will be paying attention.”

PEAK RATE, SHAKE AND BAKE

Meanwhile, smaller companies such as Gulfport, Rex Energy and Magnum Hunter Resources, with a proportionately bigger stake in the Utica, have more to lose if the play turns out to be a dud.

Rex Energy and Magnum Hunter did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Of the smaller companies, Gulfport’s share price has shown the most remarkable rise since the first half of last year and the company in many ways encapsulates both the hype about the Utica and the difficulty in deciphering its true potential.

Since June, 2012, when it announced it had drilled its first three Utica wells, Gulfport’s share price has risen 156%, from below $17 to more than $43 on March 18, as the company began reporting initial flow rates from the new wells.

But as the April deadline for reporting well production looms, experts will be watching closely for whether Gulfport’s preliminary data holds up to further scrutiny.

“Ultimately, the production and estimated ultimate recovery of our wells and those of our peers will provide definitive answers,” said Paul Heerwagen, Gulfport’s director of investor relations.

The company, which owns 128,000 net acres in the Utica, published impressive “peak rates” of gas and condensates from its Utica wells, a measurement of initial flows taken over a limited time period, usually no longer than 24 hours. A peak rate is typically much higher than eventual longer term output that declines over time.

“The peak rate is more a bragging type thing,” said Randall Collum, a natural gas production analyst at data provider Genscape. “It is nice to know and gives some indication of potential production, but I would rather get a longer term outlook.”

During a quarterly conference call with analysts on Feb 27, Gulfport chief executive James Palm revealed longer term rates for two wells, which had fallen off significantly from the first flows.

Natural gas output from the Wagner 1-28H well fell from a peak rate of 17.1 million cubic feet per day reported on August 7 to an average of 5.2 million cubic feet per day after 129 days of production. Output of gas condensates fell from 432 barrels per day to 94 bpd.

Decline rates are normal, and Gulfport executives said on Feb. 27 that output from the Wagner well has increased slightly since the end of the year.

Gulfport is not alone in reporting peak rates. Rex Energy chief executive Tom Stabley said he was “very excited” about output from three new Utica wells in a statement on March 18 that disclosed 24-hour test rates for the wells.

But the speed of the declines in the Gulfport wells, and the scarcity of longer term data, makes it hard for investors to judge whether it will be a good long-term investment.

“The first four months show that the peak rate was not over-representative of what could ultimately be recovered from the well,” said Morningstar’s Hanson.

Further muddying the water is a new technique known in the industry as ‘shake and bake’ or ‘resting’, where a well is plugged for a number of days or months after drilling to increase pressure in the well. Shake and bake, an unproven method that companies hope might improve recovery from a well over its lifetime, can increase initial flows by raising pressure, said Gulfport’s Heerwagen, though it is not yet clear if it increases flows long term.

So far, more than 500 well permits have been issued in the Utica since 2011, many of which are expected to begin producing as new pipelines and processing plants are built to connect wells to markets as early as this spring.

As more wells are drilled, more information will be made available – but not for a while. The data on wells drilled in 2013 will remain largely unknown until April 2014.

Cash Flow Used by Investing Activities
During the year ended December 31, 2012 and 2011, we had cash used by investing activities of $14,443,694 and $12,611, respectively. In 2011, we incurred additional capital costs finishing up wells drilled in the fourth quarter of 2010. 1st NRG Corp is an exploration and production company headquartered in Denver, Colorado. The Company currently owns working interests in producing and prospective CBM wells in the Clabaugh Ranch Field, a development of 6,025 gross acres in the Powder River Basin in northeast Wyoming. The Powder River Basin is a major source of coal bed methane – a clean natural gas. We acquired our interest in the field in August 2010 which currently has 42 drilled coal bed methane wells which produce approximately 1,200 to 1,300 MCFD. The target coal formations are part of the Tongue River Member of the Fort Union formation and all of the wells drilled have encountered developed coal seams in the Warner, Upper and Lower Smith, Wyodak/Anderson Lower, Gates and Wall formations. Well log analysis demonstrates gross pay zones of approximately 150-200 feet. The most significant of these are the Werner, Wyodak/Andersen, and Gates coals. We are planning expansion of our activities into unconventional shale potential which include 1,370 acres in the Niobrara Shale in Western Nebraska, and 7,150 acres the Utica Shale in Eastern Ohio. The Niobrara Shale, the Utica Shale, not only have potential oil reserves, but also natural gas and natural gas liquids.
Our properties at Clabaugh Ranch are about 20% developed; currently the 42 drilled wells are commingling gas produced from three coals - the upper and lower Smith, and the Wyodak/Anderson. When produced water from these coal seams subside, the intent is to perforate other behind pipe coal seams and begin producing from those coals using the same well bores and equipment (pumps, electricity, water and natural gas gathering systems). This should result in lower total development and operating costs per mcf for the property. There are 8 permitted locations we intend to develop and acreage for 23 locations which will be permitted in the future. We have also identified 1,160 acres which we intend to pursue which would expand the field.
Utica Shale – Eastern Ohio
We have finalized an agreement to develop approximately 7,150 acres in Eastern Ohio targeting the Utica Shale, one of the most active areas for oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids exploration in the United States. Recently the Ohio Department of Natural Resources released estimates of the possible Utica-Point Pleasant recoverable reserve potential in Ohio to be between 3.75 to 15.7 trillion cubic feet of natural gas and 1.3 to 5.5 billion barrels of oil. The USGS released its first estimates of the reserve potential of the Utica Shale to be about 38 trillion cubic feet of undiscovered, recoverable natural gas, 940 million barrels of oil and 9 million barrels of natural gas liquids. The USGS estimates included part of Maryland, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia
Niobrara Shale – Western Nebraska
The Company has entered into an agreement which when closed will deliver an Oil and Gas Lease and surface use agreement for 1,370 acres located in Banner County Nebraska. We expect the area to have possibilities to develop the Niobrara Shale which is being compared to the Bakken Shale in North Dakota. Located in the Denver Julesburg Basin which extends from Southeast Wyoming and Southwest Nebraska into Northeast Colorado the acreage will provide the company with possible oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids development in the Niobrara Shale, as well as the Codel, Greenhorn, D and J Sands. Industry estimates of the possible Niobrara Original Oil in Place (OOIP) are 30 million BOE per section, however recoverable oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids will vary by area, thickness, and porosity.

Dekania Corp. (AMEX: DEK, DEK.U, DEK.WS) (“Dekania”), a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) that completed its IPO in February 2007, and BlueCreek Energy, Inc., an energy company engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of coal bed methane properties, today announced entering into a non-binding letter of intent for Dekania Corp. to acquire BlueCreek Energy. The letter of intent is subject to the execution of a definitive agreement, which is expected to be finalized in January.

The transaction – structured as a share exchange under which BlueCreek shareholders will receive Dekania Corp. shares – is expected to close by June 15, 2009. Financial terms of the transaction value BlueCreek at $80 million, less the amount of any assumed indebtedness.

Following completion of the transaction, the combined company will apply to retain Dekania Corp.’s listing on NYSE Alternext. ich habe nur die fakten zusammen gezählt und bin zu dem entschluss gekommen das die aktie mehr wert sein sollte

von den 0,58 cent kannst du dich verabschieden, da gab es viel weniger aktien.... aber 5 cent sind long schon drin, zumal sie angekündgit haben in einem filling in naher zukunft einen positiven cash flow zu erwirtschaften ...

hinzukommt das sie ein joint venture partner suchen und sie 7 hektar land im gas und oil reichsten gebiet der usa besitzen aber auch noch andere liegenschaften

der niedrige float macht es dazu auch noch interessant.. alles schon gepostet

erst dachte ich schon heut brennt sie nach oben durch, dann im verlauf dachte ich, ok kleiner rücksetzer heut... wäre nicht schlimm



wenn ich mir nun den chart anschaue, könnte es morgen zu einem kleinen rücksetzer kommen, da das we bevor steht. einbrechen wird sie nicht, denke ich

aber es gab ein hammer in der aufwärtsbewegung, das ist noch kein klares signal, nur ein anzeichen

bisher wurde alles um die 0,007 aufwärts, mit starken umsätzen aufgefangen

also wenn du nicht zu teuer gekauft hast und nicht long gehen möchtest, dann schau morgen genau darauf was der kurs macht, den kurzen hype am anfang vllt schnell verkaufen.

OBV steigt unaufhörlich weiter.... CHO ist auch wieder im aufwärtstrend nach einem kleinen rücksetzer

und CMF weiter bullisch und wie wir hier sehen nun über der nulllinie

2 uscent sidn mein persönliches kurzfristiges ziel, aber und vllt passiert es hier, in selten fällen ignoriert der kurs den RSI und es kommt zum durchlauf bis zum realen wert. der sollte ca. bei 5 uscent liegen

da sind die aussichten aber noch nicht ein gerechnet.
fakt ist sie wollen in naher zukunft ein positiven cash flow erwirtschaften
stossen sie auf oil in ohio gibt es noch mehr chancen
gut liegenschaften haben sie dort.

und wohl gemerkt die letze news war am 01.03.
die nächste news wird wohl ein extremen run verursachen, so sie denn positiv ist

aber möglich ist, es die 0,007-0,0075 kommen nicht noch mal

Warum?, ich glaube die ema 200 läuft bei 0,0115, geht der kurs drüber, ein katzensprung, geht es richtung 2 uscent
Und dann entscheidet es sich, pullback auf ein uscent (nur kurz) und dann wieder rauf richtung 3-5 uscent

oder sie macht aufgrund einer positiven news das unglaubliche und maschiert, dann wäre stop aber erst bei ca. 9 cent mit dann einem sehr starken pullback auf min 3 cent

fehler die läuft bei 0,115 das ist noch ein stück .... aber an den 2 uscent halt ich trotzdem fest.

wie schon gesagt 14 mio asset, verbindlichkeiten abgezogen durch die anzahl der aktien macht ca. 0,057 uscent

Erhöhte Export von US-Erdgas könnte eine noch nie dagewesene Nachfrage nach großvolumigen Hydraulische Spaltung erstellen.

Unbeschränkte Ausfuhr von US-Erdgas hätte enorme Auswirkungen auf die Zukunft der Nation Wirtschaft, Umwelt und nationalen energiepolitischen Entscheidungen. Noch fordert ein aufkeimender Chor im Kongress, auf beiden Seiten des Ganges, die rasche Zulassung von 19 flüssiges Erdgas (LNG) Ausfuhrgenehmigungen.

Die Akzeptanz dieser Genehmigungen würden eine noch nie da gewesenen Rausch der inländischen hochvolumigen Hydraulische Spaltung oder Fracking, entfesseln, nur um täglich Produktionsraten unter Jahrzehnte langen vertraglichen Verpflichtungen zu erfüllen. Angenommen, die Summe der Emissionsrechte derzeit im Berichtsjahr durch das Department of Energy für LNG-Export wäre gleich 28,54 Milliarden Kubikfuß (Bcf) pro Tag, rund 45 Prozent der wie die USA voraussichtlich täglich verbrauchen im Jahr 2013 nach die US Energy Administration.

Kongress Unterstützer der unbegrenzten Exporte argumentieren, dass die USA in einer großen Netto-Exporteur von verflüssigtem Erdgas verwandeln würde nicht nur unsere Wirtschaft und Arbeitsplätze schaffen, sondern auch — Grundsätze von Angebot und Nachfrage zu trotzen scheint — aufrechtzuerhalten geringe inländische Erdgaspreise, erhöhen unsere Energiesicherheit und treiben uns zu Energie-Unabhängigkeit. Einige haben sogar behauptet, dass solche Ausfuhren Boom-Bust-Zyklen glätten und eine der Preise für Erdgas Stabilisierung würde.

Gesetzlich erfordert das Erdgas-Gesetz des Department of Energy, Export von LNG in Freihandelsabkommen nicht Länder erlaubt, nur dann, wenn solche Ausfuhren, im öffentlichen Interesse gehalten werden zu gewähren. LNG-Exporte in Länder die USA hat den Freihandelsabkommen mit, wie Kanada und Mexiko, erfordern keine Bestimmung des öffentlichen Interesses.

Auf dem Senatssaal argumentierte im vergangenen Monat Senator James Inhofe (R -OK), "Was könnte dies im öffentlichen Interesse vereinbar sein? Dies ist etwas, das wäre billiger Gas für uns und geben uns völlige Unabhängigkeit in einer Angelegenheit von Wochen."

Bei einer Veranstaltung im vergangenen Jahr gesponsert von den Handel Gruppe Americas Erdgas Alliance, Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski, oben Republikaner im Senat-Ausschuß für Energie und natürliche Ressourcen, sagte: "Export von Erdgas... dürften nicht spielen eine wichtige Rolle bei der Festlegung der Preise hier zu Hause."

In einer Erklärung von seinem Büro, Senator Mark Begich (D -AK), sagte AlterNet veröffentlicht, sind "Bedenken, die Erdgas-Exporte erheblich den Preis für Erdgas für den häuslichen Gebrauch fahren übertrieben."

Er fügte hinzu: "Darüber hinaus auch mit dramatischen Zunahme der LNG Märkte im Ausland und Nutzung von Erdgas zu Hause, haben die USA mehr als genug Gas in beiden Märkten für eine lange Zeit zu erfüllen."

Aber viele Experten in der Nähe der Frage — unterstützt durch mehrere Studien, reale Zahlen und historische Trends — sagen diese gewählten Staatschefs sind entweder nicht mit der amerikanischen Öffentlichkeit Abgleich oder sind einfach schlecht informiert.

"Mitglieder des Kongresses nicht Energieexperten sind so dass sie leicht verwechselt, sind", sagte Tad Patzek, Vorsitzender der Abteilung für Erdöl und Geosystems Engineering an der University of Texas. "Und ihre Religion ist freie Marktwirtschaft. Es hat nichts mit der Realität, vor allem die Energiemärkte zu tun hat."

Patzek, ein Experte im unkonventionellen Gas Recovery und ausgiebig studiert hat, US-Schiefer spielt, Kongress Booster unbegrenzte Exporte "wahnhafte" in einem Interview mit AlterNet genannt.

"Das ist immer und immer wieder das gleiche Argument," fügte er hinzu. "Wenn wir einen Boom haben, dann ist zweimal der Boom immer besser. Richtig? Nun, nicht unbedingt."

Innenpolitisch bleibt Erdgas billig, umschwebten $3,50 pro tausend Kubikmeter (Mcf). Aber in Europa und Asien, bzw. Preise sind drei bis fast fünf Mal so hoch.

Das derzeitige Überangebot an Erdgas in den USA hat Preise niedrig gehalten für beide Verbraucher Stromrechnungen und energieintensiven Bereichen der Wirtschaft, wie neu belebt heimischen verarbeitenden Gewerbe, das Erdgas für Rohstoffe verwendet. Aber in den letzten paar Jahren Gasunternehmen haben wurde Geld verlieren weil Versorgung Nachfrage überholt hat und Renditen auf Erdgas in seiner inländischen Preis zu niedrig wurde, um die Produktionskosten zu rechtfertigen.

Exportieren von LNG an den Meistbietenden Übersee würde die Gewinne der Gasunternehmen und auch einige Unternehmen in seinen Export profitieren. Aber viele Experten sind sich einig, und mehrere Studien zeigen, dass es die doppelte Wirkung hätte der Erhöhung der Preise im Inland zu Ebenen, die beide würde verletzt Verbraucher und alle anderen energieintensiven Sektoren der Wirtschaft.

"Falls wir gezwungen sind, $12 bis $16 pro Mcf, gut zu zahlen, dann unsere Wirtschaft gehen pleite ist," sagte Patzek.

"Ich nicht weiß von jemandem, der das studiert hat, die nicht anerkennen, dass die Preise steigen werden", sagte Art Berman, Öl und Gas Geologen, die mit Sitz in Houston geologische Beratungs Firma Labyrinth Consulting leitet. "Also wenn wir uns in 20 Jahren Verträge Export X Anzahl der Milliarden Kubikfuß pro Tag, auch sperren, das geht um den Preis zu erhöhen. Und das ist wirklich das, was es ist."

Berman's Forschung auf tatsächliche US, Schiefer, gut Produktion, im Gegensatz zu bloßen Projektionen, führte ihn u.a. zu Frage Industrie und Regierung Mantren verfügt über Amerikas immer reichliche Versorgung mit Erdgas Reserven. Mit Industrie und Regierung Prognosen nach oben von 100 Jahren ungenutzte inländischen Erdgas schätzt Berman, basierend auf die Rate der Renditen von gebohrte Schiefer spielt in der gesamten Nation, eine realistischere Zahl etwa 20-25 Jahren Versorgungssicherheit wäre.

Zwar noch ohne factoring in die Auswirkungen auf die Versorgung, wenn die USA ein Hauptexporteur wird. Patzek sagte, dass Industrie und Regierung Projektionen von Erdgasreserven sind lediglich "Spekulation", weshalb die Verwendung dieser Ressource verlangt "Mäßigung". Verwenden diese Reserven in Maßen, sagte er, ist es wahrscheinlich, dass mehrere Jahrzehnte unerschlossene domestic Erdgas bleibt. Aber was nicht zu leugnen, fügte er hinzu, war, dass öffnen unsere Versorgung für grenzenlose Exporte der USA auf diese endlichen Reserven schneller, unnötig vergeuden sie zum Abbau zwingen würde.

"Wie funktioniert eine strategische Naturressource exportieren Sie mehr Energie unabhängig machen?" Berman sagte in einem Interview mit AlterNet. "Wenn Sie es an jemand verkaufen, sind dann per definitionem Sie Ihre eigene Versorgung verringern."

Er fuhr fort: "Ihre Energieunabhängigkeit Unterzeichnung langfristiger Verträge, die Erdgas, zu exportieren, wenn überhaupt erforderlich, nur verringert werden."

Eben Burnham-Snyder, ein Sprecher Haus Natural Resources Committee Ranking Mitglied Republik Edward Markey (D-Mass.), vereinbart.

"Jeder einzelne Analyse von Erdgas exportieren gelangt ist, dass die Inlandspreise zu erhöhen, werden," sagte Burnham-Snyder in einer e-Mail an AlterNet. ", Basiert auf grundlegenden Wirtschaftstheorie."

Er fuhr fort: "senden mehr unsere Erdgas-Ressourcen im Ausland, statt mehr davon hier für Verbraucher und Hersteller zu behalten und bietet eine vielfältige Energieversorgung eine Politik um uns mehr Energie sicher zu machen... ist nicht[es] macht uns weniger unabhängig, und nicht mehr."

Berman hinzugefügt, "diese Unternehmen haben dumm, unvorsichtig überproduziert ihres eigenen Produktes auf den Punkt, was sie können nicht Geld verdienen, um den Preis, die sie selbst erstellt haben. So, jetzt sind sie auf der Suche nach einer Lösung für dieses Problem, und sie haben es geschafft, einer Reihe von Idioten im Kongress davon zu überzeugen, dass dies eine gute Idee ist."

Kein Kongress Unterstützer von AlterNet kontaktiert würde erklären, wie Erdgas exportieren wiederum Sicherheit der Energieversorgung und Energie-Unabhängigkeit des Landes erhöhen würde.

Unterstützer scharen sich um "Ernsthaft fehlerhaft" Studie

Kongress Unterstützer der uneingeschränkten Erdgas Exporte wurden vom letztjährigen economic Impaktstudie, die von dem Department of Energy Auftrieb. Der Bericht, durchgeführt von der externen Firma NERA Economic Consulting, kam zu dem Schluss, die zwar inländische Erdgas, die Preise moderat steigen würde und einige Sektoren der Wirtschaft, wie Fertigung, nachteilig wäre beeinträchtigt der "würde U.S. net wirtschaftliche Nutzen aus erhöhten LNG-Exporte erleben.",

Nach seiner Freilassung 110 parteiübergreifende Mitglieder des House Of Representatives feuerte einen Brief drängen Energieminister Steven Chu, Zulassung von allen LNG-Export zu beschleunigen lässt.

Als Kritik an der NERA-Studie begann Gießen in eine parteiübergreifende Gruppe von Senatoren, darunter James Inhofe (R -OK), Mary Landrieu (D -LA), David Vitter (R -LA) und Mark Begich (D -AK), gefolgt mit einem Brief ihre eigenen zu Sekretär Chu, darauf er "die fundierten wissenschaftlichen Grundlagen und ökonomische Theorie, die aus" anhören der Ergebnisse der Studie.

Aber die NERA-Studie wurde nicht nur für die fragwürdige Modellierung und wirtschaftliche Auswirkungen für die Umwelt, Gesundheit und lokale Arbeitsplätze auslassen Zentralbankgouverneur — wie Betriebe und Unternehmen, die sie unterstützen – sondern auch für die NERA beunruhigende Geschichte des Dirigierens positive Studies für die Tabak-und die Kohle.

In einem Januar 2013-Brief an dem Energieministerium Riss Senator Ron Wyden (D -OR), Vorsitzender des Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, den NERA-Bericht nannte es "ernsthaft fehlerhaft" auf den Punkt wiedergibt, die nicht ausreichend für die Abteilung in jedem Export-Bestimmung verwendet "dieser Studie."

Mängel Wyden hervorgehoben sind NERA mit zwei-jährigen Energie Zahlen zu den inländischen Verbrauch von Erdgas, Projekt umfassend beurteilen die Auswirkungen von steigenden Preisen auf Haushalte und Unternehmen, versäumt, unzureichend Bilanzierung Produktion Auswirkungen auf die verschiedenen regionalen Märkte, und das Ergebnis höhere Preise auf verschiedenen sozioökonomischen Gruppen auslassen. Alle mit Wyden festgestellt, dem Energieministerium hat die Aufgabe, um zu beurteilen, um öffentliches Interesse-Ermittlungen nach dem Erdgas-Act erfüllen.

Nach seiner Freilassung Rep. Edward Markey (D -MA), der oberen Demokrat auf natürlichen Ressourcen-Ausschuss des Repräsentantenhauses, sagte die Studie zeigt, obwohl herunterspielt, dass solche Ausfuhren würde "eine massive Übertragung von Vermögen bilden von der Arbeit der Amerikaner zu Erdgas-Produktion und Unternehmen Export."

"Die meisten Amerikaner nicht an Erdgas-Unternehmen besitzen, aber fast alle Amerikaner verwenden Erdgas und waren mit Low-Cost-Erdgas, erstellt kaufen" Markey Sprecher Burnham-Snyder sagte AlterNet. "Unbeschränkte Ausfuhr von Erdgas profitieren nur eine wenige, während den Rest von Amerika, die höheren Kosten von höhere Gaspreise zu zahlen."

Das Energy Department beauftragt zunächst eine Begleiter-Studie, die von Energy Information Administration (EIA), ein unabhängiger Zweig der Abteilung. Die Studie, veröffentlicht im Januar 2012, konzentrierte sich auf wie eine bessere Erdgas-Exporte würde inländischen Verbrauch, Produktion und Preise auswirken.

Der Bericht kommt zu dem Schluss:

Erhöhte Erdgas exportiert Blei in höhere inländische Erdgaspreise, erhöhte inländische Erdgasförderung und reduzierte inländischen Erdgasverbrauch erhöhte Erdgas-Importe aus Kanada über Pipeline.

Doch machte auch diese UVP-Prüfung als Wyden vermerkt auf dem Energieministerium seine Berechnungen basierend auf geschätzte Ausfuhrmengen deutlich niedriger ist als die Summe der Emissionsrechte jetzt im Berichtsjahr. Die UVP projiziert zwischen einem geringen Volumen von 6 Milliarden Kubikfuß pro Tag und ein hohes Volumen von 12 Milliarden Kubikfuß pro Tag. So auch seine hohe Reichweite Emissionshandelsystem der etwa 29 Milliarden Kubikfuß pro Tag jetzt vorgeschlagen.

Aber die Ergebnisse einer unabhängigen Purdue University-Studie veröffentlicht, nach der Analyse NERA wurden noch krasser und direkt herausgefordert NERAs Schlussfolgerungen.

"Die wichtige Schlussfolgerung dieser Forschung ist, dass Erdgas Exporte eine geringe Senkung der US-BIP führt und erhöht auch die Treibhausgas-Emissionen und andere Emissionen wie Partikel. Es ist ein Verlust von Arbeits- und Kapitaleinkommen in allen Bereichen der Energie-intensive und Strompreise zu erhöhen."

Die Autoren weiter, "die Hauptunterschiede zwischen unsere Ergebnisse und die anderen großen Studie (NERA) sind, dass man wesentlich höhere Erdgas Preis Auswirkungen, und wir nicht Exporteinnahmen so groß kommen. Die höhere Erdgaspreise verursachen durchdringenden Verluste in allen der Handels-, Gewerbe- und Wohngebiete."

In einer Schlussbemerkung, die Autoren-Vorsicht, "angesichts der Ergebnisse dieser Analyse ist es klar, dass die politischen Entscheidungsträger sehr vorsichtig sein bei der Genehmigung von US-Erdgas-Exporte müssen. Während wir normalerweise Jünger des Freihandels-Orthodoxie sind, muss man in jedem Fall der Beweisaufnahme. Haben wir getan, und die Analyse zeigt, dass dieser Fall anders ist. Mit Erdgas in den USA ist vorteilhafter als Exporte, sowohl wirtschaftlich als auch ökologisch."

Umwelt- und Gesundheitsfolgen Links aus dem Mix

Umwelt-Gruppen, einschließlich das Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) und der Sierra Club, schlug auch die Studie zu ökologischen Auswirkungen von erhöhten inländischen Fracking auf die Wirtschaft und die Gesundheit der lokalen Gemeinschaften in die Bohrungen auftreten würde und auf das globale Klima zu bewerten.

Der Sierra Club ergab, dass unterstützende Hauptpunkt die NERA-Studie für ein wirtschaftlicher Vorteil aus den Exporten gebaut wurde, auf die negative ökologische Auswirkungen zu ignorieren.

Anwenden von Schätzungen der Bundesregierung, berechnet die Gruppe, dass der Anstieg der Erdgas-Exporte eine zusätzliche 689.000 Tonnen Methan in die Atmosphäre jedes Jahr an soziale Summe von $430,625,000 Pumpe würde. Diese zusätzlichen Kosten würde zunichte gemacht, mehr als 20 Prozent der BIP-Zuwachs, projiziert in die NERA-Studie, die der leichten Nettogewinn von Ausfuhren auf einen Nettoverlust verlagern würde.

Jeff Deyette, ein leitender Energie-Analyst bei der Union of Concerned Scientists, sagte, dass Methan austreten Probleme, sowohl in den Akt des Fracking und Extraktion der Transport von Erdgas, größere Bewertung verlangen.

"Wie stark Methan, noch bescheiden ist Mengen könnten Erdgas als schlecht oder schlechter Kohle aus Sicht total Gewächshaus-Gas-Emissionen machen" sagte Deyette.

Die NRDC festgestellt, der NERA-Bericht "ignoriert Umwelteffekte, einschließlich der globalen Erwärmung, Luftverschmutzung, Wasserverschmutzung und andere Verschmutzung Auswirkungen" und "völlig vernachlässigt, öffentliche Gesundheit und Umweltschäden, die routinemäßig in regulatorischen Folgen Analysen geschätzt werden zu schätzen."

Henry Henderson, Direktor des Midwest-Programm an das Natural Resources Defense Council, darauf hingewiesen, dass die negativen Bohren Auswirkungen auf Gemeinschaften nicht in BIP-Schätzungen oder corporate Jahresberichte bloßstellen.

"Es gibt langfristige Auswirkungen auf die Eigenschaftenwerte und die Volkswirtschaften der Landgemeinden, die einfach die Kosten für den Verkauf von Erdgas auf dem Markt nicht richtig gemessen werden", sagte Henderson kürzlich in einem Interview mit AlterNet.

Diese Auswirkungen hat schon in Staaten, die waren die frühen Fracking-Boom, wie Pennsylvania beheimatet. Als Januar Bericht vom Center for Public Integrity detaillierte war die Aussicht auf Erdgas exportieren nicht Teil der Abmachung, wenn Pennsylvanians vereinbart, um ihren Zustand zu Fracking zu öffnen.

Patzek, von der University of Texas, stellte fest, dass in späteren Phasen der Nutzung einer Ressource wie Kohlenwasserstoffe, neigen wir dazu, gehen von der Verwendung von Ferne mit sehr konzentrierter Kohlenwasserstoffen, z. B. West Texas oder den Nahen Osten, zu geringerer Qualität, schwieriger und verdünnter Ressourcen, die sind in der Nähe, wo die Menschen leben.

"Wir sind jetzt auf der Bühne richtig und es wird nur noch schlimmer", sagte er. "Wir werden mehr und mehr Eingriff werden in denen Menschen leben."

Patzek hinzugefügt, "Wir scheinen nicht in der Lage zu gehen über den nächsten Boom-oder-Bust Zyklus und bitten um ein bisschen mehr Planung. Dieser Gedanke, dass es ein gemeinsames gut und eine gemeinsame Zukunft, die wir alle haben ist verschwunden."

dieser liegt bei 4,37 US Cent, aktuell notiert sie bei 0,27 US Cent
irgendwie ist 1st nrg ein verschlafener wert

Der weltweite Energiemarkt wird durch einen "Angebotsschock" infolge der boomenden Schiefergas- und Schieferöl-Industrie in den USA völlig neu geordnet. Zu diesem Ergebnis kommt die Internationale Energieagentur (IEA) in ihrem neuen Fünf-Jahres-Ausblick. Der Schiefergas- und Schieferöl-Boom in den USA habe ein neues Energieangebot geschaffen, das "den Markt in den nächsten fünf Jahren so verändern wird wie der Anstieg der chinesischen Nachfrage in den vergangenen 15 Jahren".

Die Schieferöl- und Schiefergas-Förderung hat einen regelrechten Goldrausch des 21. Jahrhunderts in den USA ausgelöst, wo Milliarden Dollar damit gemacht und hunderttausende neuer Arbeitsplätze in abgelegenen Gegenden wie North Dakota geschaffen werden.

Die IEA verwies darauf, dass die US-Ölindustrie, deren Niedergang unaufhaltsam erschien, plötzlich zum "Zentrum eines neuen Ölbooms" geworden sei. "Nordamerika hat einen Angebotsschock ausgelöst, der seine Wellen in die ganze Welt aussendet", sagte IEA-Exekutivdirektorin Maria van der Hoeven bei der Vorstellung des Berichts.

Die IEA hatte bereits in ihrem Ausblick vom November geschrieben, dass die USA aufgrund der Schieferöl-Förderung bis 2017 zum weltweit größten Ölproduzenten aufsteigen würden. Die USA könnten sich so vom weltweit größten Ölimporteur in den nächsten Jahren zum Exporteur wandeln. Gleichzeitig geht die IEA in ihrem neuen Fünf-Jahres-Ausblick davon aus, dass Nicht-OECD-Länder in den nächsten Jahren bei der Ölnachfrage die führenden Industrienationen überflügeln werden.

Die Technik zur Schiefergas- und Schieferöl-Förderung ist wegen befürchteter Auswirkungen auf die Umwelt hoch umstritten. Beim sogenannten Fracking werden Wasser, Sand und Chemikalien in schwer zugängliche Gesteinsschichten wie Schiefer gepresst und dadurch Druck erzeugt, um Gas oder Öl freizusetzen. Kritiker bemängeln unter anderem, dass die Chemikalien das Grundwasser verseuchen könnten. Andere befürchten sogar, dass Erdbeben dadurch ausgelöst werden könnten. In Deutschland konnte sich die schwarz-gelbe Koalition bislang nicht auf einen Gesetzentwurf zum Fracking einigen

ABER,das große Problem wird der ökologische Gesichtspunkt sein.da weiß man nicht was da alles so passieren kann bei fracking.falls da irgendwelche Studien zu tage kommen die negativ ausfallen,dann wird der kurs gen null gehen.

Ich habe neulich einen interessanten TV-Bericht über Bakken Shale und das Fracking dort gesehen.Da ist die absolute Goldgräber-Stimmung und ökologische Gesichtspunkte spielen da eher eine untergeordnete, wenn überhaupt eine Rolle. Ist zwar traurig, aber wahr. Und wenn die Amis Geld und Business wittern, ist Ökologie kein Thema.
Die Aussicht Öl- und Gaslieferant zu werden und unabhängig zu werden von arabischen Lieferanten wird alles möglich machen!

Die US-Energiebehörde EIA gab am gestrigen Donnerstag einen Anstieg der Lagermengen um 99 Milliarden Kubikfuß bekannt, dem Gaspreis bekam dies gar nicht gut.

Laut einer Bloomberg-Umfrage unter Analysten war mit einem Lagerplus von 94 Milliarden Kubikfuß gerechnet worden. Zur Erinnerung: In der vergleichbaren Kalenderwoche des Vorjahres erhöhten sich die Lagermengen um lediglich 56 Milliarden Kubikfuß. Der kälteste Winter seit elf Jahren dürfte nun endgültig abgehakt sein. Für den Fall eines relativ kühlen Sommers droht dem Gaspreis erhebliches Ungemach, schließlich dürften dann die in US-Haushalten und –Büros installierten Klimaanlagen auf „Sparflamme“ laufen. Der Gasbedarf der Elektrizitätswerke dürfte dann den Erwartungen hinterherhinken und einen schnellen Aufbau der Lagervorräte begünstigen. Für den Gaspreis wäre dies auf jeden Fall ungünstig. Die Marktakteure dürften daher mit einem Auge stets die US-Wetterberichte verfolgen.
Am Freitagvormittag präsentierte sich der Gaspreis mit stabilen Notierungen. Bis gegen 7.45 Uhr (MESZ) erholte sich der nächstfällige Future auf Henry-Hub-Erdgas um 0,01 auf 3,942 Dollar pro mmBtu.

State laws regulate the size and shape of drilling and spacing units or proration units governing the pooling of natural gas properties. Some states allow forced pooling or integration of tracts to facilitate exploration while other states rely on voluntary pooling of lands and leases. These laws and regulations may limit the amount of natural gas we can produce from our wells or limit the number of wells or the locations at which we can drill. Moreover, Wyoming imposes conservation and severance taxes on the production and sale of natural gas within its jurisdiction.



Natural Gas Regulation. The availability, terms and cost of transportation significantly affect sales of natural gas. The interstate transportation and sale for resale of natural gas is subject to federal regulation, including regulation of the terms, conditions and rates for interstate transportation, storage and various other matters, primarily by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Federal and state regulations govern the price and terms for access to natural gas pipeline transportation. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s regulations for interstate natural gas transmission in some circumstances may also affect the intrastate transportation of natural gas.



Although natural gas prices are currently unregulated, Congress historically has been active in the area of natural gas regulation. We cannot predict whether new legislation to regulate natural gas might be proposed, what proposals, if any, might actually be enacted by Congress or the various state legislatures, and what effect, if any, the proposals might have on the operations of the underlying properties. Sales of condensate and natural gas liquids are not currently regulated and are made at market prices.



State Regulation. Wyoming regulates the drilling for, and the production, gathering and sale of, natural gas, including imposing severance and conservation taxes and requirements for obtaining drilling permits. Wyoming currently imposes a severance tax on natural gas producers at the rate of 6% of the value of the gross product extracted. Reduced rates may apply to certain types of wells and production methods, such as new wells, renewed wells, stripper production and tertiary production.



Wyoming also regulates the method of developing fields, the spacing and operation of wells and the prevention of waste of natural gas resources. States do not regulate wellhead prices or engage in other similar direct economic regulation, but there can be no assurance that they will not do so in the future. The effect of these regulations may be to limit the amounts of natural gas that may be produced from our wells, and to limit the number of wells or locations we can drill.

National Environmental Policy Act. Natural gas exploration and production activities on federal lands are subject to the National Environmental Policy Act, or NEPA. NEPA requires federal agencies, including the Department of Interior, to evaluate major agency actions having the potential to significantly impact the environment. In the course of such evaluations, an agency will prepare an Environmental Assessment that assesses the potential direct, indirect and cumulative impacts of a proposed project and, if necessary, will prepare a more detailed Environmental Impact Statement that may be made available for public review and comment. All of our current exploration and production activities, as well as proposed exploration and development plans, on federal lands require governmental permits that are subject to the requirements of NEPA. This process has the potential to delay the development of natural gas projects.



Pipeline Safety. Pipelines are subject to regulation by the U.S. Department of Transportation, or the DOT, pursuant to the Hazardous Liquid Pipeline Safety Act. The DOT, through the Office of Pipeline Safety, recently promulgated a series of rules which require pipeline operators to develop pipeline integrity management programs for transportation pipelines located in "high consequence areas." "High consequence areas" are currently defined as areas with specified population densities, buildings containing populations of limited mobility, and areas where people gather that are located along the route of a pipeline. Integrity management program elements include requirements for baseline assessments to identify potential threats to each pipeline segment, reassessments, and reporting and recordkeeping.



OSHA and Other Laws and Regulation. We are subject to the requirements of the federal Occupational Safety and Health Act, or OSHA, and comparable state statutes. These laws and the implementing regulations strictly govern the protection of the health and safety of employees. The OSHA hazard communication standard, EPA community right-to-know regulations under the Title III of CERCLA and similar state statutes require that we organize and/or disclose information about hazardous materials used or produced in our operations.



The Kyoto Protocol to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, or the Protocol, became effective in February 2005. Under the Protocol, participating nations are required to implement programs to reduce emissions of certain gases, generally referred to as greenhouse gases that are suspected of contributing to global warming. T he United States is not currently a participant in the Protocol, and Congress has not actively considered recent proposed legislation directed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Other states have also adopted legislation addressing greenhouse gas emissions from various sources, primarily power plants. The natural gas industry is a direct source of certain greenhouse gas emissions, namely carbon dioxide and methane, and future restrictions on such emissions could impact our future operations. It is not possible, at this time, to estimate accurately how regulations that may be adopted to address greenhouse gas emissions would impact our business.



We are not aware of any environmental issues or claims that will require material capital expenditure. However, accidental spills or releases may occur in the course of our operations, and we cannot assure that we will not incur substantial costs and liabilities as a result of such spills or releases, including those relating to claims for damage to property and persons. Moreover, we cannot assure that the passage of more stringent laws or regulations in the future will not have a negative impact on our business, financial condition, and results of operations.



Other Regulation of the Natural Gas Industry



The natural gas industry is extensively regulated by numerous federal, state and local authorities. Legislation affecting the natural gas industry is under constant review for amendment or expansion, frequently increasing the regulatory burden. Also, numerous departments and agencies, both federal and state, are authorized by statute to issue rules and regulations binding on the natural gas industry and its individual members, some of which carry substantial penalties for failure to comply. Although the regulatory burden on the natural gas industry increases the cost of doing business and, consequently, affects profitability, these burdens generally will not affect us any differently or to any greater or lesser extent than they affect other companies in the industry with similar types, quantities and locations of production.



Our operations are subject to various types of regulation at federal, state and local levels. These types of regulation include requiring permits for the drilling of wells, drilling bonds and reports concerning operations. Most states, and some counties and municipalities regulate one or more of the following:






These laws, rules and regulations may also restrict the rate of natural gas production below the rate that would otherwise be possible. The regulatory burden on the natural gas industry increases the cost of doing business in the industry and consequently affects profitability. Additionally, Congress and federal and state agencies frequently revise environmental laws and regulations, and the clear trend in environmental regulation is to place more restrictions and limitations on activities that may affect the environment. Any changes that result in more stringent and costly waste handling, disposal and cleanup requirements for the natural gas industry could have a significant impact on our operating costs.



The following is a summary of some of the existing laws, rules and regulations to which our business operations are subject.



Waste Handling. The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, or RCRA, and comparable state statutes, regulate the generation, transportation, treatment, storage, disposal and cleanup of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes. Under the auspices of the federal Environmental Protection Agency, or EPA, the individual states administer some or all of the provisions of RCRA, sometimes in conjunction with their own, more stringent requirements. Drilling fluids, produced waters, and most of the other wastes associated with the exploration, development, and production of crude oil or natural gas are currently regulated under RCRA’s non-hazardous waste provisions. However, it is possible that certain natural gas exploration and production wastes now classified as non-hazardous could be classified as hazardous wastes in the future. Any such change could result in an increase in our costs to manage and dispose of wastes, which could have a material adverse effect on our results of operations and financial position. Also, in the course of our operations, we generate some amounts of ordinary industrial wastes, such as paint wastes, waste solvents, and waste oils, that may be regulated as hazardous wastes.



Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act. The Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act, or CERCLA, also known as the Superfund law, imposes joint and several liability, without regard to fault or legality of conduct, on classes of persons who are considered to be responsible for the release of a hazardous substance into the environment. These persons include the current and past owner or operator of the site where the release occurred, and anyone who disposed or arranged for the disposal of a hazardous substance released at the site. Under CERCLA, such persons may be subject to joint and several liability for the costs of cleaning up the hazardous substances that have been released into the environment, for damages to natural resources and for the costs of certain health studies. In addition, it is not uncommon for neighboring landowners and other third-parties to file claims for personal injury and property damage allegedly caused by the hazardous substances released into the environment.



Water Discharges. The Federal Water Pollution Control Act, or the Clean Water Act, and analogous state laws, impose restrictions and strict controls with respect to the discharge of pollutants, including spills and leaks into waters of the United States. The discharge of pollutants into regulated waters is prohibited, except in accordance with the terms of a permit issued by EPA or an analogous state agency. Spill prevention, control, and countermeasure requirements of federal laws require appropriate containment berms and similar structures to help prevent the contamination of navigable waters in the event of a petroleum hydrocarbon tank spill, rupture, or leak. Federal and state regulatory agencies can impose administrative, civil and criminal penalties for non-compliance with discharge permits or other requirements of the Clean Water Act and analogous state laws and regulations.



Air Emissions. The Federal Clean Air Act, and comparable state laws, regulate emissions of various air pollutants through air emissions permitting programs and the imposition of other requirements. In addition, EPA has developed, and continues to develop, stringent regulations governing emissions of toxic air pollutants at specified sources. States can impose air emissions limitations that are more stringent than the federal standards imposed by EPA, and California air quality laws and regulations are in many instances more stringent than comparable federal laws and regulations. Federal and state regulatory agencies can impose administrative, civil and criminal penalties for non-compliance with air permits or other requirements of the federal Clean Air Act and associated state laws and regulations.














CBM Recovery Characteristics



The primary variables that affect recovery of CBM are coal thickness, gas content and permeability. Coal thickness refers to the actual thickness of the coal layer and is used to estimate how many tons of coal underlie a section of land. The estimate of the number of tons per section is multiplied by the estimated gas content of such lands to estimate the gas in place for the section. Gas content in coal is measured in terms of standard cubic feet per ton. Sufficient coal permeability is a prerequisite for economic gas flow rates because gas and water must be able to flow to the wellbore. Most gas and water flow through the cleats and other fractures in the coal. Cleat spacing is influenced by a variety of factors and greatly affects permeability.



CBM wells are drilled by contractors hired by the using small truck mounted water well rigs. Wells are often completed in multiple zones. The production profile for the surrounding wells shows water production for a short period of time (from 0 to 120 days) before initial gas production. The lowering of the static water level reduces the coal formation pressure and allows the gas to release from the coal and migrate to the well bore.



Water production is a function of the volume and pressure of water in the coals. Wells on the Clabaugh properties are expected to produce less water (than wells in other areas) before achieving economic gas production rates, because the de-watering at the numerous wells operated by other companies in the vicinity have reduced formation pressures. We do expect, however, that wells in other areas where we may acquire properties will have to undergo longer periods of de-watering. De-watering CBM wells in some parts of the PRB can take up to 24 months (or longer) before commercial gas production, which results in delayed cash flow and overall increased costs per Mcf of production.

Gas Gathering, Transport and Compression



Natural gas produced from Clabaugh Ranch are first gathered through a low pressure system built by the working interest owners. There is a 12" trunk line which runs basically South to North down the center of the property; each individual well produces laterally into this trunk line. The trunk line then runs north about a mile where it delivers into the low pressure side of Big Horn Gas Gathering’s line. Big Horn has a gathering service contract, which provides low pressure gathering and compression. This first stage of gathering, by Wyoming law, is not a cost that is borne by the royalty and ORRIs and is therefore paid by the working interest owners. The low pressure gathering then delivers into the Big Horn Gas Gathering high pressure system. Big Horn delivers the gas into the Fort Union Gathering system at high pressure, about 1,100 lbs. Then transportation provided by Copano, an affiliate of Big Horn Gas Gathering, to deliver the natural gas to Glenrock, Wyoming a liquid marketing point. For the fiscal year ended 2012, these services cost the Company approximately $0.98/mcf.



Environmental Matters and Regulation



General. Our operations are subject to stringent and complex federal, state and local laws and regulations governing environmental protection as well as the discharge of materials into the environment. These laws and regulations may, among other things:






from a coal seam. In a process known as dewatering a submersible pump is set below the coal seam, and the water column is pumped down, reducing the pressure in the coals. As pressure in the coal bed formation is reduced, CBM is released through a process called desorption. CBM then moves into naturally occurring cracks, or cleats, in the coal, and then to the well bore. Cleats are natural fractures which have formed in the coals, when they were formed and ages of geological stresses. The cleats are generally filled with water, so the static water level above the coal must be reduced, which then lowers the reservoir pressure allowing desorption to occur. Thus, unlike producing from a conventional natural gas reservoir, reservoir pressure in a coal bed formation must generally be reduced to allow for production of CBM. Because of the necessity to remove water and reduce the pressure within the coal seam, CBM, unlike conventional hydrocarbons, often will not show immediately on initial production testing. Coal bed formations typically require extensive depressurization through dewatering before desorption can occur and the methane begins to flow at commercial rates.



Drilling and Production



CBM wells in the Powder River Basin are drilled with small truck mounted rig drilling through the base of the Fort Union Coals and then setting casing and cementing the well to the surface. The coal bed seams are then completed by perforating the casing at the target coal (or coals). Once the production casing has been cemented, the perforations and coal face is then cleaned out and flushed by pumping water at high rates into the coal seam. Once the well is completed, a submersible pump is run into the well on production tubing to pump produced water from the coal seam. As the coal dewaters, gas flows up the casing to the surface. At the wellhead, the gas and water are metered. The gas then flows to a central compressor station where it is compressed into a high-pressure pipeline for sale. The water is gathered through a pipeline for disposal. CBM production generally is continuous to ensure a constant low-pressure natural gas and water flow and to sustain a commercially viable operation.



We intend to use drilling, completion and production practices that utilize technological advances in cementing, multiple zone completions and programmable submersible pumps. These techniques minimize damage to coal zones, preserve the potential of coals behind pipe, and reduce cementing costs. Multiple zone completions allow for the successful perforation of multiple zones which reduces capital costs over the life of the wells. Programmable submersible pumps and telemetry provide efficient means to best manage production and detect problems on a real time basis.



Conventional gas wells are typically 8,000 to 20,000 feet deep and initially produce large volumes of gas relative to water. Natural gas normally does not require assistance to move to the surface, and over time, gas production declines and water production may increase. In contrast, CBM wells generally range from 300 to 4,000 feet. Our wells will be drilled to about 1,500 feet. In the early stages of CBM production, large quantities of water and low quantities of gas are produced. Water production is initiated to lower the down hole pressure which allows the methane to release from the coal. The water volumes eventually decline and gas quantities begin to rise. In most cases, assistance to bring the gas to surface is not needed for the final period of production.



Water Production and Management



Water production and disposal is a key issue in CBM development. CBM-produced water in Wyoming (whether from wells on fee State or BLM land) must have a beneficial use, which is generally defined as suitable for agricultural, irrigation, commercial, domestic, industrial, municipal, mining, hydropower production, recreational, stock watering and fisheries, wildlife and wetlands maintenance, or dust suppression. Currently, the management of CBM-produced water depends on the quality of the produced water. The water produced in CBM operations can vary from very high quality (potable, meaning that it meets state and federal drinking standards), to very low quality (having a very high concentration of dissolved solids, like sodium, making it unsuitable for reuse). Testing of the produced water determines the disposal method.



Produced water is handled by utilizing one or several of the following regulatory-approved methods: Surface discharge (to creeks and streams); containment in ponds; irrigation of surface lands; injection to shallow sand formations; enhanced evaporation systems; treatment through ion exchange or reverse osmosis; and/or sub-surface irrigation. The Clabaugh Ranch wells produce potable water. Pursuant to a surface and damage agreement between the operator, and the surface owner of the Fee acreage, a subsurface water collection system has been installed, which collects water from the wells and delivers it to two surface stations. From the stations, water is fed into an underground water drip disposal system. Water seeps into a shallow (above the first coal seam) alluvial sand formation. This process has been approved by Wyoming, as the properties have been shown (by drilling and analysis) to be capable of holding the water indefinitely.

Overview



Our activity to date has been centered around the Clabaugh Ranch Field, a project developing coal bed methane reserves (CBM) located in the Powder River Basin of Wyoming. We acquired our interest in the field in August 2010 and the field currently has 42 drilled coal bed methane wells which produce approximately 1,000 to 800 MCFD. The target coal formations are part of the Tongue River Member of the Fort Union formation and all of the wells drilled have encountered developed coal seams in the Warner, Upper and Lower Smith, Wyodak/Anderson Lower, Gates and Wall formations. Well log analysis demonstrates gross pay zones of approximately 150-200 feet in the drilled wells of which the most significant being the Warner, Wyodak/Andersen, and Gates coals.



We believe these multiple coal zones will be valuable. Pursuant to approval from the Wyoming Oil and Gas Commission (the "WOGC"), gas production is comingled from three coals in the producing wells: the Upper and Lower Smith, and the Wyodak/Anderson Lower. When water levels from these coal seams subside, the intention is to perforate other behind pipe coal seams and begin producing from those coals as well. Using the same well bores and capital equipment (pumps, electricity, water and natural gas gathering systems) we expect will result in lower total development and operating costs per Mcf for the properties. We also expect cumulative recovery by simultaneous multiple seam production to be greater than single seam production and result in lower per Mcf operating costs and longer well lives.



The coal seams in the Powder River Basin that are targeted have been extensively mapped as a result of a variety of natural resource developments that have occurred in the region. Industry data from many wellbores drilled by others allows us to determine the extent, thickness, gas saturation, formation pressure and relative permeability of the coal seams. This reduces (but does not entirely eliminate) the risk of drilling unproductive wells, but there is extensive CBM production in the Basin.



Gas production from CBM wells usually is accompanied by production of significant volumes of water from the coals. Water quality varies with the chemical composition of the rocks in which the coals are embedded. Depending on water quality, and local land conditions and regulations, water disposal can be a relatively expensive cost of production. Disposal methods range from reinjection, treatment plants (reverse osmosis or ion exchange), and impoundment systems (ponds) to evaporation sprinklers, irrigation and surface disposal.



A subsurface irrigation system has been installed for water produced from the the Clabaugh properties. Water from the wells (which is potable) is piped to an underground system of dispersal pipes where water seeps down into the alluvial till just below the ground surface. This technique (originally developed as an underground irrigation method - designed to limit evaporation) has been approved by the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality for use where core drilling shows the subsurface can hold the water. This method is much less expensive than treating the water, and avoids overflow issues associated with impoundment ponds. See "Water Production and Management," below.



Under an industry standard operating agreement, Mountain Hawk Energy, LLC conducts all drilling, completion, and production activities on the Clabaugh Ranch properties. Under terms of the Joint Operating Agreements ("JOA"), Mountain Hawk is reimbursed for third party drilling, completion, and related field expenses. The JOA agreements contain industry standard COPAS (Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies) accounting practices, which allow Mountain Hawk as operator to collect a fee of $1,250 per well while drilling, and approximately $445 per month as overhead reimbursement per producing well. In 2012 these COPAS the Company’s share of these charges totaled $6,171.51.

CBM is natural gas that is trapped within buried coal and is stored, or adsorbed, onto the internal surfaces of the coal face. Geologists have long known that coal was the source for natural gas found in many conventional accumulations, but coal beds were not targeted for production due to high water content and minimal natural gas production. Following a West Virginia mine explosion in 1968, the U.S. Bureau of Mines began to examine ways of removing methane from coal prior to mining. The Bureau of Mines demonstrated that CBM can be produced when large volumes of water are pumped

If you read through our articles regularly, you would probably know that when we are covering a penny stock promotion, we regularly include the chart of a company that has been pumped in the past and has failed to live up to the excitement created by the emails. Since 1st NRG Corp. (PINK:FNRC, FNRC message board) have been among the most heavily promoted companies over the last couple of months, their stock performance has been discussed many times on these pages. Now that there's a new promotional effort for them, we're about to do it again.
Let's start with the history so far. The pumps for FNRC have been quite a lot and we're not really sure which is the one that infuriated investors the most. If we had to take a guess, we would probably point to the one from October 2012. All the hype made the price nudge $0.50 per share, however, it was extremely short lived and as soon as the emails stopped, FNRC embarked on a downward slope that they have been following ever since. After the October massacre, we saw promotional emails in November, December, February and all they did was accelerate the fall ever further. With that in mind, we're struggling to see how Club Penny Stocks who have taken up today's promotion will be able to lift the stock on their own

The interesting thing is, FNRC are not like most of the oil and gas exploration companies that we cover in our articles. When we're doing a research on similar ventures, we most often see some big zeros under the revenues section in their reports. FNRC are a bit different. While it's not a lot, they have registered $28 thousand in sales over the fiscal 2012. Unfortunately, this is the only pleasant surprise that we got from their financial statement. Here are the rest of the figures as of December 31, 2012:
•cash: $1,616
•total assets: $17 million
•total liabilities: $6 million
•net loss: $880 thousand

We know what you're thinking: "$17 million in assets! That's huge!". Indeed, it is. However, about $14 million of those assets consist of restricted cash. We wrote about that amount in our previous articles, and we were rather annoyed by the fact that FNRC were not willing to disclose any details about the requirements that they need to meet in order to use the money.

Today, however, they woke up early fired up their computers and wrote a press release which is supposed to give us some more information on these particular assets. The problem is, the information that they give us is not a whole lot.

We read that FNRC received the money as part of an agreement that they signed with some investors back in 2011. The investors bought some preferred shares and from what we can understand, FNRC will get the cash only if the preferred shareholders are able to convert their stock to common shares at favorable conditions. FNRC's performance so far has not allowed them to do so and today's announcement reveals that FNRC are negotiating changes in the terms of the agreement. In plain English, FNRC will try to convince the holders of the preferred stock that it's wise to convert it into common shares so that they can release the $14 million.

On the one hand this will mean that FNRC will have funds to finance their operations, but on the other it will create some massive dilution for the long-term shareholders. And with so many common shares about to be issued in exchange for the preferred stock, there will be quite a lot of profit to be made in case the pump works out and the price surges once again. What will be the result of that? FNRC's chart for the last six months illustrates it pretty well.

kommt dann eine gute news, machen wir ein sprung

Besser sollte man sich von solchen Teilen schnell trennen,wenns abwärts geht.Ist aber nicht einfach(Verlust).Hier ist große Unterstützung zwischen 0,002-0,0025.Float 70M! Kann schnell gehen.
