The Board of Platypus Minerals Ltd (ASX:PLP)(“Platypus” or “Company”) is pleased to
announcethat Lepidico Ltd (“Lepidico”) has entered into a binding option agreement (“Agreement”) that gives it the right to acquire up to a 75% interest in the Lemare lith

      Short Extension to Exclusivity Period
 Exclusivity Period extended by 14 days to 14 March 2016
The Board of Platypus Minerals Ltd (ASX:PLP) (“Platypus” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce it has
signed a short extension to the Exclusivity Period agreed with lithium focused Lepidico Ltd (“Lepidico”).
The Exclusivity Period has been extended by 14 days to 5:00 pm on 14 March 2016. The extension will
allow Platypus and Lepidico to finalise mutual due diligence, to further progress their discussions regarding
the structure of a potential transaction for Platypus to acquire Lepidico or its assets, and to obtain an
opinion from ASX on proposed terms. Platypus and Lepidico hope to finalise their mutual due diligence and
terms before the expiry of the extension period and will keep the market informed in that regard.
To date, mutual due diligence investigations have been positive and discussions between Platypus and
Lepidico on a transaction structure have been friendly and constructive.
      About Lepidico Ltd
Lepidico is a public unlisted lithium-focussed company with a growing exploration portfolio that includes
the Euriowie project bear Broken Hill in NSW ; an option over the Lemare project in the James Bay region of
Quebec, Canada; and a Brazil-wide strategic joint venture agreement with Crusader Resources Limited
(ASX:CAS) that includes the Manga prospect. Lepidico also owns the “L-Max” technology, a metallurgical
process that extracts lithium from non-conventional sources, specifically Li-rich mica minerals such as
lepidolite and zinnwaldite. Lepidico has already granted its first licence of the technology to Lithium
Australia NL (ASX:LIT). Lepidico’s largest shareholders are Strategic Metallurgy Pty Ltd and Potash West Ltd
      (ASX:PWN).
Lepidico is actively seeking to grow its ground position and explore for lithium bearing minerals that have
previously been overlooked with the goal of using L-Max to extract lithium chemicals for the burgeoning
      electric battery market.
      About Platypus Minerals Ltd
Platypus Minerals Ltd (ASX:PLP) is a Perth-based company that is dedicated to the exploration and
development of mineral projects prospective for copper, gold and other strategic metals including lithium
in both Australia and in stable jurisdictions overseas. The focus is on projects that exhibit proven
mineralisation, are under-explored, and have the potential to generate large economic deposits and deliver
      returns to shareholders.
In late 2015 Platypus announced its intention to focus on its current assets in the Pearl Bar -Gobbos area
whilst also initiating an entry into the lithium sector, and since then has been seeking and screening
      potential lithium opportunities globally.

      Announcement vom 4.3
As per our recent response to a volume query from the ASX on 25 February 2016, we again state that while Platypus is not aware of any specific explanation for the recent increase in the pricein its securitieson 4 March 2016, it is relevant to note a number of pertinent facts disclosed to the marketin the past month, subsequent to whichthe Company’s securities have seenanincrease bothin price andtradedvolume.
As announcedon1 February 2016, Platypus initiated its entry into the lithium sector by signing a 1 month exclusivity agreement with Lepidico Ltd (“Lepidico”), a public unlisted lithium exploration companyand owner of the L-Max technology, a metallurgical process for the extraction of lithium from non-conventional sources, specifically, lithium-rich micas such as lepidolite and zinnwaldite. Lepidico’s current exploration portfolio includes an option over the Lemare project in the James Bay area of Quebec, Canada, the Euriowie exploration licence application near Broken Hill in NSW and a memorandum of understanding with Crusader Resources Ltd to jointly seek to exploit lithium resources in Brazil through a 50:50 strategic joint venture. Platypus informed the market of these matters on 3 February 2016,12 February 2016 and in response to the previous volume query on 25 February 2016. In addition, Platypus continues to seek out additional lithium exploration opportunities in its own right, both locally and internationally.
On 19 February 2016, Platypus announced results of its initial due diligence on Lepidico’s Euriowie project comprising a site visit by Platypus staff, reporting excellent lithium results peaking at 4.45% Li2O from outcropping pegmatites rich in amblygonite, a lithium phosphate mineral that cancontain up to 10.1% Li2O.
In regard to the Lemare project, it is relevant to note the strategic location of that project in the James Bay area of Quebec, an area that hosts several significant lithium resources held by other parties, includingASX-listedGalaxy Resourcesand Canadian companiesCritical Elements Corporation and Nemaska Lithium. Lemare itself hosts an undrilled spodumene pegmatite with up to 12 m @ 1.96% Li2O from trench sampling and provides an immediate exploration focus.
The lithium sector is strongly supported by the market at the moment with a number of recent entrants, holdingexploration stage assets, with a market capitalisation well above that of Platypus. These include Ardiden Ltd (ASX:ADV; $18M market cap), Dakota Minerals Ltd
      L1, 254 Railway Parade, West Leederville WA 6007|PO Box 1245, West Leederville WA 6901 T: +61 8 9363 7800| e:office@platypusminerals.com.au |www.platypusminerals.com.au
      (ASX:DKO; $15M) andMetalicity Limited (ASX:MCT; $29M). At the closing price on of 2.0c on 4 March2016, Platypus’s market capitalisation was $11M.
Finally, theoriginal1 month exclusivity period with Lepidico, mentioned above, and which expiredon 29 February 2016, was extended by mutual agreement between Lepidico and Platypus by 14 days to 14 March 2016(as announced on 29 February 2016),so that both parties could finalise mutual due diligence and progress discussions onapotentialtransaction by which Platypus would acquire Lepidico or its assets. As previously advised, whiletransaction discussions have progressed, no deal terms have been concluded. However,Platypus and Lepidico hope to finalise their mutual duediligence and terms before the expiry of the extension period and will keep the market informed in that regard.

      Anbei eine Gute Zusammenfassung

      Quelle: Hotcopper

ok I will give a summary of what has been discussed and the likely hood of what the agreement will entail when it is announced. if im wrong on any of the details please correct me. also this is all in my own opinion please don't base my research on your decision to invest in PLP, dyor please.

      - there is currently three times as many buyers as there are sellers 133 to 45
      - the 52 week low price was 0.004 its now at 2c, a 52 week high (5 bagger so far)
      - on the 11/12 three directors all brought up a large amount of shares with there sights firmly focused on the lucrative lithium sector.
      - on the 8/1/15 PLP wisely imo terminates its copper agreement with Peru project to seek alternative opportunities in lithium both in Australia and internationally.

      - 1/2/2016 PLP sign one month mou with LEPIDICO

Lepidico is actively pursuing global lithium project acquisitions and Joint Venture opportunities and is currently in advanced discussions with a number of parties to secure additional projects.

      ● Lepidico is also the 100% owner and licensor of the L-Max technology, a proprietary metallurgical process that has the potential to commercially extract lithium and other byproducts from unconventional sources at a competitive cost.
      ● The L-Max technology delivers a potential opportunity to create a third supply source of lithium, namely the largely overlooked lithium-bearing micas such as lepidolite and zinnwaldite.

      - so PLP will have the patented technology to use its self or to licence out to other miners for a royalty fee $$$

      - also upon completion of buying Lepidico or assets we should receive the Eurowie project in broken hills nsw also
*Lepidico is a public unlisted lithium exploration company and through its wholly owned subsidiary Mica Exploration Areas Pty Ltd, holds an application for an Exploration Licence (ELA 5234) over the Euriowie Prospect near Broken Hill, NSW. Lepidico is also actively pursuing other lithium project acquisitions and joint venture opportunities and is currently in advanced discussions with a number of parties to secure
additional projects rich in lithium micas.

      - but there's more, one of Lepidico's assets is also the deal with crusader resources to exploit brazil lithium on a 50/50 basis joint venture.

so in summary if all goes to plan PLP should get the following
      1. Lepidico and perhaps some key staff and directors also.

      2. joint venture with crusader resources on brazil on a 50/50 basis

      3. Euriowie project in broken hills with rich lithium prospects that can be exploited using the new L - max tech

      4. own 100% L - max tech that PLP can use itself and also license out to other lithium miners for royalty fees ( this is huge and could be the game changer, big $$$$. imagine some of the biggest lithium miners globally having to pay PLP to use our 100% owned tech to use lithium they were previously not able to use.

      5. other potential deals Lepidico may have signed both in Australia or globally that PLP may now also acquire.

5 bagger so far very exciting times ahead, another 5 bagger at least imo

      Dear Sir/Madam

      REQUEST FOR TRADING HALT

Pursuant to Listing Rule 17.1, Platypus Minerals Ltd (“Company;” ASX codes: PLP, PLPO)
requests an immediate trading halt in its securities be granted by ASX.

      b) the trading halt is to last until the earlier of the Company releasing an announcement or

      5/3
      ganz einfach

      With L-Max:
The costs are fluid, it depends on the price of the byproducts, and reagent consumption, concentrate purity, concentrate grade.

They have stated that for Cinovéc it was $1500/t in the scoping study but subject to a whole bunch of other stuff.

      With SiLeach:
We have no idea for Spodumene, which is why it was a brown number, but given that spodumene concentrate is 2-3% higher grade feed, that's why i estimated say $1,000/t. But byproducts are fewer unless they can crack the sapphire feed market with the aluminosilicate, though potentially the aluminium will dissolve. We just dont know yet.

ziemliches durcheinander wenn ihr mich fragt

Platypus (PLP) has now completed its due diligence and purchased Lepidico, owner of the L-Max technolgy, plus a number global lithium exploration leases and JV's (including Brazil, Quebec, NSW and WA). Lepidico is 13% owned by PWN, with the remainder owned by unlisted Strategic Metalurgy. Both PWN and Strategic share office with LIT. Gary Johnston is a major share owner of PWN and owner of Strategic and will control PLP by virtue of the direct (Strategic) and indirect shares (PWN) he will acquire in the transaction. He will also be a director of PLP. Adrian Griffin LIT CEO is also director of PWN and owns about 8% of PWN and will have an indirect interest and some control in PLP through his PWN holding

      Anbei eine Info zu L-Max

      L-Max® Technology
Currently, the majority of the world’s lithium is produced from either brines or hard rock spodumene. L-Max® is a hydrometallurgical process developed, and 100% owned, by Lepidico that delivers an opportunity to create a third supply source of lithium from unconventional sources, namely lithium bearing micas such as lepidolite and zinnwaldite. Although there are a number of known deposits of lithium bearing micas around the world, these materials have typically been overlooked as a source of lithium as there has been no commercial process available to economically extract the contained lithium and produce a product, such as lithium carbonate or lithium hydroxide, that is suitable for end users.
Lepidico has lodged a global patent application covering the L-Max® process which is potentially a key to unlocking the value in lithium micas that could see commercial projects developed from what was previously regarded as waste.
L-Max® is a hydrometallurgical process involving the direct atmospheric leaching of lithium mica, followed by impurity removal stages, and subsequent lithium carbonate precipitation. The process also results in the production of potassium- and rare metal-containing byproducts, which will significantly offset the operating costs of lithium carbonate production.
The process differs considerably from the processing of spodumene, which requires high temperature decrepitation and sulfate roasting prior to lithium recovery. The novel L-Max® process is simpler and is expected to have lower energy requirements than existing lithium recovery processes.
The L-Max® process has been tested in a series of batch laboratory tests, including using material sourced by Lithium Australia NL (ASX:LIT) from Lepidolite Hill and by European Metals Holdings Ltd (ASX:EMH) from the Cinovec project in the Czech Republic.
The metallurgical test work has demonstrated the viability of producing battery grade lithium carbonate (99.5% purity) and potassium containing fertiliser from the Li-mica feed material.
The L-Max® process uses mainstream industrial chemicals namely, sulfuric acid and lime/limestone. These are cheap and readily available tonnage chemicals that are the
      16
cornerstone of large-scale chemical processing. L-Max® does not use expensive, specialised reagents that may be difficult to obtain, expensive to procure, or complex in operation. The use of cheap, readily available reagents does not necessitate their recovery or recycling, thus further enhancing the economics of the process.
As part of its exploration strategy, Lepidico has commissioned and received several geological reports to assist in the identification of targets that have the potential to host commercial quantities of lithium bearing micas and associated lithium minerals.
With the use of its L-Max® technology, Lepidico is seeking to unlock the potential value of such lithium bearing mica deposits. Lepidico is actively exploring opportunities to apply LMax® directly to:
 Brownfields Projects: There are existing mining projects around the world that currently have lithium bearing micas being passed through to waste dumps or tailings dams. Lithium bearing micas can be effectively concentrated by flotation, which would allow the L-Max® process to be utilised to produce lithium products (and other by-products) from a source that has previously been deemed to be of no value.
 Greenfields Projects: There has been limited exploration to date relating to specifically identifying deposits of lithium bearing micas. These micas typically occur in pegmatites, often in association with other lithium, tin or tantalum containing ores.
Lepidico has also lodged an Australian Provisional Patent Application 2016900582 for the extraction and recovery of lithium chemicals from lithium phosphate minerals such as amblygonite and montebrasite. As with lithium bearing micas, these lithium-phosphate minerals are unconventional sources of lithium.
As part of the preparation of the provisional patent, Lepidico conducted testwork on a sample of amblygonite-rich rock sourced from the Euriowie project. In the testwork, lithium was readily extracted from the sample by leaching in sulfuric acid under atmospheric conditions. Subsequent processing steps that form part of the patent application, proved effective in separating lithium from impurities, with the resultant liquor being amenable to lithium carbonate precipitation.
This novel process is complementary to the L-Max® process. However, this process is inherently unique with respect to L-Max® due to the differences in the feed composition and subsequent processing steps to separate lithium from the impurities.

      Info zum Crusader JV

Agreement with Crusader Resources Limited (ASX: CAS)
On 3 February 2016, Crusader Resources Limited (ASX:CAS) (Crusader) announced to the market that Crusader and Lepidico signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) outlining the formation of an incorporated joint venture with the aim to commercialise lithium projects in Brazil (JV). The JV will have the exclusive rights to use the L-Max® technology in Brazil with the strategy to develop and hold a portfolio of royalty interests from sublicensing the technology in addition to deploying it for Crusader’s Manga prospect.
Subsequently, on 19 April the Company announced that Lepidico and Crusader had entered into a formal shareholders agreement for the formation of the JV company.
For Lepidico, the JV presents an opportunity to expand its exploration activities into Brazil with a well established in-country partner and the potential to unlock significant value through the application of its L-Max® technology.

The primary assets of the JV company will be:
      (i) the Manga Lithium Project, 100% owned by Crusader and which will be transferred to the JV company;
(ii) all other lithium projects as identified, licensed and/or acquired within Brazil from the date of the MOU; and
(iii) an exclusive licence of Lepidico’s L-Max® technology for any new projects in Brazil.

The relative equity ownership of the JV company will be:  Crusader 50% (and operator); and  Lepidico 50%
The JV remains subject to the execution of mutually agreed definitive agreements to formalise the terms of the MOU.

      hab das total überlesen...

Everybody should read the minutes for the NOTICE OF GENERAL MEETING called for 30/05/2016.

Looks like the CR has been postponed until this meeting date and IMO the new date [ i.e. Record Date ] will be somewhere around 22nd June 2016.

See clause 1.2.2 [ C ] the raising is conditional on certain conditions being met, and clause 1.2.5 Capital Raising, then go to sub clause a, b, and c, explains the data for the Capital Raising.

Pirra really excited with PLP, as bought a big heap @ $0.007c back early in January .

So, we all have plenty of time to be on the register imho, in lieu of any further commitment from PLP on the CR. The share price could wander up and down during the next few weeks but the opportunity to get a 3 for 5 issue @ $0.01c is a great incentive to hold, anyway

Receipt of Unsolicited Intention to make a takeover offer

Lepidico Ltd (ASX:LPD) (“Lepidico” or “the Company”) has become aware through an announcement
to the ASX dated 6 February 2017 that Lithium Australia NL (ASX:LIT) (“Lithium Australia”) intends
to make an unsolicited, conditional offer to purchase all of the fully paid ordinary shares in Lepidico
      (“Announcement”).

The Board of Lepidico is considering its response to the Announcement. Lepidico shareholders are
advised to Take No Action in relation to the Announcement or any document received from Lithium
Australia in relation to the proposed takeover offer until they receive the Directors’ formal

.......Finally, LIT intends to make a conditional off-market scrip bid valued at $23.8 million for all fully paid shares for fellow WA lithium explorer and developer Lipidico (ASX:LPD). LIT hopes that by combining the companies, it can bring LIT’s Sileach process and LPD’s L-Max process together under common ownership, essentially giving it the opportunity to offer a wide range of lithium technology solutions to meet specific demands and optimise emerging commercial opportunities for lithium projects worldwide.

I am that bloody confident in this company that after the shenanigans of last week I've departed (and banked good profits) in most of my other holdings to jump full steam ahead on LPD.

In my experience a lot of people/companies proclaim to be on a winner and yet fall flat before any major developments, thus giving the spec title it's place in time. I reckon this will be different!

I have to thank LIT for giving me the confidence to purchase more LPD throughout the week (mind you it's the only thing I wish to thank them for).

I'm sure this is only the beginning and I am happy as a pig in mud to hold/follow through the developments.

I've been following in the shadows for quite a while and I have to say big up's to the regular contributors here, in particular as you would all appreciate Welsho54; Awesome the amount of time and effort you place here.

Good luck to all holders; correction even more luck!
