For the second year in a row, Best Buy finished as the top fundraising partner in the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® Thanks and Giving® campaign, raising more than $20 million to help fight childhood cancer and other diseases.

“Best Buy’s extraordinary dedication to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital during the holiday season has led to more than $20 million in donations to support our mission of finding cures and saving children,” said Richard Shadyac Jr., President and CEO of ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. “We are so appreciative of Best Buy’s support which enables St. Jude to continue groundbreaking research and treatment while keeping our founding promise that no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.”

“The generosity of our customers and employees really makes a difference,” said Laura Bishop, Best Buy’s chief corporate responsibility and sustainability officer. “When a child is facing a health crisis, a family’s world can turn upside down. St. Jude ensures that parents can focus on helping their child get well. We are proud to be a part of that.”

Best Buy joined the Thanks and Giving® campaign five years ago and, by accepting donations in-store and online, has raised nearly $60 million to support St. Jude.

About St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital:
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. It is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children.
