Vienna - The A1 Telekom Austria Group (VSE: TKA, OTC US: TKAGY) announces that,
Thomas Arnoldner (40) will be nominated as new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) by
the two main shareholders, América Móvil and Österreichische Bundes- und
Industriebeteiligungen GmbH (ÖBIB).

Since Wolfgang Ruttenstorfer has announced he will resign as Chairman of the
Supervisory Board effective after the upcoming annual general assembly, ÖBIB and
América Móvil have also reported to the Supervisory Board the nomination of
Edith Hlawati, Bettina Glatz-Kremsner and Daniela Lecuona as new members of the
Supervisory Board at the upcoming annual general assembly on 30 May 2018.
Subject to the approval of the Supervisory Board, Edith Hlawati shall be elected
Chair of the Supervisory Board.

The appointment of Thomas Arnoldner will be resolved by a Supervisory Board
meeting to be held after the annual general assembly. He is expected to take
office on 1 September 2018. The Board of Directors of Telekom Austria AG will
again consist of three members as of 1 September 2018: Thomas Arnoldner (CEO),
Alejandro Plater (COO) and Siegfried Mayrhofer (CFO).
