California Manufacturing Company Selects NGC’s Andromeda PLM and SCM for Flexible Solution That Improves Speed to Market and Efficiency
New Generation Computing, Inc. (“NGC”), a leading provider of cloud-based solutions for product lifecycle management (PLM), supply chain management (SCM), quality control and vendor compliance, today announced that California Manufacturing Company selected the Andromeda Cloud Platform from NGC Software. California Manufacturing Company will implement the NGC Andromeda PLM and Andromeda SCM solutions for both the Canyon Guide Outfitters and Dakota Grizzly brands, providing the company with an integrated, seamless solution for all its lines of business.
Based in St. Louis, California Manufacturing Company is a privately owned, third-generation producer of outerwear, sportswear and uniforms. California Manufacturing Company outgrew its homegrown solution and needed innovative technology that would enable the company to scale its business and accelerate time to market.
California Manufacturing Company needed a PLM and SCM solution that could provide the configurability and flexibility required. After an extensive evaluation, California Manufacturing Company selected NGC’s Andromeda PLM and SCM solutions because of their flexibility and advanced features, combined with the industry knowledge and experience of NGC’s team.
“Andromeda gives us all the features we need — product development, P.O. management, production tracking, logistics, vendor collaboration and workflow management,” said Greg Bailey, CIO, California Manufacturing Company. “With Andromeda, it’s one-stop shopping that takes product development all the way from inspiration of the product, to fit and distribution.”
The NGC team’s expertise was also an important factor in the selection. “NGC knew exactly what we were looking for and understood our business from our first contact,” Bailey said. “We didn’t get that from the other solution providers, and it was definitely a plus for NGC. They’re a strong fit with our culture and the way that California Manufacturing Company does business."
“NGC is excited to work with California Manufacturing Company,” said Mark Burstein, president, NGC. “Our Andromeda solution will have a quick impact on improving the company’s productivity and efficiency.”
