The Swiss based battery producer, iQ International AG (ISIN CH0451424300 / WKN A2PAA5 / Symbol IQL), has received strong demand for its batteries to be used in one of the most demanding applications for a battery, the Middle East taxi fleet. Six taxi companies in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have expanded their use of iQ's batteries. Sales in the region to this market segment are estimated to grow by 150% in the coming year. The taxi market in this region where temperatures reach over 115F (46°C) regularly is very hard on batteries. The batteries with iQ's 360° Electrolyte Mixing clearly outperformed all battery brands previously used for this application. Test results led directly to increased battery orders by multiple taxi companies, including to the government owned fleet, Dubai Taxi Company, whom recently adopted iQ batteries as their exclusive supply for the next 2 years. Nine months into commercial supply, warranty reports from the customers in the UAE have now been compiled and the warranty number for iQ's batteries containing our 360° Electrolyte Mixing technology is between 3% and 5%. iQ's customers are thrilled with these results as competitors' numbers were between 30% to 35%.
