(TSX-V: DMGI) (DMGGF:OTC US) (FRANKFURT:6AX) (“DMG” or the “Company”), a diversified blockchain and technology company, is pleased to announce that it has been engaged to host over 1,000 GPU rigs (approximately 9,000 individual GPUs) for a GPU client. DMG has been hosting GPU mining for the past 18 months with the specific goal of diversifying the Christina Lake date centre’s operations and revenue streams.

GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) mining differs from ASIC mining in that GPUs can be used to mine multiple alternative cryptocurrencies (i.e. not Bitcoin) depending on the profitability of each one at any particular time. Bitcoin can only be mined profitably using ASICs (Application Specific Integration Circuit) equipment. DMG focuses primarily on bitcoin mining and bitcoin mining clients, however GPUs are of great interest to the Company, as they can be repurposed for other non-crypto uses such as High Performance Computing (i.e. rendering and other computationally intense operations). DMG’s 25,000 square foot facility sits on 33 acres with low cost power from the Company’s 85MW substation. “The Company is exploring ways to capitalize on its flagship data centre and HPC is a great way for us to start down the road to augmenting our revenue streams to include non-crypto income,” commented Dan Reitzik, DMG’s CEO.
