Service Properties Trust Announces Annual Meeting Results and Officer Promotion

Service Properties Trust (Nasdaq: SVC) today announced the results of its 2020 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, which was held earlier today, as follows.

John L. Harrington was re-elected as an Independent Trustee. The final tabulation of the percentage of shareholders’ votes cast for this Independent Trustee is as follows:

Shareholders approved an amendment to the Company’s Declaration of Trust to provide for the annual election of all trustees beginning in 2023:

In addition, the Board of Trustees promoted Todd Hargreaves, the company's Vice President to the offices of Vice President and Chief Investment Officer. Mr. Hargreaves is also the Vice President of The RMR Group LLC and is responsible for all hospitality, office, industrial and net lease acquisitions. Prior to joining RMR in 2010, Mr. Hargreaves worked at AIG Investments, where he was responsible for life insurance and CMBS loan origination.
