Bremen, Germany, 17 August 2023: Traum-Ferienwohnungen, a leading vacation rental platform in Germany and Europe, shared that its homeowners have achieved an average return of 17X on fee paid in FY23. Notably, the top 10% of homeowners have clocked 51X returns on average on their subscription fee, while the top 25% have seen over 25 times returns. This showcases the effectiveness of Traum-Ferienwohnungen's subscription-based model, distinguishing it from the commission-based approach adopted by most of it’s the industry peers, such as Airbnb and Booking.com. With a starting annual fee of 297 euros, homeowners can reach over 45 million holiday makers annually through the platform, while enjoying complete transparency and no additional charges.
A region-wise split reveals that homeowners from Hamburg saw 22 times average return on investment, the highest in Germany. Following closely behind are the Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern regions, with 20X and 18X average returns.
Unlike other vacation rental platforms that charge homeowners a substantial commission fee on each booking, Traum-Ferienwohnungen operates on a flat annual subscription fee model which allows for more transparency and flexibility, along with several other benefits. While a majority of the big competitors typically charge homeowners an average commission fee of 15-30% per booking, Traum-Ferienwohnungen's fixed annual subscription fee enables homeowners to retain all their rental income.
Additionally, the model allows homeowners and guests to communicate directly. Homeowners can choose the guests they want to rent their homes to, and guests can share their requirements, ask questions, and get insights directly from the homeowners. This direct interaction builds trust and ensures a pleasant experience and reduces unpleasant surprises for both homeowners and guests.
