The 2.67-acre property was acquired in 2022 and opened to U-Haul customers on Aug. 7 after more than two years of renovations. Located directly across the street from U-Haul Moving & Storage of Lebanon at 1440 Cumberland St., the new facility is managed by the parent store.
A new 60,880-square-foot building offers a variety of 830 indoor self-storage units with climate-control options and high-tech security features. There is also an existing 10,683-square-foot building repurposed as a U-Box warehouse for up to 190 mobile storage containers.

The community is invited to enjoy a free catered lunch from Heisey’s Diner; receive guided facility tours; be entertained by 99.7 Wilbur Radio’s live broadcast; and register for giveaways like a U-Haul hitch package, a bike rack package, and a $200 gift certificate for general merchandise.
Lebanon Mayor Sherry Capello and local commissioners, representatives and dignitaries are expected to attend. The Lebanon Fire Department will be on site to offer safety tips and displays. Local nonprofits are also set to take part in the community day and share their missions with attendees.
Mike Zemba, U-Haul Area District Vice President, said the Company is pleased to address rising customer demand for its storage products in Lebanon County.
“Our existing self-storage has been at 100% occupancy for years,” Zemba said. “The parcel of land across from our U-Haul center was once a weaving mill. The loss of that mill to a fire years ago has allowed us to reuse the property to construct a beautiful three-story, state-of-the-art facility.”
