ENCAVIS acquires two German wind farms with a total capacity of around 59 MW

Hamburg, 24 June 2025 – The Hamburg-based wind and solar park operator Encavis AG has acquired two further wind farms from Energiequelle GmbH in Zeven (Lower Saxony) and Raßlitz (Saxony). Zeven is already in operation, and Raßlitz is nearing grid connection soon.

The wind farm in Zeven, located between Hamburg and Bremen, consists of eight Vestas V-162 wind turbines (6.0 MW) and will generate an average of around 139 gigawatt hours (GWh) of green electricity per year.

The wind farm in Raßlitz, around 35 kilometers west of Dresden, has two Enercon E-160 wind turbines, each with a generation capacity of 5.56 MW. It generates an average of around 36 GWh of electricity per year. The purchase of electricity from both wind farms is secured by an EEG feed-in tariff with a term of 20 years.

This is a further step in the successful cooperation between Encavis and Energiequelle. Just a few weeks ago, Encavis acquired a wind farm (5.6 MW) already connected to the grid in Bad Gandersheim, Lower Saxony, from Energiequelle.
