Anaergia S.r.l. to Expand and Upgrade Anaerobic Digestion Facility in Ariano nel Polesine, Italy, for Bioenerys
Anaergia Inc. (“Anaergia”, the “Company”, “us”, or “our”) (TSX:ANRG) (OTCQX:ANRGF), through its subsidiary, Anaergia S.r.l., has signed a new agreement with a subsidiary of Bioenerys. Under the terms of this agreement, Anaergia will significantly enlarge and enhance Bioenerys’ anaerobic digestion facility in Ariano nel Polesine, which is in northern Italy.
This builds upon Anaergia’s previously announced project for Bioenerys in Moglia, Italy, that involves similar facility optimizations. Like the Moglia upgrade, the Ariano nel Polesine project will increase processing capacity for agricultural residues and more than double the volume of biomethane injected into the grid, growing Bioenerys’ role as a key renewable energy provider.
Expected to be completed by the end of 2026, the Ariano nel Polesine upgrade is anticipated to generate approximately C$11 million in revenue for Anaergia.
“Anaergia’s proven technology is now to be utilized in two different plants of Bioenerys,” said Andrea Sgorbini, CEO of Bioenerys’ Agricultural Residues division. “This will strengthen Bioenerys’ role as a key provider of sustainable solutions for farmers and agricultural residue producers, while greatly boosting our renewable energy output.”
“Anaergia’s suite of proven solutions puts us in an unparalleled position to help our clients meet their objectives,” said Assaf Onn, CEO of Anaergia. “We are proud to support Bioenerys in furthering economic growth and environmental sustainability through both of these projects.”
