ISG to Study Databricks Ecosystem Service Providers
Information Services Group (ISG) (Nasdaq: III), a global AI-centered technology research and advisory firm, has launched a research study examining how Databricks service providers help enterprises modernize their use of data.
The study results will be published in a series of comprehensive ISG Provider Lens reports, called Databricks Ecosystem Partners, scheduled to be released in April 2026. The reports will cover companies offering managed data services and services to support optimization, modernization and AI/ML enablement.
Enterprise buyers will be able to use information from the reports to evaluate their current vendor relationships, potential new engagements and available offerings, while ISG advisors use the information to recommend providers to the firm’s buy-side clients.
Enterprises are increasingly adopting the Databricks data analytics platform to unify data, analytics and AI across their operations. Its Lakehouse architecture enables data modernization, stronger governance and faster insights while supporting scalable GenAI initiatives. As Databricks integrates data intelligence and AI, service providers translate its vision into practical solutions that help enterprises improve strategy, streamline migration, enhance operations and maintain secure, compliant data environments.
“Enterprises see a growing need to harness the full potential of their data using integrated AI capabilities,” said Aman Munglani, senior director and principal analyst at ISG. “Databricks and its partner ecosystem are enabling organizations to modernize data environments, improve governance and accelerate the adoption of trusted, scalable AI solutions.”
ISG has distributed surveys to more than 150 providers. Working in collaboration with ISG’s global advisors, the research team will produce two quadrants representing the typical Databricks ecosystem services enterprises are buying, based on ISG’s experience working with its clients. The two quadrants are:
- Modernization and AI/ML Enablement Services, evaluating providers that offer advisory, architecture, migration and deployment expertise on Databricks. These providers help enterprises modernize data environments and accelerate AI adoption through robust data engineering, analytics and governance capabilities.
- Managed Data and Optimization Services, assessing providers that deliver post-deployment operations and governance for Databricks environments. The providers are assessed on their ability to enable intelligent operations through automation, observability and policy-driven governance.
Geographically focused reports from the study will cover the global Databricks market and examine products and services available globally and in Brazil. ISG analysts Gowtham Kumar Sampath and Hemangi Patel (global) and Joao Mauro (Brazil) will serve as authors of the report.
