“At Baxter, we are committed to driving focused innovation that empowers clinicians to deliver exceptional patient care in high-pressure environments,” said James Teaff, president of Care & Connectivity Solutions at Baxter. “The stretcher is a vital bridge between care teams and patients. We designed the Dynamo Series to strengthen these connections by addressing some of the toughest challenges care teams face,2 including reducing the need for patient transfers and simplifying patient positioning across a range of procedures.”3
The Dynamo Series is intended to help enhance the care team experience, prevent patient falls and improve patient safety and comfort.
- Enhance the care team experience: For certain procedures, care teams are often required to spend time transferring the patient from a standard stretcher to a specialty stretcher, which can create physical strain on the care team and increase the patient’s risk of injury. The Dynamo Series is designed to help minimize the need for patient transfers3 with integrated stirrups that offer alternative patient positioning options and allow care teams to perform a range of procedures in the stretcher, including obstetric, pelvic and other exams.3 A full electric suite supports easier patient handling with multiple options for powered drive, height, head and knee adjustments, and an optional wireless connectivity offering enables delivery of select clinical safety and patient data to the patient’s electronic medical record to help care teams monitor patients remotely.
- Prevent patient falls: Each year, between 700,000 – 1 million people fall in U.S. hospitals, which can result in serious injuries and impacts to quality of life.4 The Dynamo Series features advanced technologies to help care teams anticipate risk and act quickly to reduce patient falls,5 while eliminating repetitive manual tasks to help ease their cognitive burden. These technologies include Baxter’s SafeView+ system that projects visual cues indicating the safety status, a three-mode bed exit alarm system that provides real-time notifications and auto-rearm functionality.3 An optional connectivity offering allows direct integration with Baxter’s Voalte Nurse Call and other systems, enabling real-time notifications to care teams.
- Improve patient safety and comfort: The Dynamo Series offers one of the widest care surfaces currently available in the stretcher category6 to help care teams safely transfer patients and improve comfort across a range of patient sizes.7 Features including one-touch positioning controls, ability to convert to a true chair position and USB port for easy device charging offer greater autonomy for patients.1,3
The Dynamo Series is now available for order in the U.S. and is expected to be available during the first half of 2026.
