Blue Elephant Energy appoints Malte Hippe as new COO. Dorothee Klinkmann becomes CFO.

Malte Hippe will join the company as Chief Operating Officer (COO) on 1 March. In this role, he will be responsible for the operational areas of asset management, engineering and IT. Mr. Hippe has over 20 years' experience in international consulting and management roles with a focus on renewable energies. Most recently, he was a partner and associate director at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), focusing on the development, construction and operation of large-scale renewable energy projects. Previously, he was Vice President of Operations for Central Europe at Ørsted, where he managed an international wind energy portfolio. He will bring his extensive experience in operational excellence, scaling, digitalisation, ESG and health and safety to BEE. Additionally, Dorothee Klinkmann formerly Head of Corporate and Project Finance and most recently Deputy CFO, has assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with immediate effect. Ms Klinkmann has worked at Blue Elephant Energy for several years, where she was responsible for structuring and managing the company’s debt financing. She has focused on financing growth and developing complex financing structures further. In her new role, she will play a key role driving the financial scaling of Blue Elephant Energy. The long-standing Chief Financial Officer, Dominik Seibert, has left the company for personal reasons. “With the creation of the COO role and the internal appointment to the CFO position, we are setting the course for the next phase of our company's growth,” says Felix Goedhart, the company's founder and CEO.
