Telefónica Deutschland Holding AG appoints new CFO and extends the management board
The supervisory board has resolved today to appoint Markus Rolle as CFO of Telefónica Deutschland Holding AG, effective as of 1 August 2017. The supervisory board agreed with Markus Rolle a term of
office of 3 years until 31 July 2020. He has been with E-Plus and Telefónica Deutschland in different leadership functions for more than 18 years. Markus Rolle studied Business Administration at
the University of Applied Sciences, Essen, Germany. Currently, Markus Rolle is Director Controlling of Telefónica Deutschland.
Markus Rolle will replace Rachel Empey, who is leaving the Company upon her own request and as mutually agreed with the supervisory board as of 31 July 2017. She will pursue new challenges after
her substantial contribution to the success of Telefónica Deutschland during the IPO, merger and integration period.
In addition, the company is further optimising its management structures within the context of the digital transformation. The supervisory board of Telefónica Deutschland Holding AG has decided today to eliminate the internal corporate board and elevate selected members to extend the management board, effective as of 1 August 2017, as follows:
Wolfgang Metze is appointed as Chief Consumer Officer responsible for the retail business with a clear focus on customer experience. Alfons Lösing is appointed Chief Partner and Business Officer, also responsible for Telefónica Next. Cayetano Carbajo Martin is appointed Chief Technology Officer. Guido Eidmann is appointed Chief Information Officer. Valentina Daiber is appointed Chief Officer for Legal and Corporate Affairs. Nicole Gerhardt is appointed Chief Human Resources Officer.
