Oberhaching / Ascheberg, January 8, 2024 - Daldrup & Söhne AG (ISIN DE0007830572), drilling technology and geothermal specialist, has been awarded a contract by Geoenergie Kirchweidach GmbH, Regensburg, for the revision of the existing, approximately 5,000 m long "Kirchweidach Gt2a" borehole in the district of Altötting. The project volume of the general contractor agreement amounts to around three million euros. The overhaul is intended to secure and expand the available output of the deep geothermal combined heat and power plant, which has been in operation since 2011. In addition to the revision of the boreholes, the contract for Daldrup und Söhne AG also includes the detailed planning services scheduled for mid-2024. Work on the borehole is scheduled for completion in spring 2025. With the maintenance work, the client is ensuring the long-term value retention of the boreholes and thus the power plant output.
