Workhorse to Showcase Industry-Leading Electric Commercial Vehicles at ACT Expo in Las Vegas

CINCINNATI, May 16, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Workhorse Group Inc. (Nasdaq: WKHS) (“Workhorse” or “the Company”), an American technology company focused on pioneering the transition to zero-emission commercial vehicles, today announced its upcoming participation as an exhibitor at the Advanced Clean Transportation Expo 2024 (“ACT Expo”).

The annual event will be held this year from May 20-23 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Workhorse will be located at Booth 3933, showcasing advanced medium-duty electric vehicles (“EV”) and innovative upfit options that are in production and available now.

As part of its showcase, Workhorse will feature a W56 medium-duty refrigerated EV step van, equipped with a Thermo King v520 Max unit. This innovative vehicle, developed in collaboration with Delivery Concepts, Inc., integrates the vehicle’s refrigeration system seamlessly into the high-voltage battery system, eliminating the need for diesel-powered refrigeration units or auxiliary battery packs. This breakthrough sets a new standard in clean refrigerated delivery for medium-duty vehicles, enhancing the efficiency of last-mile delivery.

The W56 step van’s ease of operation and excellent handling will be available for all ACT Expo attendees to enjoy as part of a “ride and drive” experience during the event. Drivers will have the opportunity to experience firsthand the W56’s excellent visibility, ease of entry and exit, tight turning radius, and smooth regenerative braking system. This system is a major contributor to the vehicle's impressive performance in recent demos and testing, returning up to nearly 50% of energy used and achieving an average of over 30 MPGe.

Additionally, Workhorse will display the Class 4 W4 CC chassis upfitted with a three cubic yard Rugby dump body. This 100% electric EV dump truck is engineered, tested, and ready for market, representing another first-of-its-kind innovation. The W4 CC on display is provided by Kingsburg Truck Sales, a certified Workhorse dealer located in California's Central Valley area.
