Manz AG wins two major orders in its Display division totalling around EUR
56 million

Reutlingen, February 7, 2013 - Manz AG, one of the world´s leading
high-tech engineering companies with an extensive technology portfolio in
the three strategic divisions ´Display´, ´Solar´ and ´Battery´, has
received two follow-up orders in its Display division with a volume of
around EUR 56 million. Manz thereby continues last year´s dynamic trend in
new orders received from the display industry. These orders will largely
become effective in terms of sales revenues and earnings in the first half
of 2013.

The orders, which have been placed by established Asian suppliers to the
electronics industry, comprise equipment to manufacture touchpanel
displays, and components for smart phones and tablet computers. These
follow-up orders underscore Manz AG´s successful progress over recent
years. The engineering company has become a sought-after provider of
high-tech production equipment in the display industry thanks to its
cross-sector technology transfer and extensive technological know-how. The
company especially benefits from its ´follow the market´ strategy in this
context. Regional presence on Asian markets allows Manz AG to offer German
engineering expertise to its Far Eastern clients at local prices. With
production, research and development sites in Taiwan and China, Manz is

The Display division has established itself as a very profitable and
high-growth pillar within Manz AG´s business model over recent years. With
the major order that has now been received, Manz is continuing this
positive trend in 2013: new order intake in this division has totalled more
than EUR 80 million in the November 2012 to January 2013 period. Dieter
