    DENVER, CO--(Marketwired - Nov 22, 2013) -  Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc. (the "Company" or "Thompson Creek") (NYSE: TC) (TSX: TCM), a diversified North American mining company, announced today that it granted a one-time employment inducement award to Jacques Perron, the Company's new Chief Executive Officer, as part of Mr. Perron's previously disclosed compensation package. The Company announced the appointment of Mr. Perron to serve as Chief Executive Officer on August 8, 2013, which appointment was effective on October 15, 2013.

    Effective November 21, 2013, Mr. Perron was granted a one-time inducement award comprised of stock options to purchase 400,000 shares of our common stock and 300,000 restricted share units, each vesting in three equal annual installments beginning on the first anniversary of the date of grant. The stock options will be exercisable for five years from the date of grant.
