Paramount Gold and Silver Corp Announces the Results of its Annual Shareholder Meeting

WINNEMUCCA, NEVADA--(Marketwired - Jan. 6, 2014) - Paramount Gold and Silver Corp. (NYSE MKT:PZG)(TSX:PZG)(FRANKFURT:P6G)(WKN:A0HGKQ) (the "Company") announces the results of the votes from its annual shareholder meeting which was held on December 16, 2013. Of the 155,731,068 shares outstanding and entitled to vote at the meeting, 111,100,510 shares or 71.34% were voted.

The Company is pleased to report that Christopher Crupi, Michel Stinglhamber, John Carden, Robert Dinning, Christopher Reynolds, Eliseo Gonzalez-Urien and Shawn Kennedy were re-elected as directors. The shareholders also approved the compensation of the Company's named executive officers ("Say on Pay") and re-appointed MNP LLP as auditors.
