Konecranes Factory Safety Specialist Designated Associate Safety Professional

SPRINGFIELD, OH--(Marketwired - July 31, 2014) - Muse, the Factory Safety Specialist for Konecranes' (HEX: KCR1V) Franklin and Springfield manufacturing facilities, met academic requirements and passed the first of two rigorous examinations in order to be awarded this designation by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.

Designation as an ASP is the first step in becoming a Certified Safety ProfessionalÒ (CSPÒ). CSPs specialize in protecting workers, the public, property, and the environment by identifying, evaluating, and controlling hazards. As an ASP, Muse must complete professional safety experience requirements and pass the comprehensive practice examination to obtain the CSP certification.

Muse's accomplishment reflects his broad knowledge of basic and applied sciences, safety program management and evaluation, equipment and facilities, fire prevention and protection, environmental aspects, system safety and product safety.
