Use of apps to top up prepaid mobile phones is on the rise
Latest analysis report by Peaches AG finds that users are increasingly
unlocking the potential for freedom offered by prepaid mobile phones
Wiesbaden, 26th August 2014 - Apps are already used by one in six Germans
to top up their prepaid mobile phones. This figure has been revealed by
Peaches AG, a company that has made a name for itself on the mobile market
with its prelado platform. The service available at www.prelado.de enables
prepaid mobile phone users to top up credit for over 35 mobile network
operators, including Telekom, Vodafone, Telefonica O2 and E-Plus.
Furthermore, companies can use Peaches AG's White Label solution to
integrate the platform into their own website using a design that matches
their personal look and feel. "Mobile phones and the concept of paying in
advance have always gone hand in hand and nothing seems more logical than
the freedom to top up prepaid mobile phones on the go," states Reinhold M.
Sigler, Managing Director of Peaches AG.
Despite this, many people remain unaware of just how much potential prepaid
mobile phones have. "Unfortunately, too many consumers still believe that
only users unable to afford a contract choose to pay for services in
advance. But that's nonsense. In reality, those who buy credit upfront are
making a smart investment and are ultimately only paying for what they
actually use. No administrative costs, no lengthy periods of commitment, no
recording of data that others are likely to use for their own means. And
we're making all of this available on the go," explains Sigler, summing up
the advantages of prepaid phones.
Prepaid users have extensive control over their costs and this is also
reflected in the varying amounts by which consumers generally top up their
phones. The most frequent amount set aside for messaging and calls is 15
Euros, followed by the sums of 20 and 30 Euros. "We allow prepaid mobiles
to be topped up anywhere at any time. This is flexibility at its best and
is what we mean by freedom."
The Peaches Group (www.peachesgroup.com) provides independent prepaid
services. Users can use Peaches to top up their prepaid mobiles in real
time on the Internet or their smartphone. The only information needed is
the telephone number and the mobile operator. The service already supports
more than 35 mobile operators (including Telekom, Vodafone, E-Plus,
Telefonica O2) and the movement is growing. The simple and flexible prepaid
service is available for smartphones via the free prelado app for Android,
iOS and Windows Phone. Currently, the Peaches Group also provides a
customised White Label solution for companies. The ability to offer the
prepaid service via a company's own website as a White Label service
increases traffic on the company's website, boosts customer retention and
generates increased turnover as a result.
