UNIWHEELS transforms its legal form into a stock company
Transformation carried out in November
Bad Durkheim, November 26th 2014: UNIWHEELS Holding (Germany) GmbH, a
leading European manufacturer of alloy wheels has transformed its previous
legal form of limited liability company into a stock company. The
conversion to UNIWHEELS AG was entered on November 24th 2014 in the
Commercial Register.
As a solid European SME with annual turnover of approximately 400 million
euros, the Company wants to provide a structural and organizational basis
for the planned growth in the coming year. Due to very positive business
development over the past periods, UNIWHEELS had recently repaid
prematurely corporate bonds which were issued in April 2011. An expansion
of the Polish production plant is being planned as a part of the continuous
growth strategy.
The transformation to a stock company is the next logical step in the
Company's development and reflects the existing high organisational and
management standards which UNIWHEELS already complies with today.
The Chairman of the Executive Board of UNIWHEELS AG is the majority owner
and the former CEO of UNIWHEELS Group, Ralf Schmid. The current CFO, Dr.
Karsten Obenaus, will take over the position of Chief Finance Officer of
the Executive Board. The newly formed Supervisory Board consists of three
experienced members. UNIWHEELS CEO Ralf Schmid said: "The transformation to
a stock company will professionalize our organizational and management
structure further. The planned application of International Accounting
Standards (IFRS) at year end and the introduction of a management system of
corporate governance support this process and provide a solid basis for
further stable growth of UNIWHEELS."
