Carrie Shaeffer Heads Swinerton Government Team

DENVER, CO--(Marketwired - Dec 1, 2014) - In a strategic move to strengthen leadership and further expand their expertise within the government sector, Swinerton is pleased to welcome Carrie Shaeffer as Division Manager of Swinerton Builders Government. Carrie will lead Swinerton's Government group which is based in Denver. In her new role Carrie will be charged with the overall success and management of the division and will provide an important check and balance with each project team through the review of project cost analysis, schedule, and quality of work performed.

Having spent more than 26 years in the construction industry, Carrie brings to Swinerton a depth of project experience and unmatched passion for innovation and excellence. As an advocate of change to improve performance, Carrie has successfully delivered complex projects, grown market sectors, and developed high-level performance teams. Prior to joining Swinerton, Carrie served as the Vice President at Barton Malow Company leading operations in multiple regions throughout the Eastern United States. As Vice President she developed annual and long-term business model strategies successfully achieving geographic growth and market diversity.

A LEED AP and DBIA accredited professional, Carrie is actively involved in the community and shares her time as a member of the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets Rice Center for Leadership Board of Advisors, Auburn University Masters in Integrated Design & Construction Advisory Council, and is a member of the Leadership Charlottesville Alumni Association Board. Carrie's commitment to the industry and proven ability as an innovator, visionary, and creative leader promises to build Swinerton to new heights.
