In the context of the arbitration proceedings pending in the US, Balda
Investments USA LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Balda AG, decided to file
a counterclaim against the sellers of Balda C. Brewer, Inc. (formerly known
as C. Brewer Company). These sellers had filed an arbitration motion
against Balda Investments USA LLC at the end of December 2014. Balda
Investments USA LLC assert claims for compensatory damages in an amount of
approx. 12 m USD, as well as punitive damages in an undetermined amount and
request the awarding of costs in connection with the suit to the sellers.
Considering that the arbitral proceeding is pending and will further
develop, Balda AG can currently not make any further comment in this
respect.
