IRVINE, CA--(Marketwired - January 27, 2015) - ThedaCare (www.thedacare.org), community health system provider in Northeast Wisconsin, has replaced its outdated project management system with Project Insight project management software (www.projectinsight.net) as an incentive to better serve the over 150,000 patients and communities who foster their health care services.

ThedaCare's 100-year history cultivated the upbringing of seven hospitals, 33 clinics, and 22 physician locations. Currently, 6,900 employees serve with the common goal of overcoming the constant demands of the health care industry.

It wasn't long before ThedaCare realized that their rapid expansion throughout the communities of Wisconsin was raising internal challenges aside from their patients' growing pains.

The health care provider, whose original project tracking solution was not revealed, offered limited capabilities, forcing the team to become dependent on email. There was no central repository accessible to the staff or project managers which made it difficult to budget, forecast and manage resources.

Responsive to the issue, ThedaCare took action by putting the cause and effect theory into play among their teams.

"We surveyed our project teams and asked how often they used our current software solution," said Vikki Baumler, Marketing Communications Planner. "We discovered that half the team members used the software 25% of the time. In addition, our cost analysis revealed we were wasting $5,000 a year paying for 50 licenses that a third of our team members never used."

After an extensive evaluation, a list of established requirements was in place along with six runner-up project management solutions. Based on company priorities and team survey, ThedaCare ultimately opted for Project Insight.

Since ThedaCare's project management software implementation in July of 2013 productivity quickly improved, demonstrating the following results:
