Pfeiffer Vacuum reports preliminary figures for FY 2014:

- Sales at EUR 406.6 million

- EBIT amounts to EUR 44.7 million

- Incoming orders at EUR 404.9 million

Asslar, February 20, 2015. Pfeiffer Vacuum announces first results for FY
2014. According to preliminary and unaudited numbers, FY 2014 sales
amounted to EUR 406.6 million, a decrease of 0.5 percent compared to the
previous year's figure of EUR 408.7 million. EBIT amounted to EUR 44.7
million (prior year: EUR 50.5 million). This resulted in an EBIT margin of
11.0 percent for FY 2014.

Order intake for FY 2014 amounted to EUR 404.9 million (prior year: EUR
398.0 million). This resulted in a book-to-bill ratio of 1.00 for FY 2014
(prior year: 0.97). Order intake increased 24 percent in the fourth quarter
to EUR 109.7 million (Q4/2013: EUR 88.5 million). Year-end FY 2014 order
backlog amounted to EUR 59.3 million (year-end FY 2013: EUR 61.1 million).

Manfred Bender, CEO of Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology AG, comments: "Order
intake in the fourth quarter was more than ten million euros higher than in
the previous quarters. This development, including orders received in the
first few weeks of FY 2015, points towards the year having started off
positively. For this reason as well as our strong balance sheet and the
improved operating cash flow, we prefer to keep the dividend payment stable
for FY 2014 despite slightly lower net earnings. As a result, management
and the supervisory board intend to propose a dividend of EUR 2.65 / share
at the AGM in May."

The complete audited results will be announced on the day of the financial
press conference which is scheduled for March 26, 2015.
