HELLA moves up into MDAX

Inclusion of the listed family-owned company on 21 September 2015

Lippstadt, 04 September 2015. Deutsche Börse AG announced yesterday that
HELLA KGaA Hueck & Co. will be included in the MDAX stock index. From 21
September 2015, the shares of HELLA, a globally leading automotive
supplier, will be listed in the MDAX. "The shareholders had already
targeted the MDAX inclusion at the time of the IPO," says Dr Jürgen
Behrend, Managing Partner of HELLA KGaA Hueck & Co. "We are excited that
this step is now imminent only a few months after our initial listing."

Dynamic share price development post IPO

The HELLA shares have been trading in the Prime Standard of the regulated
market of the Frankfurt stock exchange since the successful IPO on 11
November 2014. The family shareholders had originally floated about 15% of
the shares in the company via two private placements. The stock started
trading at EUR 27.50. Its inclusion in the SDAX followed as early as
January 2015. At the end of the lock-up period for existing shareholders,
the family shareholders placed additional shares in May 2015 bringing free
float to about 28% as a result.
